Don't expect anything fancy- but be prepared for a wonderful meal. Server was attentive and friendly. Omg the fried avocado!!! Totally unexpected, and delicious. Cream cheese, red bell pepper, and avocado wrapped in nori, then deep fried. There is a coating on the outside- tempura? Comes with cucumber sauce. Must try! I had the basil stir fry. Ample portion. Partner had the drunken noodles. Again, nice portion size. Great flavors. Look for a small board on the wall that lists daily specials. Thermopolis Wyoming is not a huge metropolis, but that's what makes eating out fun. Thai doesn't come to mind when you think of food in Wyoming, but for as small as the restaurant is the flavor is huge! Everything is fresh and the spice is just right. I found this restaurant from Yelp and indeed the Thai food is very authentic. We ordered the Thai laksa bowl, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice ( this is a huge plate! ), red curry beef and mango sticky rice, and had a very enjoyable dinner. Pity we can only eat here once as we are leaving thermopolis after one night. Otherwise we are sure to be back. From what I can tell there are many locals who come here too, another sign that they have a good reputation for good food. read more

I have been here several times now and am consistently impressed by the flavor of the food. Granted, I usually get curries but they are all excellent. I am enjoying the panang curry with chicken right now and it is wonderful, with the right amount of spice, paired nicely with peppers, broccoli, carrots and basil. Traveling through the area after spending some times in the hot springs on our way to Yellowstone, I was hungry and tired and most certainly did not want to eat some burger or chicken sandwich for the 6th day in a row for dinner. I pull up Yelp expecting to find some shady Chinese joint or some more burger and chicken sandwich place. But no, I find Bangkok House!!! I was skeptical at best but I my son and I love Thai food, so we order some Pad Thai, spring rolls, and some crabmeat rangoon's. Pad Thai was excellent and they provided me with extra sauce to increase the heat to my liking. My son asked if he could finish mine. Spring rolls were nice and light and pretty standard. Crabmeat rangoons were just okay. Which was a bummer as we love them. At least the fried foods were not greasy or over cooked. I would recommend making sure to stop and try them out as you will not be disappointed. read more

Pretty sure they made the orange chicken sauce with fanta orange soda. The sauce smells, looks and tastes like it. The chicken lo mein smells like urine, and tastes pretty horrendous as well. Staff was friendly, service was great even there was little miscommunication for an order. Overall, the food was too sweet, and not flavorful at all. I ordered the lettuce wrap with minced duck, too much sugar and soy sauce kept getting on my nerves. And the basil tofu wasn't sure about its taste, fried tofu was sour(maybe not fresh) and the odd sauce was completely not harmonized with the other ingredients. The food here was absolutely excellent. I feel like it's a cross between Chinese and Thai though. We got the seafood padatay and it was phenomenal. The flavor of the sauce was fantastic. We also got the mango shrimp and the shrimp fried rice and both were excellent but the seafood padatay was our favorite. The seafood on all three dishes was cooked perfectly, very tender, the veggies were also perfectly cooked and the staff were very helpful and friendly and refilled my hot jasmine tea frequently. Per previous Yelpers suggestions, we ordered the pumpkin curry (medium hot) and the drunken noodles (medium), both with tofu. While the curry was my favorite of the two, both were delicious. Good food but terrible service. Waiter/owner made a mistake while taking the order. Upon realizing that the waiter never exactly took my order's protein choice correctly, well before the meal was delivered, I called the waiter and informed him about the same. Surprisingly enough the waiter just sheepishly smiled and informed me that "well my order was already made and there's nothing he can do". Heck, I would have paid the restaurant more if he added my protein choice on top of a veggie meal (even though the error was all on his end), yet he continued to sheepishly smile away and did nothing to fix the situation (not to mention restaurant is 500+% margin business. it would have not cost them much to give me my desired meal). Subsequently I told the waiter twice about the fact I was disappointed and yet the waiter did nothing to make amends. I suppose they are the only Thai restaurant in town so they feel they can get away with bad customer service. Disappointed!
