We couldn't do same day, so we met the following morning. Just as hoped, the guy kept it straightforward, honest, helpful and as described. A little context: Originally Sears was out (yes, they still exist). Having repaired a few refrigerators, garage doors and operator control boards myself over the years, I knew things weren't right with these Sears guys (yes, plural -- well, one in training, poor sod). They weren't dishonest, really, just excessive. Especially with cost (...pretty obviously constrained by dinosaur policy -- what felt geared towards getting a fleeced customer to buy a new appliance from Sears). The Sears guys estimated a four-figure two-man project, including for two off-the-shelf generic machine screws, $37 each, parts only. (Still had to pay them for coming out.) Bless their little hearts. I can see how people get bamboozed by this blue-shirted Sears "professionalism". Hearing good things, I contacted Daniil. And in a little more than a day, paid an eighth of the price for way more, better, no-nonsense, good natured, in-and-out service. With warranty. I received a call back Monday at 8 a.m. Rick came out Wednesday on time at 8 a.m. I had received a text the night before confirming the appointment, and a text that morning that the tech was on his way. I like that! Rick diagnosed the problem, he ordered the parts, and I paid the service fee by check. Following the same procedure, he and Mike arrived at 8 a.m. the next Monday and installed the parts. Then they checked the circuit board. Nothing. Rick gave me a price for the board, including the parts he had just installed. I decided for that cost I could buy a new washer. The techs were very kind, agreeing, and charged me only for the service, which I'd already paid. They did remove the new parts to return. Note to self: If the washer is so off balanced that it "walks" several inches, get it checked out now. That rattling/walking can loosen other parts.

I was easily able to schedule an appointment with this company 4 days ahead of time to take a look…read moreat my washing machine which had just stopped mid-cycle. The technician who came out to do the repair was named Ryan. He was a real whiz with my washing machine and had it running in about 5 minutes. Also, he was kind enough to tell me that this should be my last repair since he noticed a more expensive part that is starting to go bad on the machine. The cost for them to take a look at the machine was $50 which is supposed to be 1/2 the price of their nearest competitor. The only reason I gave the company 4 stars instead of 5 is that they were 3.5 hours late for the appointment on an evening when I had early plans and I wasn't sure that I would have time to get the repair completed.

I called at 3:00 and they said they didn't have my information in the system. It is the 22 of December and I was hoping to be able to use my oven for Christmas Eve and Christmas, but I don't think that it going to happen now. I will not be trying to make another appointment with them to fix my oven. I will be going elsewhere.
