    The quitter counter!!!
    Jessica B.

This was my first time visiting a haunted house and let me tell you it was INSANE!!-good insane. ***DISCLAIMER*** they WILL touch you and say some things that can be mean but it's all in good scary fun so don't be scared! Okay so boom-I'm waiting on line with my little brother (little dude is 12 and tackled this place!) and we notice there's an active counter that shows you how many "quitters" there have been so far in the year AND that night. When I got there it was at 26. It soon went up to 32 which kind of got us all anticipating what's really behind those doors? We also heard people screaming, so needless to say I was PUMPED but also scared. Once we got to the front we were asked a few questions and went over some rules, they are VERY strict about their rules guys so pay attention and follow them! Once inside...boyyyyy. I don't want to ruin it for you but just know that if jump scares get you easily, then RIP you. The acting? Phenomenal. The scares? Outstanding. The length of it all? Perfect. I would recommend this attraction 100 times over. Go get your spooky on guys!

The anticipation while on line kept building and building with every distant scream we heard. Then as we were approaching the fri t of the line we got to see all the quiters ( scarred people that wanted out by calling out the safe word). Once inside most of the maze was in pure darkness. So the unknown was lurking right in front of us, following us, props were everywhere. You had to crawl, slide, climb over, then directed to spinning action, lineup against a wall, placed in confined areas, pressed against a wall, I'm telling you we had fun!!! Nothing like we expected, it was so unexpected that we were telling all our friends they must try it. I was glad I made it through, with some much creepy props I hate felt so real in the dark. Four start was for not having crowd participation while on line. At this point turning off the lights would be ideal. Some grossly mummies walking through the lines would have entertained us. I would come back next year !

As a huge fan of Haunted Attractions, I decided to give it a try. So a lady friend and I arrived at just 9:00 pm (place wasn't too busy on (10/5/18). After being wanned with A Metal Detector (security is appreciated!), into the building we go! At the time of arriving 37 people had already quit the attraction after starting! So, when their website says you will be touched and separated from your group, they mean it. Separations can happen multiple times and at any moment. It will get pitch black at moments. You will be asked to do slightly embarrassing things lol! If your claustrophobic, beware, especially during the last scare of the night! Took about 40 minutes to complete. Although I consider myself a well traveled haunted attraction enthusiast, there were some twist and firsts that made this worth it. For $5 we took an instant picture and had a video taken of us by very nice employee. Parking is plenty full, so stop reading my review and go already! P.S more reviews of haunted attractions in the tri state area to come!

Just got done with the Bane Haunted House attraction! It was awesome and by far different than all haunted houses i have ever been to! My knees were still shaking after we were done with the entire course! I do not want to spoil your fun so therefore I will refrain from being descriptive about what goes on inside! I will say this, it felt like we were inside for a very long time! We bought tickets, through the website (about $25 per person). We got there at about 8:20 p.m., got my mobile ticket scanned, waited on the line for about 10 more minutes and we were on our way inside! You are asked to empty your pockets before a guy scans you with a hand-held metal detector! After that you are let inside yet another waiting area where we waited for about another 20 minutes before walking into the actual attraction! Everything is very well organized outside as far as the lines! There were multiple lines just follow the signs, I do recommend you buy your tickets online and either print them out or have the mobile ticket ready on your phone and walk right up to the front where you will see an attendant scanning mobile/printed tickets! On that note I think the line organization was great! And the attraction itself was awesome! There is an on-site kiosk were you can buy your tickets too! I saw a tent where they were selling some goodies and beverages as well, did not try em out! If you have never been here, GO! And go now!

Hands down..Bane is NO JOKE!! I've been to other Haunted Houses in the city, but this one..was intense. The security guard told my friend, "See..you..I bet you will be screaming like a girl. In fact..do you hear those screams in the background..those are men!" LOL The whole event lasted for about 15-20 minutes. It had included crazy looking clowns..scary nuns..monsters..they had me climbing over a bed..crawling in a morgue..I was pushed into a standing coffin (that they kept spinning around) and even pushed down a deep and dark slide with a surprise at the bottom. We met Skeery Jones (Z100 radio station) outside before the event who said we should not take this event lightly. He was right!! Oh yeah...if you get scared and yell MERCY..the staff will escort you outside with no refund. We did see people (who got too scared and didn't finish) get picked on by Security guards (who had shined flashlights on them) and got laughed at by people waiting in line. One teenager (full of tears)..well she ran out (30 seconds) after entering through the dark doors.  This event is worth the money. We didn't need to pay for VIP since we had selected the 7pm slot last Friday.

How many people can enter in one group?

You can wait on line with a group of 20 people , the moment you get upstairs and in front of the door they either send you in alone, in 2s or 3s. The group cannot be no bigger than 3 walking through the house. Sorry lol expect to be separated once… Read more

No, though I don't believe most restaurants offer that.

I'm confused by the website. Does purchasing the General admission ticket online allow you to skip the line outside?

There was no wait and no preambling long speech about rules and such, which I appreciated. Since my friend dropped out last minute, I went alone and had a really fantastic time. If you can go alone, it's wonderful and only increases the tension and heightened surprise around every corner. I've been to many haunted houses and find most of them rather unimpressive or generally not scary at all, but this one managed to get my heart rate up *and* got at least a few jump scares out of me, especially in the first half. It was overall a great thrill ride, especially going in alone, and I really enjoyed the immersion, the commitment of the actors and the detailed, colorful set designs and cool animatronics. There were times I wanted to walk even slower to really take everything in and enjoy it. I spent most of the time laughing with glee and saying to myself "THIS IS DOPE." While the 3D glasses section didn't do much for me (maybe it's just my eyesight, but the effects here looked a bit blurry and not very three-dimensional), that's a minor critique. This haunt is also quite expensive, but in my opinion worth it if you love these kind of immersive experiences, especially of the scary variety. Bonus points for the friendly staff letting me switch my time slot from 7 pm to 11:30 after my friend dropped out with no issue or fuss.

I loved the enthusiasm from all the actors. They were awesome. It was two floors of spooky fun, and tons of jump scares. The 3D Sections was so sick. Loved It! It took about 20min total, which I'm totally fine with. When we got there (Halloween Night), they were running behind which is to be expected. The staff said about 15-20min and took about 20min. You can buy RIP (VIP) tickets to jump the line, but honestly, it went by pretty quick. I think the bad reviews on here are maybe people that shouldn't have gone in the first place. For the caliber of staff and production, it seemed a reasonable price. If you've ever gone to Halloween Horror Nights or the like, this seemed totally on par with those scary events. Loved it and can't wait until next year!

Re: Blackout. I highly recommend it to EVERYONE…read more I didn't know a lot about Blackout other than what I saw in glimpses on social media over the past few years. I've always loved haunts but I couldn't bring myself to do them anymore. I've been raped and sexually assaulted and the idea of people jumping at me or grabbing me scared the hell out of me. It's not something I thought about, but as someone whose love language is physical touch, it's something I needed to reclaim. I was so proud of my partner for going through with it and the way he described it, I knew I had to go. I bought my ticket yesterday and the anticipation killed me in the best way possible. When I arrived, I checked in with Faith upfront -- she IMMEDIATELY made me feel safe and was such a joy to talk to. And Kris -- I appreciate him so, so much. I knew the questions I was going to be asked before going in so I knew I needed to be honest about my anxiety. I just started taking medication again and although I feel significantly better, I know when I'm off or triggered. His check in was SO reassuring and he instilled that confidence in me that I could do this and be honest with myself if I needed to stop. The actors were everything. I knew I was in safe hands the entire time. Their generosity of vulnerability and control and their ability to read my body and what I needed in the moment was incredible. I was terrified and amused and happy among a shit ton of other feelings, and ultimately, I knew I was safe. And FUCK it felt so, SO good to scream. I'm very grateful for what this experience provided for me. I know I have a lot of healing to do when it comes to trust and understanding physical touch in different types of relationships, but this experience proved to me that it's something I don't have to be afraid of, it is something I need and I can embrace, and if I'm ever afraid, I'm in control. It also made me SO excited for rewrites on my musical, MAXA. My ultimate goal for the piece is to make it accessible to survivors like myself and leave the ending in a way that may not be satisfying for everyone, but at the very least, cathartic. I felt so much relief and dread when I finished it because I was deep in the pits of my depression at the time. Blackout inspired the hell out of me and I can't wait to dive back in. To their company, thank you for everything. I didn't know that this was something I needed and I'm so grateful for the experience. If you're curious about it, I couldn't recommend it more. Go, go, go before they close.

I had high hopes of being scared but I was mostly just freaked out and uncomfortable. I don't want to spoil it for some with too much detail, but the plastic bag over your entire body was more of a panic moment than anything. I really felt like I couldn't breathe for a moment, which yes I guess is scary but not in the way that most want to be scared. My boyfriend and I left feeling kinda gross and swindled. It's so expensive and just for all that, no thanks.

They try to scare you, but will direct you through the haunted house. Visibility can be a little tricky in some areas of the houses. The house has several exits, in case you've "just had enough".
