When I spent $89 on underwear everything was fine. The associate was helpful and professional with me and others in the store. When I returned the next day for a few exchanges for proper sizes the same associate wasn't great. I was a difficult client, not understanding the deals between the different styles of underwear and she became frustrated. At one point she sarcastically said 'it's just underwear' when I waffled on colors, I was obviously a challenge for her. I still spent another $48. When I went home and thought about the interaction, I was left with a negative feeling for the brand. I returned a few days later to return a few items. This time I was made to feel uncomfortable by the same associate during my return. After my return was complete, I shopped around for a moment to see if I could find anything else to spend money on until the associate was asked by another associate (maybe the store manager) for clarification on my return and the 2 walked to the back of the store where I couldn't hear them to discuss my situation. I told a 3rd associate that remained at the register "I think I'll go now." I have never had such a poor experience in a store that I wanted to spend money in. I plan to return everything that hasn't been worn because of this associate's customer service. Soma lost a new customer.

We walked into the store around midday today, and despite the fact that there were three workers all behind the counter socializing and having their own fun connecting, no one bothered to greet us or ask if we needed help. About 20 minutes into our experience whereby I was specifically looking for an insulated rain coat I was hoping to walk away with that day, I asked these workers if the one I was looking for was something they carried in their store. One of the workers proceeded to help me, but they did nothing more that look in the exact same places I had looked and then they suggested that I go to Colorado Mills Eddie Bauer Outlet Store to shop (which is a good trek away from the Aspen Grove location). At no time did they call any other stores for me hoping to locate the jacket I was searching for with the offer of having the jacket mailed to my home. They returned to the front where they continued to socialize while I looked some more through the discounted rack. When I returned to the front of the store ready to buy a sweater, they told me the best they could do was to suggest I look online which I did when I returned home (I accidentally left my phone at home). That's when I discovered that the EXACT jacket I was looking for (same size and color) was at the Aspen Grove store. These workers and particularly the one helping me felt put out that I needed help, they were not friendly, and they were mostly dismissive and rude. Despite the fact that I like Eddie Bauer products, I will not be shopping at this store again.
