Wifey found this place whilst we were in the midst of undecidedness for lunch. We hadn't looked what's in new west in awhile and when we saw this.. we were like hmm I don't remember this place. So here we are trying it. Walking in it is a small quaint establishment with maybe 10 tables mixed between 4 and 2tops. The front counter is in the back with baked goods displayed on the counter and on the wall beside it. We were told by the owners that everything is baked fresh in house and they start at 3am! We were seated and perused the menu. The menu had very vibrant pictures of their dishes and the variety is decent. Wifey opted for their French toast and I order their chicken sandwich. The sandwiches have an option to pay an additional fee for 1 of 3 options opt. 1 pop 1$ opt.2 for coffee2$ and opt.3 for soup.3$ I got the soup which was ground meat and broccoli. I also ordered coffee & wifey got a mocha latte. The food came and the presentation is absolutely stunning. Looking delicious and after tasting WAS delicious. The bread for my chicken sandwich was so soft and fluffy confirming the baked fresh daily claim and was heavenly. The chicken was plentiful and super moist! The sauces delicately creamy and sweet harmonizing with the addition of carrots and arugula veg. The texture of the overall bite was very good and as stated before tasted delicious. The French toast was super thick topped with fruit and vanilla ice cream. I had a couple tasted bites and found it nice and balanced. There were also roasted pears to accompany with the fresh fruits too. The owners/ servers were very pleasant and helpful when asked some questions and definitely care about giving their upmost to claim a successful business. Overall the meal was super good and I will definitely be back to try some other menu items as well as some of their fresh baked goods which were mostly sold out already(2-230pm approx when we arrived). Very good from my perspective as a first visit. Hopefully they will continue their success and be here for an extended time.

Had a very nice brunch here with very beautifully plated dishes. I like the unique pairings of the ingredients that they use for some of their dishes compared to the norm.

It was clean and bright and we got a nice seat by the window. Our server was quick to say hello and take our drink order. I'm always impressed with the breadth of the menu here. I landed on the Seafood Yummy Hash, and hubby had the Big breakfast, again. Coffee and water came first, and we were both delighted at how good the coffee was. Most diner style restaurants have a very burnt tasting coffee but this was very smooth. Off to a good start! Food came out very quickly and looked amazing. Both dishes were beautifully plated, and the fruit on the big breakfast was not a typical canned special. Things took a turn at the first bite though. Taste 10/10, but our food was cold. Like cold, cold which was surprising given the restaurant was mostly empty, and it came out so quick. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and very obviously in-house made, but both of our potatoes were quite literally cold, with some of the baby potatoes being hard in the middle still. The sourdough was also stale, but not just stale in taste, it was almost like it had been toasted well in advance and then plated. The review on the big breakfast remains the same as last time. Sausage was amazing, but the bacon and the ham left something to be desired. The server took some time to return back to our table and check in on us. When she did I told her our food was cold. She just kind of made a face, said oooooh, apologized, and that was it. She also had to be reminded to refill our coffees a second time after asking. The last shock came with the bill. While the prices overall were reasonable for very large servings of food, two black coffees came to $11. I know we raved about them at the beginning of the review, but not sure they were $11 good. Really wanted to love it, but not sure it lived up to expectations this time.

The menu has changed since new ownership and chef. Much greater variety and in a good way. We were seated on the patio which was spacious and had a nice back yard relaxing feel. Made the dining experience More relaxed and calm. I ordered the Westcoast seafood chowder which was delicious. Good proportions of seafood in the soup and good consistency and texture. I love chowder and this was a good one! The Philly cheese I ordered was packed with cheese as the cheese pull was amazing. Beef could be a bit more tender/ smaller cuts as was a bit hard to bite off but overall still good. Au jus was nice and salty soaked into the bread harmonized and evened it out. I also ordered a side of beef gravy for my fries and it was good thickness and taste. Wife had a Benny with fried chicken on it. I had a small taste and it was good as well. The owner is very nice and made sure at the end to take our comments and feedback. She seems very keen to make her business successful and customers happy. I found the food delicious and service good! Definitely would recommend.

We waited about 20-25 mins to get our order. It was a longer than usual wait but we didn't mind because our food was fresh and delicious. Food is a little pricey but we think it's worth it. We ordered deep fried pork hock, which was delicious. Portion is smaller compared to comparator Filipino restaurants but nonetheless it is packed with flavour. I am not a huge fan of the sauces that accompany the dish. The beef in peanut sauce was delicious! It's rich, creamy and a generous portion. Anything that's tossed in a rich peanut sauce really gets my tastebud dancing! We ordered 2 bowls of rice, I didn't appreciate $9 for 2 bowls of rice but oh well.... Excellent service, the lovely guy with the long hair was friendly and welcoming. He answered all our questions and was very polite. We paid $80 for 2 dishes, rice and a 15% tip. We'd like to try their buffet so will need to plan for that sometime this year, hopefully.

The buffet was reasonably priced so we'll likely come back to try other dishes. The halo-halo we ordered was from their ala carte menu, so we paid for this separately. What really stood out at this restaurant is the service because the servers were attentive and fun to be around during the live music performance. They have a band on the weekends which adds to the ambiance of this place. Definitely come here if you want to have a great time!
