We were passing through town in route to hone after visiting Glacier National Park and Yellowstone. What a fresh wonderful menu! Had the Country Pad Thai and Shrimp Lo Mein. Both were prepared to perfection. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the Pad Thai was original, fresh and excellently spiced. We enjoyed this meal so much we think we may make the drive up to revisit the menu. A lot of variety here with friendly prompt staff. If you enjoy Thai you will not be disappointed! We headed to Thermopolis for the dinosaur museum (slight side trip returning to MT from CO.) We love Thai food, so ate here. Yum! The waitress was friendly, helpful, and very personable. The food was very good Thai food. We lived in SoCal for years, with multiple good Thai restaurants nearby to choose from. This was just as good as the best in Santa Barbara. I have eaten here frequently while visiting family in the area and have never been disappointed. The Nua Ka Ting, Mongolian beef, and pretty much any of the curry dishes are all very good. For dessert, the mango sticky rice is great. read more

Should have just picked up a frozen dinner at the local market as I thought while I was at the market picking up some items. However, I decided to try one of the two asian restaurants on the same block in Thermopolis. I picked the wrong one, as was my track record on the entire trip across the top of Wyoming to the Black HIlls of SD...by far the worst roadtrip food I've ever encountered, but that's another posting. As far as Bangkok Thai is concerned, first the hostess was a bit on the rude side as the restaurant was also empty on a Sunday evening. I ordered one dish, that being shrimp lo mein and she talked me into some fried pot stickers. When I got back to the hotel and opened up the food, the shrimp lo mein looked like someone took a bunch of watered down over cooked noodles and dumped some boiled shrimp on top...not a hint of any aroma of anything...and there wasn't any chop sticks or napkins or anything included. The pot stickers were edible (thank god) but the sauce was overly salted. Real bad food and take out service. read more

What a treat!!! We came to Thermopolis for a dinosaur dig and locals have this place high praise. We gave it a shot and it was a welcome change from the steady supply of burgers we'd had on the trip so far. Bangkok Thai's food was AMAZING! Really great, and the caliber you'd expect in a much larger city. Avocado curry and mango fried rice were new flavors to us and not to be missed! Yum! I have visited in Thermopolis Wyoming a couple times for classes, and went to Bangkok Thai for dinner with classmates. My measuring stick for any Thai restaurant is the Penang curry. I was delightfully surprised! The curry had great flavor, and just the right amount of heat. A classmate had the avocado curry, which was yummy, and I have never seen at a Thai restaurant before. I was very taken with "Mama"; (her welcome to my home/table manner), she was our server; she recommended; "you try Crispy Duck...you will like...". She did not lead me wrong...I have only one recommendation; I LOVE FISH SAUCE and would like to see it an addition to their condiments; straight-up or Americanized (reduced in strength w/sweet vinegar, garnished with crushed red peppers, Julienne carrot, garlic and a squeeze of lime juice) love this stuff for dipping and on my rice dishes. Based on the Yelp reviews, we decided to try Bangkok Thai for an early dinner. There was only one other occupied table but given our early time if arrival, that was to be expected. The place was small and it appeared to be clean. We were seated by a young lady who immediately gave us menus, water and a set a utensils. We decided to order the potstickers as an appetizer and my husband had a bowl of their flavorful wonton soup. For dinner we had the shrimp and asparagus that came with a side of rice and a plate of shrimp noodles. There was no disappointment!!! The food was delicious and the shrimp were HUGE! Main entrees run around $14-$18 and the appetizers run around $4-$8, but well with it! For the two of us, our bill was $47+tip. we were fortunate to happen upon Bangkok Thai on a road trip, 10 days camping and climbing up in Ten Sleep canyon, a dream trip. on a rainy day, we headed into Thermopolis for the Dinosaur Center and hot pools. finding Bangkok Thai was a real treat. everything was delicious, well prepared and served graciously. i loved the vegetables, cooked perfectly crisp-tender and every veggie bright and fresh. plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. my family (not vegans) also loved their dishes (a delicious curry and a noodle seafood dish). we wanted to return to Bangkok Thai, but sadly we didn't have enough time to make it back. Such a surprising find! Fantastic Thai and Vietnamese dishes in Thermopolis, WY. The owners bring in ingredients through a resourceful supply chain so that the food is authentic and knee weakening. What a surprise! I decide to take my father and son down what looks like the main street when we arrive on a late winter evening, and there's a Thai restaurant. They accede to my wishes. I've been eating tater tots at Sonic drive-ins. I'm a vegetarian. As soon as I spot it, I anticipate the veggies in some kind of spicy concoction. There's a Chinese place two doors down, but sometimes Chinese is all pork, chicken, beef and fish, even the rice. I'm not disappointed. Beyond the menu, which has plenty of curries, noodles and other choices, there's more than a dozen options on the specials board. I choose a spicy noodle dish with tofu. It's fresh. In the middle of winter with more than half the state's road closed I imagine. Each seasoning sings on my tongue, any oil, a mere heat conduit and unnoticeable. The waitress and owner is talkative and rightly proud of the food. She's eager for us to try different courses. We talk about our sons. The food's better than what I've had in Thai restaurant inundated Los Angeles. I'm so enamored that when I'm back on a surprise side trip, it's the first thing I think of, eating at Bangkok Thai. This time I have the mango curry. The mango blends into the curry in contrast to the snap of the peppers and carrots. Yum! For a town of this size you will be blown away by the quality of this authentic Thai food. Super fresh, not overcooked. Really fast service and hot to your table.
