Broke a fence board earlier today while laying sod. It was reported, and the workers left around 11. Thought someone would have come back and replaced missing board, but "it was noted in your file", is what I was told. Noted and replaced are 2 totally different approaches. And now it's the weekend, hope my pet stays inside fence and others pets stay out! I should have known better. read more

Recently contracted Banfield for lawn service and sprinklers. They work with waterworks for the sprinklers and I had an issue with one of the sprinklers. After talking with water works and Banfield, about issue. Banfield came out and fixed the issue immediately. I am super impressed with the customer service that Banfield has. It makes spending thousands of dollars worth it when you get the customer service to go along with it. read more

We used Banfield to landscape our front yard a few years ago. His son-in-law had his wife design our makeover. I told him I wanted three gallon plants, but received one gallon. They charged $800 to remove the red rock and brought a front-end loader to scoop out the rock , but left some rock. They then cover them up with a load of dirt. I think the plants have not grown because of the rock. He put an ornamental grass next to the walkway to our porch. I asked if it would not grow too big for that area, but he said no that it was perfect for that spot. It got so big that when it covered half of our walkway, I had my son dig it up and plant it on the other side of the plant area of the house. I have replaced some of the first plants with new ones, and they also died. They were supposed to put tall skinny growing bushes on each side of our windows, four total, but they have not grown tall, but bushed out. We complained, and the owner did come to see the job, but did nothing to fix it. read more

I hired Banfields to remove all of the foliage from my flower bed, install a concrete border, and install rocks. My flower bed looks great and I am satisfied with their job performance. When I asked them to return and make some adjustments, he came out without a problem and made them expeditiously without a problem. read more

From what I can tell from the reviews, folks either love or hate the service they've received, so I decided to give this very close, local company a chance. I've got this team providing lawn care treatments and doing some landscaping. As they've just started the treatments, I can't fairly review until I see results one way or another. What I can say is that the team has been very responsive and polite with all my billing and treatment questions. I also had them do a textured path in my backyard with some planters and it looks great (although there's still some clean up to wrap up.) We're also scheduled to do some sod work as well (can you tell it's new construction) in the next couple months, so I'll reserve my 5-star rating until then. I'll update! read more

Fellow consumers the posting of my "beautiful" landscaping job done by Banfield's Landscaping & Lawn Care of Pace, FL is MOST DECEIVING. The choice of annual plants was not what I wanted. The scrubs were not the right ones for their location. While it "appears" pristine, it sure wasn't 2 months later when every section of landscaping was a WEED PATCH. I had to have it redone which cost me another $900. I would NEVER RECOMMEND them for landscaping. read more

My family has been a customer of Banfield's for several years now. My parents needed guidance on their lawn care (something I know nothing about) after moving down to the Pensacola area. After some Google searches and a few phone calls we settled on Banfield's. Kelly and Tina have been incredibly kind and helpful since day one. Their team comes out once a month to take care of the lawn. Over the years we've asked them to tackle a handful of other projects, from designing landscape and plant installation, to aerating the soil (I'm pretty sure a few more services have been used over the years). The team has always been honest about what they think our yard needs and are always willing to talk you through the process. On the rare occasion that something is not to my parents preference, we've called and quickly had things fixed. We appreciate the quality work from the Banfield team and look forward to their lawn care for years to come. read more

Mr Banfield is a scammer. Don't use the services of Banfield's Landscaping. We hired him to do some sodding and put in some drainage pipes. He was very confident and said that was the kind of work he did. He's such a salesman. One week after he put in the drainage pipes in, they popped out of the ground. When I contacted him, he came and looked at them. He told me he wanted to come back in the Fall to rebury the pipes. It was April and we didn't want to wait, but salesman, Kelly Bansfield, was convincing with all kinds of reasons to wait. Fall came and Kelly was no where around. His company then shut down over the holidays. After over 50 phone calls trying to get him back out, we are still looking at these pipes and he won't take our calls. I contacted the BBB, but he failed to respond to them. We paid $35,000. We certainly wouldn't have paid that much for sod! I'm hoping the courts make him pay my attorney and court fees. Don't engage this company. read more

Our entire yard was in dire need of an update. All of our existing shrubs were being overtaken by weeds and all were completely overgrown. Banfield's came up with a succinct landscape plan that they brought to fruition within 2 weeks once the project started. Once the project was agreed upon, we as homeowners, sat back and watched the transformation. Every aspect of the project, from spraying weeds, to grinding stumps, was handled by them. Our yard look wonderful now! Dwarf plants and small shrubs replaced our overgrown jungle. Banfield's was prompt and responsive to our wants. They were very thorough. RUN FAR AND AWAY. Showed up unannounced or invite. Just walked into my backyard, even after explanation at original sale of why this was important not be done (previous unrelated contractor allowed one of our dogs to get out). Called to cancel contract when nothing had been provided by the company and grass would not even be available for over two weeks. Refused to cancel my contract or refund deposit. read more

All I can say is, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company. long story short, they killed our garden, 2 Apple trees, a lemon tree, and stressed out 2 mature orange trees. i requested what they spayed on the shrubs and they told me, Talstar Pro .75 oz/gal And 10-10-10 fertilizer .25 lb. within 3 days, my shrubs turned brown and turned the leaves to a crisp! A week later, our garden and fruit trees were dead! I sent pictures to the manager mark and he said the owner would contact me and come look at my shrubs. 2 weeks later, I still haven't heard from the owner. I finally contacted the owner, Kelly and he was very rude and talked over me. He would not do anything and said he would refund the remaining amount I've already paid for services. He never looked at the shrubs and admitted to any wrong. After talking very rude to me, he hung the phone up without a solution! i did some research on the Talstar Pro which they sprayed on my fruit and vegetabl bearing trees and plants and found out it is not to be applied to fruit bearing trees and ca. Be harmful to the trees and human and pet consumption. The state of Florida came out and are conducting test to determine the chemicals which were applied. i tried to give Kelly the opportunity to make it right and he only became more upset and talking down to me on the phone! Set up an appointment for 4/26/2021 @ 8 am. It was 8:01 am when I called the office and to check in why the person (Mark) was late. The lady that answered the phone said she would check and call me back. 8:24 am I have not received a phone call for an update. I called back and was told she was unable to get in touch with anyone, at this point i canceled the appointment and explained I would call a lawn service that wanted my business, she told me that is all she could do and abruptly hung up on me. We have been doing business with Banfield's Landscaping and Lawn Care for around eight years. They service our property in Pensacola, FL. and in Milton, FL. In Pensacola, they replaced the grass, and did landscaping to our flower bed, added lights that comes on automatically at night. They come out monthly and service the lawn. We are kept inform as to what is needed before doing the care if there is a problem appearing. The lawn is beautiful. In Milton, they began in 2016 servicing our home in Milton, Florida. We have found that during the years of being with Banfield's, they are very personable to and with their customer. If you see a problem all you have to do is call the office and they will call you back. They will come out and go over the situation with you. We met with Mike in May to discuss redoing our front landscaping. He came out, was very courteous and it sounded promising. He said he was going to take it back to the office where his wife would come up with a plan of action. We wanted everything ripped out, weeds gone, color, and boarders with mulch with the exception of a gardenia I had on the side of my home and a crapemyrtle on the opposing side. Mike came back out to show us the idea. All looked great! We decided to expand one of our beds in this plan, and we were excited! Mike told us they will come out one day to pull everything and kill the weeds first. Time came around for the process to begin. We were given a 2 week window for them to start. First week goes by without hearing or seeing anything. Second week rolls by, so my husband texts Mike to see what's going on. They were delayed from rain and would start the following week. Okay, good deal. Friday of the 3rd week, they come and pull everything up, including my gardenia and attempted to cut my crapemyrtle before someone stopped them. Okay, it's just a gardenia. Whatever. They came back out Monday the next week to complete the job. This is where everything sorta hit the fan. The bed was not expanded as we had discussed. We had flowers missing. Mulch was washing out on to my walkway. They left stepped on, broken, and dead flowers. We had 3 ginger that didn't fit the space or look good. So Mike came back out to go over everything and we told him what we weren't happy with. He agreed with us that the ginger didn't look good, the shape was wrong, and they were missing flowers, so we planned for them to come back and fix it. And fix it they did. They redug out to stop mulch from washing out. They reshaped the bed. They moved plants around and added more to fit with the new flow of the bed. They replaced the ginger (without telling us what it would be replaced with). I had pulled one of the dead annuals they stepped on and set it on my porch. They then replanted it in the opposite bed...still dead and brown. Also with expanding the flower bed, it entailed moving a tree they planted. Granted this tree won't be bigger than 4', it was replanted dead center of my front door. Still no flowers. Now I do understand these that have been planted aren't in season and will bloom. But we were suppose to have MORE annuals. I told Mike at the beginning that I enjoy placing new annuals, so even if whatever annuals they planted didn't last long, I am more than happy purchasing more and placing at my convenience. And also at this time, weeds and grass are starting to pop up all over my beds, telling me they did nothing to stop this. No spray, no liner, nothing. To sum up the second expansion, we were even more displeased. Mike came back out, and had the brunt end of my husbands frustrations. After apologizing to Mike, he said he would get the owner out here. Well, we haven't seen Mr Kelly once besides when he was here working on the beds. He never introduced himself, and apparently turns a blind eye to stepped on and dead flowers. Kelly did call my husband and my husband told him our complaints. Kelly told my husband he would go over everything and bring us a new adjusted price. Well, all he took off was $60 for 4 annuals. Read that again. 4 annuals for $60. Now, on top of paying what they're asking, I have to go in behind them and rip up the $60 annuals we told them we didn't like, I'm pulling and spraying weeds left and right, I'm purchasing more plants to replace broken ones, I'm replacing the bushes they put in place of the ginger (since we didn't even discuss what would be put there). When Mike came out the last time, he THEN mentions to us that he was going to tell us he was going to personally replace the annuals in a few months with season appropriate ones. I've used Banfield for my lawn spraying ever since I had my lawn resodded several years ago. My lawn has stayed beautiful during this time, even though I had difficulties maintaining the previous yard in my sandy soil. I've had the same service technician the entire time and he really knows my yard. Kudos to Banfield!! read more

Okay, so my mother in law, who is 67 and lives alone contacted this business to do some demolition work. she paid a 50% deposit in November, they did not contact her till December, she asked them to delay a bit due to health reasons, she is 67 and had a major health scare. When she called in back in January to ask when they are coming she was told she was not on the books and they would call her when they could get to her, for almost two weeks she tried to call them and got the runaround. Finally she spoke with the owner, she asked for a refund of the deposit as it had been too long and she decided not to get the work done in the way they would do it. They said they would refund only 20% of the money she paid as they keep a 30%. This was NOT made clear to her she did not understand that they keep the money for work NOT done. This was a DEMO job tearing out ponds, no or very few materials needed. Fast forward to Feb 1 2016, I Son in law called and tried to explain she did not understand that they were keeping money and why, I was laughed at and told oh that lady, sorry. When I called back to explain I was going to post poor reivews and complain to the BBB I was told to F**K off and hung up on. My wife called back and was told oh YOU PEOPLE, we are not talking to you any more. So 1. They rip off elderly 2. They keep money and dont do work 3. They swear at customers. Spent literally thousands of dollars on new sod for our home and hired our first lawn service to keep our investment whole. They failed miserably as we began to see brown, dying spots, constant weeds etc. Switched to Banfield over one year ago as per the recommendation of a friend. Heard the whole "your lawn is a crop" speech that I am sure everyone gets as well as the disclaimer on how "YOU need to be active in water management" or your lawn will suffer. I have to say, it sounded like a disclaimer. I purchased the whole service, aeration, lawn testing, everything. Over time, we would watch weeds form, I would call...brown spots...I would call...mole crickets, I would call and each time someone came out. The point is...I would get visits regularly, but simply spray the chemicals...no addressing "trouble spots." Both my wife and I work so only evidence was the lawn tag indicating some service was performed and the service attached to our front door. As I watched the lawn deteriorate more, I called and was here on a few occasions and each time, I was told either MY WATERING was the culprit or "that began before we took over." Bald spots were forming and I was told "they will fill in" meanwhile the Saint Augustine was being replaced with Johnson grass. It was as if I was on a schedule for spray and run...no true lawn assessment. No recommendation unless I would actively ask someone to evaluate and I would wait at home for it. As the 12 or 14 feet that parallels the street began to truly die off, Banfield recommended resod at over $1000. That's when I hired the professional company Sandbox Boyz to resod. If you truly believe in your product..perhaps YOU should pay for sod that your technique killed but NO ONE COMPANY that I know of in Pensacola has thay type of confidence in their product. Does Pensacola have ANY true, lawn maintenance companies who use scientific techniques instead of guessing? I am beginning to doubt it. I cancelled my service and will use the Scotts app for a year...nothing to lose. I will say, very friendly staff, etc...nothing personal...just not worth MY money. read more
