There are a handful of tables inside to enjoy. Menu is on the board and a small sign for heat (1-5 spicy. I recommend 2). I love the pad thai and pad sew ew here with heat level 2. I tried spicy level 3 and it was too spicy for me. Large portions for $13 and thai Ice tea with less cream was perfect. The very best Thai food in this universe! & university It's always busy and there's a wait but the wait is worth it. Customer service is fast and most of it is do it yourself. They give you to go containers for everything. It's only when you order soup they give you a bowl but everything is container. A great and fast Thai food restaurant near campus! They serve in a very fast speed, with a pretty friendly attitude. The dining environment might be not so cozy because of the kitchen fumes, but there're sufficient seats and clean tables. I ordered the Pad Thai, and it tasted so delicious! Bangkok Thai is a place on campus I find myself going back to time and time again. It has a great location on Green St. and gives generous portions for relatively cheap prices. It definitely gets crowded around dinner, so don't expect to easily find a table if you're in a group. I usually prefer to take my food to go anyway, as the place can sometimes feel cramped with so many people and backpacks everywhere. They provide small to-go cups for hoisin sauce and sriracha also. The pad thai is great here, and you get a lot of it for the price. While it's nothing fancy, it's delicious and the noodles themselves are always cooked well. I'll usually get a spice level of 5 and that'll be enough to get a little bit of a kick without it being overwhelming. The panang curry is a great alternative for when I don't feel like eating noodles. It's very flavorful and has a mild coconut smell to it. Just picked up lunch today and there was a huge, black hair in one of my spring rolls!! The people making the food need to make sure they are wearing hair nets, or anything to keep the food cleaner. Ended up here with a coworker. I'm a travel nurse so not too familiar with the area. She saw that this place had good reviews so we decided to try it out. I have been to Thailand 3x and this food was AMAZING. Simply delicious. The spice was just right for my basil chicken and j ended up having some of my friend's basil fried rice and that was delicious as well. The Thai ice tea was perfect as well. I recommend the P1 pho - it's beef broth based, and includes every type of beef they offer in the broth. It comes with glass noodles, scallion, and sprouts and lime on the side. I freaking love this place. It used to be my go-to "treat yo self" place after exams and I try to go whenever I'm back on campus. I can never not get the pad thai. I'm sad they don't do the daily specials any more (i.e. pad thai Mondays!), but it's still a generous portion size for under $10. I used to be able to finish it all in one sitting, but I think it can be eaten for 2 meals for normal people. The flavors in the pad thai are also always spot on although the most recent time I went it was a little sweeter than normal, but I didn't mind it. You also have to choose your spice level, so I would recommend starting low because it can get pretty spicy depending on the cook that day. Spice level 3 is just enough to give it a little kick at the end of the bite. I personally like 4. During the winter, I also love getting the pho! Restaurant review: Eh, maybe I should have went with the curry. I was craving asian food and decided to come here for dinner. This restaurant reminds me of the Hong Kong dai pai dong food stalls where you order and they call your number to pick up your food. My wife had the pad thai which was a good value and tasted like pad thai. I ahd the pho and it was 2 thumbs down. Even though it was the combo pho with everything, there was not a lot of protein items and the noodles were overcooked. The worst thing was the pho broth which is usually a highlight. I don't know what they used to season it but somehow it tasted like dish water. There was no clear broth flavor with star of anise or hint of cinnamon. It just tasted very off and I could not stomach more than a spoon of the soup. If you want cheap food then the lunch special looks like a good deal, but stay away from the pho at all cost! This place is awesome because of its lunch specials in which a certain item is 45% off its normal price. I personally like their fried rice Tuesday specials. There isn't anything too special in terms of toppings for the fried rice, just onions and the main ingredient that your order (tofu, chicken, beef, and shrimp fried rice). Also note that shrimp fried rice is not on discount during Tuesday. What makes their food especially delectable is their spicy levels which range from 1-6. With such a wide range, it's somewhat hard to discern the levels of spicy. I've had level 5 and level 6 meals here and I can't really tell the difference sometimes. I tried the Thai food here and it was amazing! Their menu is huge and can be daunting to order from, especially since the kitchen is really fast paced and the cooks are constantly taking orders / yelling out numbers. You can pick anything from their menu and adjust the spice level based on their number system. I decided to get a pad thai and a Thai curry. I asked for the pad thai to be nonspicy but I wish I asked for a spice level of 2. After trying a slightly more spicy pad thai, I found that the spice really does bring an extra level of flavor to the noodles. Even though I ended up flavoring my dish with sriracha, the pad thai here is one of the best pad thai I've ever had. I've never successfully made pad thai myself so I always find it amazing when a restaurant gets it right. Each element of the dish was really perfect - the noodles were cooked perfectly and soaked up just the right amount of flavor. It had a really great balance of peanut to egg to protein. My pad thai was definitely a bit sweeter because I didn't add spice. If you can handle just a bit of spicy, like me, I would recommend a spice level of 3. The curry I ordered was rich in flavor as well. I don't think it was the best Thai curry I've ever had but it was pretty decent. The interior can get a bit hectic, especially if the restaurant is busy. You have to order yourself, seat yourself, pour yourself water, and put your own dirty dishes away. This can be chaotic if the inside is packed with people. Our table was a little dirty when we sat down - we had to clean in ourselves. Since the place was pretty full, our food took about 15min to prepare. Overall, delicious Thai food that is perfect for cheap cravings.
