I took my MIL to this dentist and though I am not one of their patients - I wanted to give my…read moreopinion on what I know about the place. First of all - the staff at the front completely know and understand my MIL situation and are eager and very able to assist us in making appointments. The waiting area is very accommodating - plenty of chairs, magazines and a TV to keep you busy while waiting for your appointment. Seeing one of the front staff caring for the doctor's 6 week old baby brings a warm and fuzzy feeling about the place and though they may not be known as the areas best children's dentist - they certainly are family oriented. Also - the children I saw coming and going were happier leaving then coming - so they must be doing something right for the kids! Everyone left with a little goody bag and a brighter smile while I sat and waited. WHAT - wait - yes - the wait was a bit long, but they told us as soon as we arrived that they were running slightly behind schedule. But even running slightly behind - my MIL was in an out quicker then most dentists or doctor's offices I've been to. The waiting room and restroom were also very clean, which is a good sign considering those same cleanliness rules are applied to the person who's hands might be in your mouth. Overall - I'd give this place 4 stars - I can only give my super fantastic dentist the 5 star rating!

I've had some challenges with this dental practice. As a working professional attending graduate…read moreschool, involved in my community, and managing a busy family schedule, I sometimes find it difficult to give the perfect amount of notice. However, I believe in open communication and try to keep them informed. One instance was when I missed an appointment because I needed to pick up my Autistic son who was having a tough time at his day program. Sadly, in my dismissal letter, this was one of my "missed" appointments. This strikes me as callous. I wish the practice was a bit more understanding of these situations. It might be best to explore other options if you're looking for a practice with more flexibility.

I would give Dr Kubit 10 Stars if I could. I was having a common problem of middle age where…read morecavities were forming under older restorations that didnt fit right and were done with materials that leak over time. I knew that I needed a specialist prosthodontist...a dentist that is board qualified in restorative dentistry...and I was prepared to travel to Pittsburgh or Cleveland if needed. After a bit of research, and upon the recommendation by a general dentist I know, I found that Dr Kubit is the only board qualified prosthodontist in the Erie region. After my first appointment I knew that I had found the dentist my teeth have been needing for the past 10 years. Over the past 12+ months Dr Kubit and her team have restored several of my teeth, some of which were very complicated. And her practice has hometown prices that are more than fair for the high quality care that she and her team provide. In fact the prices are less than my former primary care dentist. I am very thankful that I found Dr Kubit, and recommend her very highly!

The dentist in charge blamed me for her hygienist's inability to understand the fear and pain I was experiencing. The hygienist was speaking in a loud demeaning voice, which I later found out was the practice of this office, so that all other people, employees and patients, in the office heard what was going on in my visit. I explained that I wasn't numb but did not allow additional anesthesia due to the absolutely painful injections I'd already received. The 4 injections numbed my face, including my nose, cheek next to my nose, and my eye, but left my gums and tongue completely NOT numb. I told the hygienist I wasn't numb. This is when I felt the hygienist began a chastising tone with me, speaking very loudly. I called to speak to the dentist. She told me that I came to the office expecting a bad visit and that is what I got, a horrible experience. I actually prayed that all would go well, that I would be numb, and all would be fine. But that was not my experience. It's been more than 24 hours, and I'm still experiencing debilitating pain. And for my prize, I was given mouthwash that will stain my teeth, according to the paperwork, and an electric toothbrush. I would have rather had an experienced hygienist that was properly trained in calming the anxious patient.
