A little context: Originally Sears was out (yes, they still exist). Having repaired a few refrigerators, garage doors and operator control boards myself over the years, I knew things weren't right with these Sears guys (yes, plural -- well, one in training, poor sod). They weren't dishonest, really, just excessive. Especially with cost (...pretty obviously constrained by dinosaur policy -- what felt geared towards getting a fleeced customer to buy a new appliance from Sears). The Sears guys estimated a four-figure two-man project, including for two off-the-shelf generic machine screws, $37 each, parts only. (Still had to pay them for coming out.) Bless their little hearts. I can see how people get bamboozed by this blue-shirted Sears "professionalism". Hearing good things, I contacted Daniil. And in a little more than a day, paid an eighth of the price for way more, better, no-nonsense, good natured, in-and-out service. With warranty. The owner Rudy told me that he declined the job because it was timely and that he would be on his knees for an extended period of time. However this NOT true if you do a google search for repair Frigidaire ice maker flap you will see that it is a 15 min job and since you remove the ice maker from the fridge door you are not on your knees. I think the job was declined because I told the owners wife on my initial call that I had second thoughts on paying over $125 for this simple repair. I actually should not have calked especially after the fiasco I had with trying to get my washer repaired a few years ago... lessen learned will find a more reputable repair shop.

He cleared out the heavily clogged dryer vent tube to get the dryer up and working again. He vacuumed up any excess lint on the floor before he left. He also checked the dryer itself to make sure all is good. You don't see this level of service every day, and so Advanced Appliance Service certainly deserves five stars!

I was easily able to schedule an appointment with this company 4 days ahead of time to take a look…read moreat my washing machine which had just stopped mid-cycle. The technician who came out to do the repair was named Ryan. He was a real whiz with my washing machine and had it running in about 5 minutes. Also, he was kind enough to tell me that this should be my last repair since he noticed a more expensive part that is starting to go bad on the machine. The cost for them to take a look at the machine was $50 which is supposed to be 1/2 the price of their nearest competitor. The only reason I gave the company 4 stars instead of 5 is that they were 3.5 hours late for the appointment on an evening when I had early plans and I wasn't sure that I would have time to get the repair completed.

It is the 22 of December and I was hoping to be able to use my oven for Christmas Eve and Christmas, but I don't think that it going to happen now.
