    Lentil soup

I went here for the plate of nations special. Banana grills has been participating for over 10 years. The Service is really nice. The ambience feels very neighborhood, with teenagers and families from the area. They offer lentil soup you can tell everything is made fresh. I particularly love the hummus and the pita bread. It's a great value.

I know I rate a lot of things 5 stars, but this place REALLY, REALLY, REALLY deserves it. After a hospital stay, the last thing I felt like doing was cooking. Bananas Grill doesn't do their own delivery, so Postmates it is. When a third party does the delivery, it's often cold and a mess, but NOT AT BANANAS GRILL. They do not stand for that nonsense! Not only was my food hot/warm, but each item that might possibly get gross packed together (tzatziki, feta, falafel, pita) was wrapped up so it was not soggy, wet, or messy. I have never in my life seen food wrapped as carefully and mindfully as Bananas packs it. They also included plenty of napkins and a set of silverware. Who runs this place? Cher? Jesus? Nothing would surprise me at this point. Please notice I haven't even gotten to the food yet. AND THE FOOD IS DIVINE. Like over the top, from portions to pricing, it's all good. We got the Bananas combo, baklava, samboosa, and Greek salad. The combo came with 2 chicken skewers, chicken, rice, gyro meat, 2 dolma, 2 falafel, hummus, 4 pita triangles, a little salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes. It's also only 20. There were 2 tzatziki and one honey mustard. Possibly the best dolma I've ever had. The rice was delicious, both types of chicken were moist and tasty, and I hear the gyro meat was good. My 3 yo seemed to like it, too. The hummus was smooth and came with an olive. Pita was warm, soft, and delicious. Falafel was perfectly crisp and tasty. I cannot wait to try more on their menu, or even just order when I want an actual hot meal prepared with care.

Nice quiet family owned restaurant where you are always treated with respect and a smile. Located in the Seattles rainier valley. There a variety of food from Gyros to Burger and fries. I opted for lentil soup it's light yet filling.

Owner is super friendly, great casual spot for dine in or take out. The lentil soup was one of the best I've ever had.

We ordered the Plate of Nations platter for $33. The cashier was very friendly and offered us water cups and complimentary lentil soup. The piping hot lentil soup was served with some seasoning on top. Very delicious! Next we received the appetizers including pita, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, and very light and fluffy falafel! Amazing! After that, we received the salads and main platter. The salads were not unusual, but the main platter was quite impressive. A fillet of perfectly seasoned fish was served over a generous bed of well seasoned rice. Chicken shawarma and gyros meat filled out the sides of the plate. A little cup of sauce was provided, and we loved it. The kitchen was hopping and service was friendly and welcoming. Although we ordered at the counter, each item was delivered to our table with a smile.

Boring. I put sriracha on as you can see here, but I think they could work on these

Did I order the wrong thing? Bananas Grill was a miss for me. $13 for a measly little gyro and a side of "Greek Fries" - Oily French fries with some feta and seasoning. I thought the beef and lamb gyro was very bland and dull. The picture of the chicken shawarma gyro looks a lot better and seems like a more bountiful portion. I've been on such a Mediterranean kick lately but this meal was a let down.

Been coming to this great little place for years. Today my first time back since Covid. Boy am I glad I did. Got the exquisite Lamb and Beef Gyro. Brought tears to my eyes. Just perfect. Then the family owner gave me a complimentary cup of soup! Wow. I will buy a quart of this delicious stuff. Clean place, great service, sunny colors. All great. BroganfromSeattle

I ordered this place from a delivery food app and enjoyed the food a lot. This business is a black-owned business that is owned by a Seattle local. Their food is on the cheaper side as far as pricing and you get a good amount of food for what you pay. When I ordered from here, I got the chicken wings, chicken shawarma sandwich, and falafel. My favorite was the chicken shawarma sandwich, it had a lot of flavor and was super filling. Overall, I would eat here again when I'm in the mood for Mediterranean-type food.

The spicy chicken is perfectly seasoned and crispy, which is a great plus, and their sides really hit the spot. My go to sides are adobo rice, white rice, and the spaghetti. I personally am not a fan of the mashed potatoes but the gravy is something you can put on both rice sides to kick it up a notch. The spaghetti on the other hand just tastes amazing. If it's your first time, I recommend the spaghetti first, then try the adobo rice. All in all, I highly recommend this spot!

My friends got the Wild West and Yakuza Fries. Wild West was meh, Yakuza fries had a lot of the sweet chili sauce which felt a little sickening after awhile. The Sultan Fries also seemed to have a bit of that sweetness at the bottom which seemed odd to me. There were also additional sauces on the table (ketchup, ranch, and honey mustard that they call Smexy Mustard). I liked the Smexy Mustard. I think a way to improve would be to fry the fries (and breaded shrimp in the Yakuza fries) a little longer so they're crispier and can hold the weight of the sauces. The really good item though is their fried chicken. I would recommend that over the fries. Get their fried chicken!! There's a parking lot across the street. Service was very nice; seems to be run by a couple of nice young guys. The place was pretty clean with the exception of some flies that circled the air. My friend accidentally sat on a fly too.

And a solid awkward moment where he stand there and watches me eat. Demon Huntrix Meal This meal comes with two sauces. The Hunter Sauce is a sweet chili sauce that's more tangy than spicy. The Demon Sauce is a mustard based sauce with purple coloring. Both sauces were kind of mid to me, nothing terrible, but a little bland with just a slight mustard kick. The Ramyeon McShaker Fries were actually my favorite part. They really do taste like instant ramen seasoning, with a light garlic and cheesy flavor. I enjoyed these a lot. The 10-piece Chicken McNuggets were crispy as usual, always a reliable classic. Big Arch The Big Arch is basically like a bigger Big Mac, but the sauce tastes more tangy and creamy. It's definitely worth trying at least once before it disappears from the menu. Overall, some fun limited-time items to check out, especially if you're curious about the flavors.
