Diana at BangZ did such a meticulously perfect job on my highlights and color! The low lights are perfect and golden contrasted spot on with a rich brunette color. I love the haircut too. In mid-August 2023 our son made an appointment over a week out for hair coloring prior to attending a comic con. On the 17th, Eileen texted a request to see a pic of his hair. 24 hours later she threatened to cancel the appointment if she didn't get a response. I was out of town (our son doesn't have a smart phone) and wrote back immediately stating I would be home the very next day and send the pic. Her reply: "I am sorry this is too uncomfortable for me and I am canceling the appt." (Apparently she had already given the appointment away). This was unfair, and I replied that she had wasted our time. This caused her a meltdown, as she replied, as follows: "Please include my repeating of my phone no 6 times-no response for hair pic-no response from the person called James and you also said you could not respond until tomorrow. Really? New people take advantage and don't show for appts. Do you honestly think I have done bad business with you?" ‍ This fictitious and bizarrely defensive attack was rude and uncalled for. She had only communicated twice but was wanting to hammer home she wanted nothing to do with our business. Our family and friends will not be making future appointments at Bangz for any services. read more

Really nice stylist with a relaxed professional atmosphere. They seem to be on the forefront of new products that felt lovely and smell amazing. I was very happy with my cut and style. Due to covid my hair had been growing for quite some time, and I have tried to grow it out a couple years in a row but it gets wierd as it gets longer. I have asked several stylists to feather it/layer it/ make everything blend together but nobody ever did. Dina gray is phenomenal with a razor. I give her full control over my cuts and colors and always leave extremely happy and I am complimented everywhere for my hair . Always handing out her cards and number to people . Her make up skills are beyond fantastic . She has a vision and always leaves me feeling beautiful and so stylish . Emily not only cut my hair to perfection, I went back and had her highlight it to cover some gray. I was nervous about doing it, but she put me at ease. The color was subtle and exactly what I asked for. The product she used didn't trash my hair either. It's just as soft and silky as it was before she worked her magic. Not impressed by the people or the hair cuts. My sister and I went, sat for 10 minutes waiting and not one person even acknowledged we were there. Our stylist was maybe having a bad day, she was not friendly at all. Not worth the drive from Red Bluff, the money or time. read more

I could not believe how good my hair looked after Diana, the owner of Bangz, finished cutting and coloring it. I have very curly hair that loves to bush out into an A shape which I have a hard time controlling even with a flat iron. Diana gave me layers that completely tamed my hair! I wash, air dry and use a flat iron on my hair every 3-4 days and get up every morning with hair that falls into place and looks sleek and smooth. The color is beautiful and very natural looking. Bangz is an average hair cutting salon but it is the best in Redding. It really depends on who you get to cut your hair. Some are fanstastic and some, not so much. read more

Dina is phenomenal. When I first moved to CA, it took quite awhile to find someone who listened to what I wanted and knew exactly what to do, while always giving me options to switch it up a little. I love Bangz! Diana is teriffic, always tries to accommodate a last minute and she does a great cut/color! They invested in special shampoo chairs that don't hurt your neck to get rinsed, and believe me, they're awesome! It's worth going to Bangz just for that. The shop is nicely decorated and comfortable, pleasant to the eyes with good lighting. The conversation is light and upbeat. Very nice! read more
