Beware of this place! Does not care if your animal is deathly sick. All stuck in a cage until they can get to it . That's why they don't want you staying . I wouldn't leave my child alone in a Dr office for hours . Why would I leave my dog? Go to the page , Shame on you Banfield Hosp and hear some real horror stories. There are several diff ones . I was so unsatisfied with my experience with this location I downloaded yelp just to leave this review. I had made an initial appointment to get my Puppy a consult for Spay and to switch them to her primary care provider since they are close to me. It took multiple calls to get someone on the phone, and when I made the appointment I was told it was close enough that I could confirm the appointment verbally right there. So I did. A few days later when I show up for our appointment the entire place is closed down. Apparently they didn't accept my confirmation and cancelled my appointment; and they left early. Upon talking to employees at the Petsmart that the Banfield is located in I was told that often they will close early and leave with no clear explanation; all while customers come in looking to get important medication for their animals after the fact. The next day I called multiple times again to reschedule and couldn't get anyone on the phone until almost 1PM, and they couldn't give me a reason why my appointment was cancelled. I decided to take my dog elsewhere. I don't know about everyone, but I love my dog, and will not be taking a chance with her health here. read more

I had a similar experience to Katie D's. I took my cat in for a routine check-up/shots, and the vet kept telling me how fat my cat was in a condescending manner rather than a helpful, "Hey - your cat is having some weight issues, and here's how we can help her out" sort of way. He suggested a special prescription diet food for her, and when I told him she was picky and asked for tips on how to get her to change over from her old food, he told me that cats aren't dumb, and that she wouldn't starve herself. Turns out he was wrong - cats will most definitely stop eating entirely which can lead to kidney failure. Thankfully I got a 2nd opinion from another vet, who then weighed her and told me she was under weight, and that the weight she was at at the time the vet called her fat numerous times was normal for her breed. So after 2 bags of prescription food that my cat won't touch, and didn't need in the first place, and the attitude I received, I'll never go near a Banfield again. read more

Had a very similar situation like Terri happen just now. Banfield corporate is awful and heartless!! My dog is being put down and you don't have any options to cancel. I've been using banfield for years but now I see y'all don't really care about anything other than money. My elderly dog is on a wellness plan and she is being put down this week and the only options they gave me to cancel the plan is to pay out in full or continue making payments on the plan for a dog that's no longer using it. I'm so mad! The last thing I need is this. It's hard enough having to put down a pet I've had next to me for 16yrs and now on top of going through her passing, banfield has no sympathy. HOW DO YOU NOT ALLOW DYING PETS TO CANCEL HASSLE FREE!!! I will NEVER trust banfield again!! PLEASE DONT GET A WELLNESS PLAN!! DONT TAKE YOUR PET TO BANFIELD!! Rude Employee answering the phone at the Banfield in Hamilton Ohio. I tried getting a prescription for a special food at Petsmart for my cat that recently had major surgery. The employee at Banfield was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. She had no inkling of sympathy for my poor cat that has to be tube fed for a few weeks. I was trying to get information on how to get my cat's food. The employee was hateful when she found out that I wasn't a customer of Banfield. I purchased from Chewy.com and will get the items, plus more items for my dogs tomorrow. Sorry Banfield you missed out on possibly recruiting a furture customer. And sorry Petsmart you missed out on a current customer because of the rude customer service of Banfield Hospital. read more

My girlfriend is new to the area and had not selected a vet. We returned to her home on late a Saturday afternoon to find her cat Sadie, struggling to breathe and cold. We knew it was not going to be good and did not know which vet we should call and who would still be open. The first vet we called was closed for the day. Banfield was our second call and they were still open. At first we just made an appointment because I did not really tell them how bad Sadie was. However once they understood the urgency we were told to bring Sadie in ASAP because it was an emergency. Once at the office, we waited for the person in front of us. Once the receptionist understood who we were, we were led into a room where he could take our information in private. They immediately took Sadie into the back where they could give her fluids and oxygen. The veterinarian was honest in her assessment of the situation but explained what she would do if we approved. We approved the initial treatment which was administered while we waited. After about 20 minutes the vet returned and informed us that Sadie did not improve. She laid out the options and we made the choice to put Sadie down. The prepared everything and then we were able to say our good byes. :( Although it was closing time, we were never rushed. All of the staff were compassionate and treated us with respect. read more

We have been taking our pets to Banfield at Bridgewater for years now. We have found them to be flexible in scheduling and compassionate with our animals. During a specific time frame with a specific vet we did have some issues. One of our dogs had a horrible breath problem and we continually asked about it and were told that it came from eating poo in our yard. That didn't seem right because the other dogs did that too and didn't have the same problem. Finally, another vet from the same Banfield diagnosed a gum infection and treated it with antibiotics. Her breath has cleared up nicely. Other than that, all of our experiences have been great! We like the wellness plans too. read more

I recently came to this site just to get a phone number and felt compelled to tell you about these wonderful people. We have been with them for MANY years. I have two pets that routinely see this Bridgewater Falls Banfield. Unfortunately my Siberian husky was a rescue dog and has had a number of physical problems that needed to be dealt with secondary to his abuse . Dr Pembaur has been an amazing vet with compassion, honesty and diligent care. Because of his situation we are frequently in to see her. Together as a team we work to keep him stable and happy. My second pet is a cat who is quite elderly. He also was a rescue and suffers from FIV. They have done an absolute amazing job of providing care to him and helping me to understand his health care dynamics. Socrates would not be alive without there unbelievable care. DR Harper is amazing. Her experience guided us through the most recent surgery. DR Pembaur also helped me when we had an emergency after the surgery. I have also brought MANY cats that we rescue at Helping Hands Healthcare to both of these vets when there was emergencies. You will find nobody better than them! The vet techs are really knowledgeable and I have to say the staff that answer the phones are ALWAYS helpful. I disagree with those of you who have found fault. Maybe they were busy with another emergency which has happen when I was waiting but in this world of healthcare the sickest are seen and cared for first. Thank you for all that you have done for the families pets. We think you are the absolute BEST!!!!! read more

Put my schnauzer on their premium pet wellness plan in Dec. 2015. He needed some xray's on his leg. That's why I put him on the plan because they said it would be more cost effective. Initial cost for exam, meds, and 1st month plan cost me about $120. You have to sign a contract for a year!!! My dog was having seizures first of March 2016. They said he had cancer of the lipnodes. They had done blood test in Dec 2015. It was ok. They said he only had a couple of weeks to live so I agreed to have him put down. Then I found out that I still had to pay for the wellness plan in full and could not transfer it to another pet. What a scam. Every time I took my dog in I paid in cash or credit card was always around $100. The wellness plan is not worth it. Other vets cost where a lot less and better care of pets I later found out. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR BANDFIELD'S PET WELLNESS PLAN YOU WILL REGRET IT. I WILL NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PET TO BANDFIELD PET HOSPITAL. ALL THEY WANT IS ALOT OF MONEY FOR NOTHING. I'M PAYING FOR SERVICES I CAN NEVER USE CAUSE MY PET DIED 3 MONTHS INTO THE PLAN. NEVER AGAIN,!!!! read more
