We have been to the salon as a family a half a dozen times or better. The second time we went my wife, Son,and I set an appointment for 5 o'clock sat down. Nobody acknowledged us for almost a half hour. They finally started working on my son and wife and I sat there for another 20 minutes and finally got up and walked out my last experience was no better I took my father and son into get pedicures sat there for 30 minutes they finally started working on my son and I and my dad sat there the whole time waiting my and I got done and they finally got somebody over to do my dad's nails. We had an appointment at 4:30 and didn't get out of there till after six they paid for my one beer that I got and did not do anything but say sorry 500 times this place has some of the worst service ever seen in my life These people have no consideration of anybody's time!!! read more

My nail tech did a great job, I usually go 2 months between pedicures, it had been exactly one month and I needed another one because of how poorly the last one was done at another place. Called and made an appointment for 5:30 pm as the manager said that was when they could accommodate 2 manicures. We got there and they took one of us right away and 45 minutes later they were done but hadn't started on me yet. I decided I was not going to wait, and went to leave. One of the nail techs said that she was told I was ok to wait. This was not true. She said she was going to work on me at that point. I let her know no thanks, because I felt like if I was going to make an appointment to come in, I shouldn't have to stay for 2 hrs when it could have been done in half the time. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to make the appointment. She kept arguing and being dismissive and I had to repeat myself a few times. She eventually apologized. I paid for the other manicure. But this is the phone conversation I had with someone at the spa today- Me: (nicely) Hi, are you guys busy right now? Worker: (annoyed with an attitude) we SURE ARE! Me: (a little surprise someone from this nail salon would talker to me like that since I always have taken my friend or family over) oh ok, would you be able to fit me and my sister in for a mani pedi? Worker: you can come and wait but nobody has time for you right now Me: ok, is there anyone there that can do dip for my nails? Worker: (more annoyed) dip is all DONE for today. At this point, I felt it was such a waste of my time to want to patronize this shop, I hung up the phone without saying bye. The person on the phone is not the usual person I talked to and does not speak with a Vietnamese accent. I was so shocked that at this time and age, people would still treat their customers like shit. I think potentially they are saturated with customers and they think they could do that? Well guess what, I sure won't ever recommend my friend and family; or come back ever again. PS to reply to the owner: I failed to see how mismanagement of your establishment is my fault. You could be busy, I serviced over 400- 500 customers today at my job and I think busy is not an excuse for you to be rude. And by no mean do I think the conversation was going to get to "do you want to schedule an appointment ?" You were annoyed at me and sounded short all along, so why take the abuse when I don't deserve it. You are not helping your case here. read more

Happy I chose bamboo after a long search for a nail spa in Omaha. Mandy was very particular, if something wasn't right she want back and fixed it. My nails aren't too thick, and the length is perfect. I work in a warehouse and I wanted length from acrylic but as short as she possibly could. To some nail techs, as short as possible doesn't exactly register and they still leave too much length, Mandy got the length PERFECT the first time. Also, no harsh fumes. Update from my last experience: the manager Andy took very good care if me and allowed me to come back in to have my previous set fixed by another nail tech who really took her time and made sure everything was to my liking and perfect. She was extremely nice and talkative and didn't make me feel bad for wanting them redone. Andy also was very nice and made sure I was happy throughout the process and with the end result. Called ahead for a fill ($20) at noon. Arrived early with numerous techs available. They offered shellac and I requested regular polish. I was looking for a pale polish since it's spring and most of the selections were fall/winter/darker shades. I sat in the advised chair and waited a couple minutes. She again offered shellac after I'd selected the polish. She started grinding the polish off my small nail when she remembered I had on regular polish (something that comes off with remover). My hand was placed on an awkward fan stand that I've never had used any other place. The fill part went okay, hence the two stars, even though my pinkie was scratched a couple times. She quickly painted my nails and as she was sitting the polish down, she was asking me to move to the drying table. There was no one waiting for the chair. As I sat down with the wet polish, I knocked my thumb nail. She took off the thumb polish, quickly painted two coats, and before it set, glopped on the top coat as she stood there. This caused rippling and bubbles. She applied the top coat to the rest of my nails as she stood there, not at a table. The quick paint job can be noticed because there are two start lines of the two different coats. My nails are also different lengths when compared to the other hand. read more

Well that Google search turned out to be a success. It's close to home. They are patient with walk-in traffic. They offer a kids menu. I had midwestern winter feet. It was ugly. Dean was assigned to me and he got my scales under control in no time. Mia did a great job on the child's feet. For $35 pedicure they offer a paraffin dip for those scaly feet. I look forward to going back. The nail polish color choices we large and varied. We both chose OPI. There were some brands on their wall I have not heard of before. Let's oks like everyone there for a manicure was doing a dip on there nails. There were some beautiful colors. I wish I knew the name of the employee that was stuck with the grumpy woman who was getting her first dip and grouching about every single step. The employee was patient, professional and kind with this customer. We can't wait to head back and try them out again. Will check back in a few days to see how the color wears. read more

I loved my time here! I got a dip powder set with coffin tips and it was $45. One thing I loved was that they didn't charge extra for glitter and color changes unlike most nail salons I've been to. However, my friend went along and got hers done as well and they weren't the best. If you go, make sure to ask for Rachel, she was amazing! I had high hopes for this place. After all I trust my fellow yelpers. Anyway to the review... I called right when they opened and made appointments for my mom and I for 2pm for pedicures and manicures. We arrived at 1:50 for the appointments. The manager set up the chairs and told us to sit in them - so we did expecting that we'd both start at the same time.. nope! I proceeded to sit there with my water cold for 30 minutes while my mom started right away. Not only did the manager not come over and apologize or say we will be with you, he ignored us. After a while I started my pedicure.. if I was by myself I would have walked out. I decided that they had enough of my money for the pedicure that there was no way id do the manicures with them. Sorry but sitting for 30 minutes when I had an appointment is wrong. Finally the lady doing my mom's pedicure told her to pick a color for her manicure. My mom told the lady that we didn't have time and would not be doing the manicures. The lady talked to her manager and he quickly came over as he knew he would be losing around 80$. He proceeded to argue with us that our manicures were at 3 and when we said that he didn't even come over he told us he was busy. I'm sorry but if you're a manager you need to let people know you're running behind and apologize. So bottom line, not only were they late for my appointment.. I went here with some friends and did not have a great experience. We went on a Saturday afternoon. I told them that I had dip nails on, and that it had gel on top (my normal nail lady did that because of the color I wanted). All they did was take my gel polish off and then they "filled" the dip in... it's not acrylic, you can't do that. You have to remove ALL of the dip, then redo it. They rushed to get my nails done and it just felt like they didn't care. Two weeks later it took a different nail salon 1 hour to soak of the dip because they filled it and didn't listen to me when I told them it wasn't acrylic. I won't be going back. read more

My family has been coming here since its opening and they treat us like family (clearly my daughter and wife more so than me.) The prices are competitive and their shtick is the addition of a "free" glass of wine at the higher price points. I've not partake of this particular delight, nor am I an expert taster, so I can't comment on the quality aspect. But they'll always give it a soda or water, no matter the price so that's nice. My wife and daughter always do their nails here and are on a first name basis with a few of the workers. I'm a sucker for a good pedi, which they do well. And the TV's are sufficient to see from anywhere and have HGTV or DIY Network, so at least I'm not suffering through Lifetime movies while getting my toes buffed. They do get busy on the obvious days (e.g., Mothers Day, Prom, etc.) so it's good to call ahead and make an appointment. Otherwise, walk-ins are rarely waiting more than 10-15 minutes; the standard is straight to the chairs. Regarding decor, it's not as fancy as some places with fish tanks or fake Roman columns; it's clean and efficient, which is fine by me. Overall, definitely worth the time and money to head on down to Giles and I-80. read more

I stopped in here based on the other fabulous reviews, what a mistake. I arrived around 2:40pm and signed in for a mani/pedi. There was another large group of women that had just walked in before me. However, the wait time was minimal--just enough time to pick out my polish. I was directed towards the pedicure chair and my nail tech "Kim" came over right away. She asked if I would like something to drink and offered water or coke products. They advertise a free glass of wine with a pedicure. However, the wine is only included with two of the highest price point pedicures ($35 and $45). The problem with this is that they don't ask you what kind of pedicure you want before you are offered another beverage. I opted for the $35 pedi and was never offered a glass of wine. My main purpose of getting a pedicure is for the callus treatment. I've found it difficult to find a place that actually takes the time to focus on your rough problem areas, this place is no different. The callus remover portion of the pedicure left a lot to be desired. My heels are still rough and my calluses were barely treated. The sugar scrub, orange peel, warm towels and hot stone and massage portion of the pedicure was nice, but it is really just a lot of fluff and wasted time that could be spent truly grooming and scrubbing the feet. I had expressed interested in a powder dip manicure vs. shellac. The man that was working behind the counter, that appears to be the manager did a great job explaining what the powder dip consisted of, how the fill works, etc. I was really excited to try this out after discussing with him! When it came time for me to transition from the pedicure chair to the manicure chair I was told that it would be a little bit of a wait because there was only one technician that was skilled in the powder dip. I was fine with waiting. I sat for a few minutes and she came over to me and asked if I was interested in doing the powder dip over my natural nails or if I wanted to add a tip for length. We had a brief discussion about this and then she went back to another client. Another few minutes passed and then the manager guy came back over and told me that the tech was running behind and that it would be a little while before she could get to me. I already knew this and was prepared to wait. However, he pushed me to come back for the powder dip or offered someone else to do a shellac. I told him I wasn't interested in shellac. I grabbed my ticket and started to stand up to pay for my pedicure and he again asked if I wanted shellac or if I could come back later today. As we got to the counter together he was apologizing to me and asking me to come back. I told him that I didn't have time to return later today or the next because I was leaving on vacation. Once I made it clear that I wasn't able to come back, he expressed his apologizes again. I told him it was okay, because I mean really what are you going to say? There's 50,000 other nail salons that would gladly take my business. Overall, I was really hoping to love this place and have a new go to nail salon. I guess the search continues. read more
