Coming back from a weekend golf trip in Angels Camp, the 6 of us decided to swing into Copperopolis for breakfast. This place was new to us and not the same establishment where we ate last time. I know this is a Mexican restaurant, and it has pretty good reviews, so perhaps we all should have had Mexican breakfast. This is review is for American breakfast: bacon, eggs, toast, and hash browns. Bottom line? Don't do it!!!! The hash browns? I have never seen anything so thin and skimpy in my life. The eggs were small and a tad over-cooked. The sourdough toast? It was okay, it it WAS sourdough. And the bacon? The bacon served was not cooked that morning. The 3 pieces were cold, hard, and greasy. I guessed the bacon was cooked the day before. This review only gets any stars because the server was nice. If I come back, I will try the Mexican food. read more

The chili Verde burrito and steak burritos were excellent. The Elote was some of the best I've ever seen with so much cheese! Service was extremely friendly and prompt, and it has a nice setting outdoors where you can sit in the shade with your dog. read more

Our family (12 of us total plus our puppy) decided to stop for breakfast on our way home from Angels Camp. So glad we did! They have only been open 4 months and add a breath of fraisg air to the town square. Our waiter was very friendly, food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. The mango margaritas are great. It's very clean. The bean dip and chips are three dollars and are delicious. They have multiple TVs and plenty of seating. Give this place a try. Then they brought out a delicious birthday dessert. read more

Had their fajita burrito, it was stuffed full and filling. Service was ok and the ambiance isn't really applicable as I was working with a community organization and they had a space outside the business for service during one of the outdoor concerts. The food in Copper town square hasn't been anything to rave about so I was pleasantly surprised and happy for the quality and value I got. Modern, casual atmosphere in this beautifully designed eatery. Complete with booths, tables, bar and outside seating. Service was spot on! The breakfast menu food is fresh & delicious. I ate at this restaurant a few weeks ago. It was really a great experience. My wife had the eggs, beans and rice and coffee. She said the coffee was amazing as it was brewed with cinnamon. I had the chilaquillas with a fried egg on top and it was incredible. The next time I am on my way to Columbia, I will definitely stop to eat here again. We ordered a carnitas plate and a burrito to go. The carne asada burrito was good and huge as you would expect. The carnitas plate however was a disappointment. It came in a small compartment container with no more than 3 tablespoons of rice and beans in each little section of the container. Excellent restaurant and outstanding service! We drove early in the morning and this was the perfect place to have breakfast before we had to get on the road again. I had the classic breakfast with fruit, eggs, and bacon, and my friend had the vegetarian burrito. Plenty of food and it was all delicious. And the prices were incredibly reasonable. Our server, Lluvia, was so friendly, personable, and professional. We will definitely go back again. A+ food and service! read more

What an amazing restaurant we stumbled upon on the drive home from camping. The inside of the restaurant is immaculate with a beautiful bar and big screen tv, a TouchTunes and large dining area. We ate outside because we had our dog with us. The chile verde was awesome. My youngest got giant pancakes and the chilaquiles were delicious also. The guacamole was really really good. I highly recommend stopping by. There are also drink and food specials and they have a great tap selection. We will definitely be back. read more

One of our guilty pleasures, now that we are retired, we like to try out new restaurants. Bandit's is in a beautiful location in Copperopolis with outdoor seating with a casual atmosphere. Our server was friendly and the prices were reasonable. The carnitas burrito was the best I've had in a very long time! I recommend the carnitas burrito and the margaritas. The De La Torre Brothers have done it again! What a fantastic improvement over the previous establishment. If you're going for brunch, definitely try the chili verde with over easy eggs and a Bloody Mary or Bloody Maria. Our first time coming here for breakfast and food wasn't good at all. We drove an hour away to try. We were excited to come, given by the good reviews. When we walked in, there was no one inside which kinda caught us by surprise.. Staff is friendly but food is very mid. I got the chilaquiles. There was no green sauce. Everything on menu was ala carte, no combinations, no chips & salsa offered while waiting for food and drinks, charged us an extra Blackberry margarita and never brought the waters we ordered at the very beginning. The restaurant was freezing and the waiter just as cold and hard to understand the menu. I ordered an extra large order of rice & refried beans to fill the dinner plates for 4 hungry adults and was given a small plate with a scoop of each for everyone to share. Food and cocktails were just ok, just not enough for dinner and price was same as anywhere else locally. Go next door, pay about the same but leave with full tummy and satified.
