Why are you hiding or deleting my review?…read more My Experience: I have been bringing my dog to this veterinary clinic since I adopted him, for about two years. All of Paşa's medical procedures have been done here. However, last night my dog suddenly became very ill: he vomited seven times in a row and had diarrhea, with blood in it. We rushed to the clinic in the morning. When we explained the situation and were visibly distressed, the long-haired gentleman at the counter spoke to us very rudely, rolling his eyes, and said, "We cannot see patients without an appointment." Even after I explained that it was an emergency and that we have been coming here since Paşa was born, he repeated the same response in a dismissive manner. I understand if walk-ins are not usually accepted, but we have been loyal clients for two years and expected a little help in such an urgent situation. I even called other clinics, and despite never having been there before, they helped me over the phone for free, giving advice on what to do. If they had taken my dog immediately, treated him, and charged me afterward, I would never have complained because I truly didn't care about the cost. But after being dismissed twice at the door and then being told, "We will treat him if you pay this much," it did not feel sincere to me. Despite having entrusted this clinic with all of my dog's care over the past two years, we were treated rudely and turned away when we arrived in a panic. My heart aches because my dog was in pain and we were left helpless. In short, you can take your dog here for regular care, but if your dog is seriously sick, you may be treated dismissively and left feeling helpless.

Two of these visits were made, on the same day I called, for emergency visits. I so very much appreciate the flexible and late hours offered by the County Animal Hospital. For the first time in his life, Charlie was experiencing frightening urinary symptoms that completely caught me off guard. This made me a scared and panicky mess when I first arrived for my visit with Dr. Kaptan. His calm and decisive demeanor while examining Charlie instantly reassured me. At once, I knew I was in the right place. The doctor quickly ran blood work, took an x-ray, and performed a tricky ultrasound to recover a urine sample. I was very impressed that, in just a few short minutes, the results were available for all of these tests. Dr. Kaptan carefully explained Charlie's treatment plan, answered all of my questions, and explained every line of the bill. I was sent home not only with peace of mind, but also with everything I needed to care for Charlie, including special food and his pain medication. A week later, I once again had to bring Charlie for urinary symptoms and I also had to bring my other cat, Rosie, for respiratory distress. Dr. Kaptan took great care in determining the best course of action. He then promptly administered vital medications that I believe helped save both of my cat's lives, especially Rosie. I can never adequately express how thankful I am for his care. Rosie and Charlie are a big part of my family and I love them both dearly. Through my experiences, I observed just how compassionate Dr. Kaptan is with his patients, and I truly believe he cares about their outcomes. Along with his attentive and caring staff, I would highly recommend any concerned animal owner to the care of County Animal Hospital. I also sincerely appreciate that they have very reasonable prices and make an effort to limit unnecessary expenditures. Thank you for doing all you can to reduce the stress involved in my visit, especially your efforts to have short wait times before appointments. Finally, I just want to again express my gratitude to all of you for all of your time and effort in the care of my beloved cats.

There are lots of other good vet offices in the region, but Mason Family Pet Hospital is my favorite. They charge reasonable prices, have convenient evening and weekend appointments and love my animals as if they were their own. I've moved away from the Mason area, first to downtown Cincinnati and then to Dayton, but I still drive back to Mason for my furbabies to be seen here as I know they will be taken care of well and I will be charged reasonable prices. Everyone here works super hard and their prices are fair. The staff probably deserves to be paid way than they ask, but they still keep things reasonable. The free nail trims are a wonderful benefit and save me lots as I'm too afraid to try clipping my pups nails on my own. I know I said it before, but the Vets and staff here are amazing. They often get on the ground to make my animals, especially my rabbit, feel more comfortable. They always take the time to explain things, especially when there are multiple treatment options and take financial aspects into consideration. Unlike other practices I've been to, they never pressure me into anything unnecessarily and I know that anything they recommend is really for the benefit of my animals. I've seen all the Vets here at least once, but my pup normally sees Dr. Mason and my rabbit typically sees Dr. Alesssi - both of whom are awesome. When my late dog had cancer in a rare place, I was impressed that Dr. Mason admitted he had never seen anything like my dog's case and recommended we see an expert for the best care. He, and all the staff here, were wonderful as we transitioned to palliative care of my dog keeping him comfortable and helping me stay informed so I felt confident in making tough end-of-life decisions.

I'm a Great Dane owner and since I did my research it's recommended to wait until your puppy matures about a year and a half to two years old before spay/neuter to ensure your puppy is fully grown. The main "selling point" was that it includes this spay/neuter procedure you basically are breaking up payments monthly. But have to get the surgery during that year. We asked if you could get it on your own timeline and the roundabout answer was no. Once we politely declined the package it seemed like the customer service just went downhill. They took our dog back and preformed a feces test (which I had to go back and ask for the results). Next the vet came in and mentioned the small bumps our pup had on his muzzle. When I received my pup he had some small bumps that the breeders vet had previously prescribed a cream to apply. The entire reason I had set this appointment was to get another vets opinion with myself present and to get another cream prescribed since I was almost out of what the breeder gave me. Long story short the vet told me that she wasn't sure what the bumps were and we left with literally no answers. The only benefit of our appointment was getting Simpatico Trio (flea and tick) that has to be prescribed by a vet. $120 later we left with flea and tick medicine. No answers. Would not recommend due to the level of care and expertise. Enjoy the pic of our baby boy sleeping while waiting...

We bragged to others about how great everything was. Since COVID, things have went down hill BAD! So my fur baby had a check up this morning. We get there to drop him off. They told us that vet called off so they would have to reschedule the appointment. Obviously since the Vet called off first thing this morning, they were not able to notify us ahead of time. This makes it very inconvenient for us. My husband explained that we drive an hour to bring him here. So she called the Bridgewater office and after several attempts they finally answered the call and said they could take him today for his check up. So he had to drive over there to drop him off. Just ridiculous. Most of the time when we go for a first thing in the morning appointment and get there to drop him off, staff is not there or ready to receive check ins. At least one person is late and holding up check ins. When this happens, you then have to sit there and wait on the late person to arrive so you can check in your dog and get to work yourself. Which mind you, now you're late to work because someone at Banfield chose to be late that morning. My husband arrives to pick up our dog at the Bridgewater office this afternoon and he said there was a line. He said the people at the desk are talking to other customers, ok, which is fine. But its more like its social hour. Talking about things that are not related to their dog. I understand a little, but my husband ended up having to wait 25 minutes in line before he even got up to the desk to check out. That is a bit much. When there is just one customer in line. Ok, fine, talk all you want. But when you see multiple people in line waiting to be helped, please keep the unnecessary chit chat at a minimum. Do that on your own time, not ours! I also wanted to add at previous visits, the vet told us they heard a heart murmur. Then the visit after that they said they didn't hear a heart murmur. So we have gotten conflicting information. I know when I was told the first time that he had a heart murmur I was so upset. How can you hear a heart murmur one time and not hear it the next. Definitely makes me not feel very confident in their professional opinion/judgement.

I AM APPALLED, FRUSTRATED AND SHOCKED ON HOW I WAS TREATED TODAY…read more A little background: i have been bringing my dogs to Kyle vet for 15 years. NEVER, NEVER have i ever had a problem. I have spent $$$$$$$ to care for my dogs. ($3-5,000 yr} I don't even question any care that they recommend. 1- Each year I bring the employees 2 cakes so they can celebrate my dog's birthday with him. GREAT RELATIONSHIP. 2- I have brought in homemade cookies, candy etc for the holidays. One year, I brought in personalized coffee mugs for everyone. A thanks for the care and love shown to Milton 3- I have recommended Kyle Vet to everyone that I can. My neighbors, my best friend, my business customers etc etc. 3- I was BLOWN AWAY by how they treated a dog i had 10 years ago. Duke had a heart attack at the Vet office and one of the nurses actually gave my dog mouth-to-mouth until we could get to the hospital across the street. OUTSTANDING! 4- I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. i was scared and concerned about my current dog. DR KYLE..........DR KYLE immediately set me at ease. She said she would personally find a home for him even if she had to take him. THIS IS THE WAY TO BE TREATED. DR KYLE AND HER TEAM CARED!!!! A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP!!! TODAY....... I had Chemo treatments this morning. I thought I would drop Milton off to have some fun. Dropped him off, said Thank you and advised them I would be back at 12-12:30pm. They texted and said he needed his Bordetella shot. No problem let's get it done. I show up at 12:10 pm. 1- The building is locked. I looked around ..no clue. I finally saw a 3inch by 5-6inch note on the entry door. When I arrived at 8:30am I had my dog in hand, and at the same time, I am helping another lady open the door because she had a bigger dog and she was trying to handle him. NO ONE SAID A THING WHEN I DROPPED HIM OFF......even though I said I would be back at noon. 2 - I called ....no answer. I texted the same person who texted me to get approval for his Bordetella shot. no response. They don't have a problem when they want my $$$$$$$, but now I get no communication. 3- I finally decided to walk around to the side door. Someone did answer the door, and I stated I just want my dog. I am not driving 20-25 minutes north just to turn around and drive 20-25 minutes back. I was not happy and just wanted to rest. 4- As the one employee went to get Milton another employee decided to get involved. I was not having it. i am frustrated and really just want to go home and rest. CHEMO will kick your A--! Her comment to me was ..........FIND ANOTHER VET. DID I REALLY JUST HEAR THAT......FIND ANOTHER VET. WOW. I CAN GUARANTEE SHE DID NOT HAVE ANY PERSONAL INVESTMENT IN THE BUSINESS. SHE SURE THOUGHT SHE COULD MAKE DECISIONS THAT AFFECTED ME, MY DOG AND THE OWNER OF THE BUSINESS. SHE NEEDS TO FIND ANOTHER JOB IF SHE CAN'T HANDLE IT. 5- For 40 years I was a supervisor for Bridgestone/Firestone. I was responsible for one location and then for 32 locations and finally ended up as a Zone Controller that managed 286 locations. Here is the simple, proper, CARING way to handle the situation. 1- Put a larger sign on both front doors. At least an 8x11 inch. Not black and white writing. Make it stand out. This sign should go on entry and exit doors. 2- Every customer that comes in, or even calls on the phone, needs to be reminded that "we will be closed from noon to 1pm today for a special meeting". Again, every customer. 3- Even though you are closed, one employee should be assigned to watch the front office in case of a customer that needs help. REGULAR CARE OR EMERGANCY CARE. This is the way I was taught early in my career, and I followed it for the next 40 years. NO EMPLOYEE MEETING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE CUSTOMER. One person can miss that meeting. They can be caught up after the meeting. FINALLY.... this location changed management as of Jan 1. (I believe Dr Kyle retired 12/31). I was extremely frustrated this morning. Anyone that has gone through Cancer treatments understands that once the session is done, all you want to do is go home and sleep. There were many steps that could have been done to eliminate the situation. I now have a decision........ do I listen to an employee that 1- doesn't care, 2-doesn't know how to handle a frustrating situation, 3- makes decisions that affect many people with no $$$$ invested in the business OR do I forget the situation and continue to bring Milton to the same place that he/I are comfortable with?? Have I been blind in the past? Have I been fooled? It is SAD that i should even have to entertain this thought. By the way, someone just emailed me a copy of Milton's records. What I find VERY INTERESTING is that they did not leave any name or who it was sent from. To me that is a coward move.
