I dined in on a Thursday evening and was surprised to see the place packed! The service was prompt and friendly despite being so busy. This is going to be a new spot on my frequently-visited list! I came here on a Thursday night. We were greeted right away and seated. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. The menus were huge! One front and back menu for Thai food, and another front and back menu for sushi. I just stuck to sushi this time around. I had the crab and seaweed salad, the bom bom roll, tuna nigiri, and salmon nigiri. Everything was fresh and delicious, and served quickly! Only did carryout I have to say this first. Very responsive, friendly and best of all was ready when they said it was. Had the N5 with chicken to share with my wife, so it was mild, not spicy hot which is my preference. Food was delicious, per the wife. But, I like spice, but was very good. My family ordered assorted sushi rolls, all enjoyed, and insisted I try the Hot Mama Roll. What an incredible melody of flavors. The fish and vegetables were fresh and nicely proportioned. Definitely left me craving more than 2 pieces. I ordered Gaeng Gai with chicken and was not disappointed. The flavors created a mouth symphony. Just the right combination of coconut milk, curry, chicken, peppers and basil. I had so much left, I was able to have 2 more meals from the one container. We've been coming here since the previous location in Lake Orion. The food is actually very good and the value is notable. Unfortunately we have been let down by the service at least three times now. Call it bad luck, but multiple times (including tonight) we have had to wait over an hour for pretty simple takeout order that was lost and then seemingly ignored. I'm pretty patient but when I have to wait 70 minutes and watch other people who ordered long after I did pick up and then leave, I have to wonder about the management. Same thing happened to my wife once while dining in. It took her and her sister well over an hour to receive their food. I wish they had online ordering!!! But ordering and paying over the phone wasn't bad. It was a 45 minute wait for Sunday at dinner time (order placed at 5:30), which was reasonable and expected, honestly. I still gave 5 stars because it was that delicious. When you pick up their door to the outside is open, which might be so you don't have to touch a handle, but then inside the doorway there's a table with all the open order receipts, each labeled with a sharpie. They also have multiple signs asking for tips. Find your name, sign the receipt using a communal pen, they'll hand you your food, and you can be on your merry way. read more

I'm a huge Thai food fan, and Asian food in general but being north of 59 the choices thin out considerably. Sushi Thai is basically the only game in town literally so in EH and I went for a Thai feed. The decor says more Tulsa than Thailand with the current owners not changing much from the previous defunct BBQ place if anything at all. Relatively busy for a Monday we were seated immediately and ordered spring rolls and summer rolls to start. Both were deep fried and very good. They came with super sweet dipping sauces that were cousins of each other the one having peanuts. I ordered Hawaiian fish that was good, swimming in sweet and sour sauce. EH has some sort of Pad Thai with a few pieces of broccoli in it and chicken although it just looked like a pound of brown noodles. Thai iced tea was the bev of choice and choice and of course SWEET! A friend and I ate here on a Friday night. The interior was cute, and there was quite a bit of seating. I ordered the crispy roll, wonton soup, and the Pad Kra Tiem Prik Thai (Garlic Stir-Fry) with beef. My friend ordered a couple sushi rolls and soup (I don't remember which kind). The food was fabulous. The wonton soup might have been the best I have ever had, and it was a really good portion. The crispy roll was delish and had a great sauce that came with it. The Pad Kra Tiem Prik was awesome. They put dried/fried minced garlic right on the top of it which gave it both some texture and some serious garlic flavor, which I love. Plus everything in it was great as well. The only downside was the service. I'm sure they're short on waiters like everywhere else, so I don't want to be too harsh, but it was excessively slow. It was probably 20 minutes from sitting down with menus to ordering, and there were about 5 other tables seated. Once we ordered the food came out at a nice clip though. I have been going here since they opened and the food has always been amazing. Tonight there was an ant walking around on my sushi roll. When I pointed it out the waitress seemed concerned. She took it right away and said she would make me a new one. She retuned with half of the roll in a to go box and then still charged me for it. If there are ants in the kitchen during the winter time that is definitely concerning. Bugs, hair or anything gross in food in a restaurant should be taken seriously. Very upsetting that one of my favorite places didn't know how to handle the situation. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

We have tried sushi and Thai a lot the last few weeks. The honey chicken is excellent and is a huge portion! My husband and I both love the basil fried rice with beef. The cashew nut with chicken is wonderful and I've ordered it a few times now. I really love the vegetarian sushi! The pad pak was good but I wouldn't get it again, it could just be me not really liking cabbage. This is where they loose the star....the pad see ew is just not good. There was no sauce and everything was stuck together. I hope they have a recipe change, because I love that dish at other restaurants. The crab Rangoon is so good, I'm pretty sure they make it themself, but we have gotten it underdone twice now. I'm not going to stop ordering it though, and will probably get it tonight! Overall great food, do recommend! Ended up getting more tonight lol. The pinapple fried rice was fantastic! Just tried Sushi & Thai for the first time today and will definitely be back for more. The staff was friendly, and the service was very fast. The overall atmosphere is very inviting and you definitely get what you pay for. We got several of their sushi rolls and it was absolutely delicious. The only reason I would give 4 instead of 5 stars is because I had never been there before, and needed to use GPS. We've ordered from here multiple times in the last year. It quickly became our favorite Thai food. We frequent Sushi & Thai regularly, including throughout the pandemic. I've had some blah Thai a couple times, including a spoiled lime in my pad Thai last time, but we just kinda dealt with it. Last night, for my birthday, my husband called to order. He was told 1.5-2 hours for sushi. Ok, we choose to do something else. Tonight he calls, orders, is told 30 minutes. Well 30 minutes turned into an hour .... .... but what's even better is he was given his Thai food after 30 minutes. So it sat in the car for 30 minutes to get cold while waiting on my food. How in the hell is this acceptable service?! We will NEVER return. Ever. I told my husband to demand a refund and leave, but he waited until he was on his way to text me. I doubt they will even respond to this review because I honestly don't think they even care about happy clients. **** Edited to add, and knocking a star - employee came out with my sushi, and my hubs asked how long to reheat his pad Thai they brought out 30 minutes prior. I was in the area at the dog park so I placed a$60 to go order. I ordered 3 appetizers and 3 entrees. The crab rangoons stole the show ( they were amazing pillows of cream cheese -so delicious I know I'm going to crave them later) crispy chicken rolls (good as well) and 2 spring rolls (were very fresh and crispy) . I would order all three of these again but some of the entrees I would never care to have again. I ordered veggie pad Thai- the portion was enormous and very dry. Veggie almond dish had great flavor of garlic and a brown thin soup-like gravy served over rice and lastly we ordered the soup with the pork in it (just was not for our taste). I supposed the veggie pad Thai was what I was looking forward to and it was a huge letdown. This restaurant used to be next to the post office in Lake Orion. They've moved a couple of miles closer to Oxford on Lapeer Road, in what used to be The Pearl. Holy Moly!!! After a long day, I decided to stop by here and pick up some carryout for the family. Thai food isn't my favorite thing, but I thought I would check this place out. As a former donut shop (way back) wasn't sure, it could still make me happy. Welllllllll I was blown away by the friendliness of the staff, but the food...holy cow!!!! We ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and Peanut Yellow Curry. Started with the fried rice and it was amazing and perfectly spiced and flavored. Not too spicey and not too sweet and the chicken was great which is usually my issues with Thai food. Then we tried the Curry which was even better!! The portions are perfect and shareable and can be taken for lunch the next day (sorry coworkers for the curry smell in the microwave) and reasonably priced.
