However for what I did see, Bane knocked it out of the water. The actors were top notch and really played up their characters. The environment was crazy immersive and scary. We watched the Mercy TV count rise as we stood in line and it totally freaked us all out. Once inside, we can hear people screaming from the rooms next to us and it was a cool feeling all around. I'm suped to come back next year and check out Bane with full lighting and I'm excited about their events to come. Oh and yes, people actually get to the front door and yell Mercy, two of my friends chickened out before they even opened the door for us to go in! Good scary job Bane!

We purchased our tickets online in advance, and got to the site pretty easily. We got on line and read the posted rules before walking into the attraction. The attraction itself is pretty creative, with a few things I haven't seen in other haunted houses. But the quitter counter, which displayed the number of guests who quit in fear, made it seem scarier than it actually was. It was honestly a bit too dark in there to see the costumes/makeup of the actors. The majority of the scares were jump scares.

I went on the very last night of the final season showing (save for the special Lights Out event)…read moreand at the 11:30 PM time slot. There was no wait and no preambling long speech about rules and such, which I appreciated. Since my friend dropped out last minute, I went alone and had a really fantastic time. If you can go alone, it's wonderful and only increases the tension and heightened surprise around every corner. I've been to many haunted houses and find most of them rather unimpressive or generally not scary at all, but this one managed to get my heart rate up *and* got at least a few jump scares out of me, especially in the first half. It was overall a great thrill ride, especially going in alone, and I really enjoyed the immersion, the commitment of the actors and the detailed, colorful set designs and cool animatronics. There were times I wanted to walk even slower to really take everything in and enjoy it. I spent most of the time laughing with glee and saying to myself "THIS IS DOPE." While the 3D glasses section didn't do much for me (maybe it's just my eyesight, but the effects here looked a bit blurry and not very three-dimensional), that's a minor critique. This haunt is also quite expensive, but in my opinion worth it if you love these kind of immersive experiences, especially of the scary variety. Bonus points for the friendly staff letting me switch my time slot from 7 pm to 11:30 after my friend dropped out with no issue or fuss.

I loved the enthusiasm from all the actors. They were awesome. It was two floors of spooky fun, and tons of jump scares. The 3D Sections was so sick. Loved It! It took about 20min total, which I'm totally fine with. When we got there (Halloween Night), they were running behind which is to be expected. The staff said about 15-20min and took about 20min. You can buy RIP (VIP) tickets to jump the line, but honestly, it went by pretty quick. I think the bad reviews on here are maybe people that shouldn't have gone in the first place. For the caliber of staff and production, it seemed a reasonable price. If you've ever gone to Halloween Horror Nights or the like, this seemed totally on par with those scary events. Loved it and can't wait until next year!

You can either purchase tickets online or right at the place. The basic tickets were $60 each. However, the closer you get to Halloween, the ticket prices go up. Upon entry to the Brighton Asylum, there are several people outside, directing you to parking. We went through 3 very cool and fun haunted houses. Actors are dressed in scary costumes. They try to scare you, but will direct you through the haunted house. Visibility can be a little tricky in some areas of the houses. The house has several exits, in case you've "just had enough". It took approximately 1 1/2 hours for the entire visit. Just some cautions for those who have any type of limitations. In one house, there's at least two tunnels you really have to "bend over" and walk through at least 10 to 12 steps. In another house, there's at least three long flights of steps to climb up and down. The facility does have some extras like ax throwing and an escape room which will cost extra money. Definitely recommend the Brighton Asylum for a fun evening! The Brighton Asylum is located at 2 Brighton Rd. off of Van Houten Ave. in the back area. A gift shop is available with Brighton Asylum Tee Shirts. Porta John's are available on the premises.

I recommend getting the fast pass because the wait can be long especially closer to Halloween. They also had a Horror film museum with replicas of the outfits worn in the movies. We saw many younger children that also spent time at the small baby lambs and goats petting zoo. This was a nice added touch. The DJ was also great that played upbeat music. The food was reasonable and a good mix of favorites. Funnel cake, fried Oreos, chili, chili cheese fries, street corn, empanadas and street tacos to just name a few.... Truly a night of good times... So I took a trip down to the Field of Terror... located in the middle of nowhere in East Windsor, NJ. There isn't an actual parking lot- you're going to have to park your car in the middle of a field, but there are parking attendants to guide you. And yes, it's free! Luckily the lot is right near the farm so don't worry about walking too far. You can purchase your tickets online or once you get there. I came on a Thursday night 10/24 and there were no lines at all. There's a couple of ticket options depending on how many haunted attractions you want to do. There are 5 in total: Haunted Hayride, Kornfield Maze, Karnival, Timmery Manor, Paintball Wagon Ride. One attraction = $20 Two attractions = $35 Three attractions = $45 Four attractions = $50 Five attractions = $65 We didn't have much time so we only did one attraction, the Haunted Hayride. There was no wait at all, so we were able to get on right away. The entire attraction lasted about 15 minutes. I don't want to spoil anything.... but it was enjoyable. However, coming from someone who is the biggest scaredy cat, I wasn't SUPER spooked... so see for yourself. The farm itself is small and easy to navigate. All of the attractions are close to one another. There were actors walking around and I definitely got a couple of jump scares LOL. They have food stands available at very reasonable prices (mostly carnival/fair-themed food like burgers, fries, funnel cake, hot dogs). Plenty of seating to enjoy your food. There's a merchandise store with cute apparel and goodies. They also have a farmer's market selling some of their produce. Since I only did one haunted attraction, take this review with a grain of salt. Was it worth $20? Ehhhh, not really. But give it a try if you're in the area and see for yourself. Get spooky.
