The Ham Ranch sandwich had tomatoes & with avocado spread very moist & delicious The OatMeal & raisin cookies was thick & moist, my wife enjoyed it I had a nice bite. The Mapplethorpe donut hit the spot, service was amazing, the line just never stopped, people watching is always fun. Got our coffee refilled & went & sat outside to pet some dogs. Who is next? Waited an eternity for them to make a mocha and a chai... neither tasted good at all and could not tell the difference when trying to figure out which one was which. Both tasted bland and way overpriced considering half the cup was just foam. Rude, inattentive, unpleasant staff and extremely long wait times for drinks or food made for a regretful experience and will never go back again. Had also ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches to go with the 2 drinks and after a 30 minute wait they only produced 1 of the breakfast sandwiches and took another 20 minutes to go back through their iPad to prove I did infact order and pay for 2 of them. Tiny sandwiches were overpriced and disappointing as well after the hour long stress fest it took to obtain them. They were not freshly made, microwaved BS with the smallest excuse for a piece of bacon on each of them. Wasting $30 bucks plus an hour of my life on 2 lousy coffees and 2 very mid breakfast sammys put a huge damper on the rest of the day for my friend and I. My guess is lousy owners equals lousy employees. Zero stars. read more

Seems my luck for bakeries and coffee spots hasn't been great so far driving from Depoe Bay to Bandon (8/28/24). I was about to jump back onto 101North when Bandon Coffee Cafe caught my eye. It was 130pm with a posted sign of closing early at 2pm versus the usual 4pm. I asked the counter person whether I can still get a lunch sandwich. Thankfully, yes there was still time and availability. Took the opportunity also as a chance to use the bathroom - which was very clean. Interior with local art, merch for purchase, and push pin board of where customer's were visiting from. Indoor & outdoor seating were also available. I chose a spot by the screened window with a comfortable breeze. I ate my Herby Turkey Sandwich with potato salad instead of chips ($10). Loved that it was toasted and generously made. Easily this could be nearly $20 plus tax & tip back in Seattle. Yes, I devoured it and it was delicious! Decent selection of menu items with sandwiches, bagels, baked goods, and beverages. I took the 20oz Coastal Mocha ($4.75, made with dark chocolate) and the cranberry orange $2.50 to go. Again, comparable prices in Seattle would have been $8 & $4, respectively. Spot on mocha that sustained me driving back north to Depoe Bay. That cookie was chomped well before I got to Newport, lol. Great menu items & welcoming service. I have been going here for years when I visit Bandon. Today's visit was disappointing. Food quality was not as good as before and they were out of everything. I guess this was because they were closing early for an employee appreciation lunch so maybe they didn't make their usual stuff. My friend got a sandwich which she described as stale bread. Visiting Bandon decided to check this place after finding it on Yelp. We went in to order sandwiches and coffee. Walked up to the counter, where a barista and cashier work. The cashier was absent , we stood at the counter. Disappointing that the barista didn't alert the cashier who was actually on the floor under the counter nor did she stay "we will be with you in a moment." The cashier finally popped up to The floor and began taking our order. No greeting, sorry for making you wait. Midway thru our order she begins talking with the window cleaner who walked up to report what he was doing She never said, excuse me while I handle this. We ordered veggie sandwiches. I ordered a half and wish I had ordered a whole sandwich because only a half is tiny. The sandwich was delicious but based on the customer service I will bypass this business. The ice coffee was okay, nothing special. Will not be my go to when I visit Bandon. read more

Loved this little place! Very friendly staff! And the ambiance was very cool / all local art work. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and lattes a they were amazing! My sandwich was the Rise and Shine on the cheddar ciabatta and my husband got the bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin. Both were served hot and fresh! And the prices were good. I was passing through town and needed a quick breakfast and strong coffee. Even though it was off-season, a grey, cold morning, this place was packed. Full of a wide variety of pleasant local people, enjoying a leisurely morning together. So far, so good. The place itself is charming, atmosphere is good, lots of seating both inside and out. I just wish I had enjoyed the food. I ordered two egg-and-cheese english muffin sandwiches. The muffins weren't toasted and the cheese was bland, so they didn't really have much of a flavor. Could barely get through them. Maybe it was just bad luck. I'd be willing to try again or just go for the coffee and conversation. read more

Hey! This was a sweet spot walking distance from the Bandon Marina Inn (in the back). Great coffee, great Chai and great jalepeno bagel breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommend and before you leave. I ordered a dozen plus cookies for an event, and while I was paying for them, the cashier named a type of cookie that I did not order and when I let her know that she said that all of the cookies cost the same and the cookies I ordered are in the box. Well, they gave me the wrong type of cookies, I ordered oatmeal/peanut butter and received oatmeal raisin. Cookies tasted good, but not happy with the mix up. I won't be pre-ordering again. We were in Bandon on vacation and we visited this coffee establishment five times in seven days, we kept coming back because the coffee is great (when they listen correctly, take the order correctly, and equally make the coffee correctly.). The cookies are awesome, however, their attitude and service is appalling. Every time we spoke to a server there, their response was if we were an inconvenience to their day. On our last visit, we waited almost 40 minutes for two coffees and a bagel. One of the servers placed three coffees on the counter, the customer inquired which coffee was which, and the server looked at them with distaste, and it was a problem for her to explain which drink was which. I'm also perfectly fine with adding a tip, but a forced 15% gratuity that is added to the bill before you even receive your total is a little absurd and is assuming the service is worth 15%. In this case it is not. Ambience is average. read more

The girl at the register was very nice but the girl making the coffee in the back was not happy that the girl at the register kept asking her whether or not they had things. Basically everything I wanted to order they were out of. They didn't start serving soup until 11 but it was 11:20 and they were out. When I kept changing my order to accommodate for what they did have, they didn't have it and it just kept making the girl in the back more and more upset when the girl at the register kept asking her so I just stuck to a mango smoothie. read more

I ordered a oat milk vanilla latte iced and it was great! They had plenty of options for pastry's/cookies. I went around 6am each day so it was pretty dead but I have heard lines can get long. Blueberry bagel was good too! Nice little quaint coffee shop. read more

I don't know what's going on with what used to be a friendly place to have a nice little lunch or a lox bagel for breakfast. I have been meeting a friend here almost every month literally for years or enjoying a generous portion of gorgeous lox with a pumped up amount of cream cheese for a light weekend breakfast with my husband. Not any more: my cranberry half sandwich was pathetic - dry bread, barely a hint of cream cheese and two sad little pieces of turkey, with a green salad* the young woman at the counter was confused about being available** much less what to charge. $9 for a poor excuse of what used to be a fresh beautiful generous half sandwich and green salad. I requested no tomato on my food (I'm allergic) yet there was a slice on my sad half sandwich. My friend's Yonkers lox on an everything bagel looked awful: again, barely any cream cheese with a stingy portion of pale salmon. Tomato and cucumber omitted by request. No cspers, no onion. This was her second choice as the employee interrupted her to state the gravy for an order of biscuits and gravy wasn't available after 11 am. I don't know if her pumpkin spice latte was good or not. The employee seemed to be the only one there; she wasn't particularly friendly or helpful. Needless to say, we won't be going back. The food was mediocre and overpriced: $26.50 for a bagel with lox, 16 oz latte and a sad dry stingy half sandwich with a nice green salad. We would have had no complaints if the food had been good and the employee friendly and knowledgeable. In her defense, if the owner doesn't educate her staff, they can't provide good service. I have also found that employees who don't engage are not happy employees. We stopped by this coffee shop in order to get some lattes, while we were driving on the Oregon coast. First and foremost I must say that the service is good and the employee was very friendly. Unfortunately, the latte she prepared for my friend and I had overheated milk that left curdles which altered the taste and left a burning tinge. We were not able to finish the drinks let alone drink even a quarter of the cups. It was also not prepared properly as the employee had poured in the milk first, and then the espresso after, which caused the layering to be mediocre. Prompting me to write this review is the very uncomfortable service I received. My family and I ordered a small drip coffee, americano, and a black eye. We also ordered some pastries. The drinks with espresso were burnt and unpalatable. Pastries were yummy. And initial service was friendly. My drip coffee was forgotten, so I stood back in line (because they were busy and I didn't want to interrupt the baristas), and I said "hi, I'm just waiting for my 12 oz drip coffee, we received everything else". The person at the register didn't say anything, she just smiled at me for a couple seconds, turned around to the drip coffee and filled me my cup. When she gives it to me, she says "sorry I just haven't seen you all morning". I didn't know what to say because I was right next to my husband when we ordered. I said "it was with my husband's order", and she replied with a smile "have a nice day". We were there a while and she wasn't the person we ordered from so maybe she hasn't seen me all morning, but that interaction was so weird and creepy. I wanted to just leave as fast as possible. Anyways, the drip coffee was good but we will not be returning if we're ever in Bandon again. read more

This is always my last stop out of town when I visit. The lighthouse coffee is by far my favorite. They also serve light food and the wait time isn't terrible. They also have local art for sale on the wall and it's a nice touch for a small town vibe read more

This small cozy coffee shop is right outside of the port. We stopped by and get some coffee and their famous cookies. I ordered the beachcomber mocha and a monster cookie. The cookie was a gluten free, and it seemed to be made with oak and peanut butter M&M's. It was very flavorful. I wanted another one after I finished the first one! The coffee was tasty, and not sour, which is my biggest concern! It was very nice and cozy to have a cup of hot coffee in a cold/windy weather. Cashier was friendly, and he personally delivered my coffee to where I was seating! Thank you. I will come back again. read more

Coffee is OK, but be aware that at exactly 3:45, "the kitchen is closed". No exceptions! We asked for a bagel with cream cheese and because it was 3:47 and whoever was behind the counter told us in a very authoritative way that since the kitchen was "closed", they weren't able to toast it or put on the cream cheese (we had to do that ourselves). On the bright side, the espresso drinks were ok. Also on the bright side, the phrase "the kitchen is closed" became our inside joke for the remainder of our trip. Good times! read more

Ordered a Chai & Mocha both made to order & extra hot in addition to an Orange cookie i shared with the Bestie and have to admit it was the best and at some point I'd like to recreate. What a great way to start the morning! Stopped by here for some coffee and breakfast. Inside is spacious and warming. Staff is very kind and helpful. Got here at 9:30am on a Sunday. They had a line to the door but it went quick. Ordered two vanilla latte's, a lighthouse, and an iced tea for the drinks. Great drinks! The ham&ranch breakfast sandwich was amazing. We also got the breakfast cookie and the peanut butter oatmeal cookie. So good! The place was packed with people but we got lucky and found a table. There was a line when I arrived of about 5-7 people. It took 30+ minutes to get to the front. I over heard the woman at the register tell people it was her first day. She couldn't work the computer/find anything and had to keep asking people in back to come help. She couldn't remember ANY part of someone's order. She would ring them up then proceed to ask what they ordered one by one as she got it. This person should never have been left alone at the register on her first day. She was clearly stressed and doing her best and had no support. By the time I got to the counter I ordered a black coffee and cookie. I then had to remind her what cookie I ordered and that I ordered a coffee. There was no apology for the wait and I found our interaction to be curt. The coffee was luke warm and I lost 30+ minutes of my time. Please provide better training and fresh, hot coffee. read more
