The food is really really good. But it's expensive. $4 for a bottle pop. Plan on spending $25 per person. It is nice tho and good food.

I'd read so many glowing reviews about Bandit Taco's breakfast burrito that I had to try it. Unfortunately, it was a major disappointment from start to finish. First off, the breakfast burrito isn't listed anywhere in the store. When I asked the staff, they just nodded--no explanation, no details. I had to pull up their online menu on my phone to figure it out myself. When ordering, I asked to try both sauces on the side and even offered to pay extra, but was told I could only pick one. I went with the chipotle sauce, which turned out to be more like a slightly flavored mayo than anything close to salsa. I'm used to a proper salsa with burritos (breakfast or otherwise), so this was confusing and disappointing. Granted, they did say "sauce" and not "salsa," but mayo wasn't what I was expecting. The burrito itself was just... sad. The cheese was freezing cold, which threw off the entire flavor and texture. The potatoes were lukewarm, the eggs were the only component with any real heat (and even that was just "okay"), and none of it was seasoned--not even basic salt and pepper. I get that maybe the sauce is supposed to carry the flavor, but a little seasoning would have gone a long way. I only managed a few bites before giving up. Having lived in SoCal for a while, I know a good breakfast burrito, and this was honestly one of the worst I've had. East Coast breakfast burritos strike again. I briefly considered coming back to try their lunch or dinner options, but the lack of helpfulness from the staff sealed the deal for me. Place is really cute. Wished it had better (seasoned) food and service.

I ordered a trio of tacos for lunch: +Crispy shrimp - flavorful shrimp accompanied by pickled cabbage, salsa verde, and cilantro. Instant favorite! +Korean beef - slamming! +Chicken tinga - overcooked chicken. Ugh! The tacos were tiny and wouldn't have cut it if I had been starving. There were a couple of available seats inside, so I chose to eat my lunch indoors. Outdoor seating is available; however, it was way too hot to sit outside and the umbrellas that were perched above the tables did not provide cover from the blazing sun. I'd eat here again if I was in the neighborhood and in the mood for tacos. I'd skip the chicken tinga next time.

Honestly, this place is pretty solid. Their prices are pretty right, and the food tastes pretty good. I came in today and ordered an adobo chicken burrito. I'm not going to lie, it slaps. The chicken is really flavorful. The portion size is amazing. Even though I didn't get beans, I got extra rice. The rice isn't overly seasoned, but it has enough flavor that it compliments the chicken. This tastes so much better than what you're going to get from aChipotle. Much more authentic, and dare I say more fresh? I also ordered elote. Not going to lie, it was a little underwhelming. I'm used to really heavily covered corn with flavor. This left me a little unsatisfied. However, the burrito more than made up for it. The corn was five dollars. The burrito was 10, plus roughly 3 dollars for guacamole. I also added extra cheese for like $1. Of course, I also picked up a Mexican Coke. That was three dollars. The ambience inside is very casual. You grab your food to go, or you order and sit at one of the few tables inside and eat. There doesn't appear to be a bar or any liquor. But again, it's a pretty quick moving place. The service was fine. I asked the cashier a few questions and for a few recommendations and she gave them to me. She wasn't overly outgoing, but she was polite and nice, and when the food is good, I don't need you to do too much. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.

Been here a few times and it's a good place for something quick and tasty. There's is an amount of variety for tacos and burritos. I prefer the chicken adobo burrito with the medium spicy sauce. There's not much seating inside but the outdoor seatings are great. Service is regular for what it is.

I've only ever ordered delivery from here, but we love all the food we've tried! My favorites are their tortas, shrimp tacos, plantains, chips and queso, and shrimp quesadillas!

Stopped in to try their Taco Tuesday deal and have been a fan of it since! The inside of the restaurant is cute and casual, and they have decent outdoor seating too. Although the tacos are prepared quickly even when they're busy, I recommend ordering online in advance if you don't like waiting at all. They only include 3 of their tacos in the $2.50/ Taco Tuesday deal-- usually the Al Pastor, Adobo Chicken, and Tofu. However, I've also tried some of their other tacos at regular price. The Al Pastor and Baja Fish Tacos are my favorite here. They were both flavorful and could be eaten without salsa. The Fried Tofu taco is surprisingly good and balanced-- the taco is flavorful and doesn't require salsa, and tofu is fried nicely. The Korean Barbecue taco is also good, flavorful, and balanced, and it doesn't need salsa. The Carnitas taco was good and flavorful but I like my carnitas to be a little crispier or for the taco to have a crispy textural component. The Adobo Chicken taco was flavorful but the chicken was a little dry and definitely needed salsa. The Steak taco was good but also needed salsa because it was on the dry side.

This was a great causal spot for tacos and burritos. They have ab extensive list of proteins. I tried the chicken burrito and it was honestly the most flavorful burrito I have had in a while. The one ding is that the ingredients weren't evenly distributed so I didn't get chicken until the bottom of the burrito. Overall, the service was fast and they had plenty of seating options especially on a Saturday afternoon.

They did a catering order for me and my nurses loved every bit of it. I ordered 15 steak and egg 10 refried beans and egg 15 fried chicken and egg 10 bacon and egg Not a single taco was left. I then came back for lunch and ordered the crispy shrimp taco, Korean beef & chorizo taco. All INSANELY GOOD! I just moved from Texas so I've been craving a taco shop and this will be my go to!

For $17 I got a bowl of lettuce and beans. The amount of fish was ridiculous. There was basically no protein on the bowl.

Date Night Done RIGHT!…read more D'Lena was such a pleasant surprise. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed by the exterior, but once we stepped inside, the ambiance completely sold me. The restaurant is grown, classy, sophisticated, and sexy without trying too hard, exactly the kind of atmosphere you want for a good date night in DC. And the service deserves its own paragraph! From the hostess to our waitress, the bus staff, and the manager, EVERYONE was attentive. What really stood out to me was how observant the staff was. They seemed to actually pay attention to customers' body language and anticipate what was needed. If one team member couldn't get to something quickly, another person stepped in. That kind of teamwork makes a huge difference because you never feel forgotten or left waiting unnecessarily. The manager was especially personable. While we were waiting for our food, she came over and actually chatted with us for about 5-10 minutes. Not the typical quick "How is everything?" check-in she genuinely engaged with us. That made the experience feel very personal. Now...the presentation of the tomahawk steak was EVERYTHING! If you order it, just know it is a LOT of food. It's easily enough for more than two people, so come hungry or bring people who are ready to eat! We enjoyed several things throughout the meal and loved the overall experience. My appetizer personally wasn't my favorite, but that's more about my own taste than the food itself. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of cheese, and this particular dish had more cheese than I prefer. If you're a cheese lover, though, this is probably right up your alley. And then there's the downstairs lounge! I absolutely loved that you can essentially have two different experiences under one roof. After dinner, heading downstairs for the jazz performance was the perfect way to continue the night. The music had a really nice Latin influence, which made the whole vibe even better. There is a separate bar downstairs, so one thing to know is that the drinks offered downstairs are different from the cocktail experience upstairs. Also, the lounge space is limited, so I'd recommend making a reservation/RSVP or getting there early if you want to secure a spot. Overall, D'Lena gave us exactly what we were looking for: good food, beautiful surroundings, exceptional service, and an atmosphere that felt mature, elevated, and fun. Being able to have dinner AND transition into live music without leaving the restaurant made it an even better date-night experience. Definitely a 5-star experience for me, and I would absolutely go back.

Located at the corner of 14th NW and Meridian Place NW, you climb a flight of stairs to a very simply decorated eatery. It's notable that Chicatana is one of the few truly Mexican restaurants in the DMV; it's not Tex-Mex and it's not Salvadorean masquerading as Mexican. Service was mostly great, though we waited a while at the end to get our check. But I should mention water refills were outstanding, actually the best I've ever come across in a restaurant. For appetizers, we went with the Aguachiles and the Queso Fundido. Served with especially good tortilla chips, the Aguachiles were shrimp resting in a light fresh broth and topped with thinly sliced cucumber and red onion. The others at my table wished the dish was spicier, but I liked them exactly the way they were. The Queso Fundido was just okay. The chorizo in it had a sour flavor. Chicatana provided me with my first experience with watercress and watermelon radish. I ordered the Pescado Zarandeado (rockfish) that came with a guajillo chile adobo rub and was topped with lightly wilted watercress and slices of watermelon radish. The rockfish was disappointing. It wasn't as fresh as it should've been. And despite the adobo rub, the fish lacked flavor and was kinda dry. And I just don't know about including the watercress and watermelon radish in the dish because they didn't add any flavor. On the other hand, our friend loved his Tlayuda. Tlayuda is a massive pizza-sized tortilla topped with refried black beans, carne asada, watercress, watermelon radish and cabbage. I sampled the carne asada and it was delicious. JP ordered lamb, lengua (tongue) and octopus tacos. All three were excellent.

We arrived on time and was greeted by the hostess and opted to sit outside since the upstairs was closed. The lime and mango combination swirl was delicious...we ordered a pitcher and it was plenty for us 3 gals. The seafood quesadillas was seasoned very well. When she first said the name, I actually thought it was a some short of shopping plaza and never would have associated it as a Mexican restaurant. I'm not sure it's history, but seems like a staple in the neighborhood as every time I drive by since that conversation with her, I notice how packed and busy it is. I recommended to my friends who were in town that we check it out and we were able to get seated outside relatively quickly for a Saturday evening. Our table started with their drinks. Half of us got the pina colada and the other half had the margarita swirl. I'd say the pina coloda was pretty good; not too strong and the ones who ordered the margarita seemed to enjoy it. We all had eaten before arriving, so we didn't order too much. They also served complimentary tortilla chips with salsa so that was pretty good and gave us something to nibble on. I ended up getting the shrimp tacos and their tortilla soup. The shrimp tacos were good, but the tortilla soup was the highlight for me. It was very flavorful, and full of vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and corn. It also had shredded chicken and cheese in it, and was so delicious. I would definitely order it again. Our server was also very friendly and regularly checked in on us. The reason for one star off is just due to the cleanliness of the cups and plates on our table. I noticed food residue still on it, and although I personally didn't use the cup or plate, I didn't care to see it on the table.
