Banh Mi & Bubble Tea has been on my to go list for a while now. I stopped by on Sunday around 11:00am. There is plenty of parking spots right in front. The menu consists of banh mi sandwiches, bubble tea, and some small bites. A fridge full of drinks is by the order counter. There are only 3 tables with 4 seats inside. I ordered the Roasted Pork Sandwich ($7.50) Level 1 which comes with jalapeños. Level 0 is mild and Level 2 is Thai chili. I really enjoyed the roasted pork sandwich. It was very fresh and flavorful. The bread was crispy and it held everything really well together. My husband had the Special Combo Sandwich ($7.50), ube latte with tapioca pearls boba ($5.00), and crab rangoon ($1.00). The Special Combo Sandwich is a classic Banh Mi with cold cut ham, pork, chicken liver pate, mayonnaise, pickled daikon and carrots, fresh cucumber, black pepper, green chili and cilantro. The crab rangoon was bigger than other crab rangoons we've seen before. The ube latte came in a really cute cat cup. He enjoyed everything. Staff were very friendly and our food took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready. There is a 3.0% credit card surcharge. Prices are definitely affordable. I took another (two) visits to the shop last week. The first day, I had a delicious thai tea with boba + jelly of some sort. Great treat. Tried the roasted pork sandwich and took it to Roger Williams Park to eat. This was a truly incredible dinner... I was so satisfied and happy to appreciate such a great meal. Great banh mi place. Best in RI. Found this place when I was craving for banh mi since I missed banh mi at Ba Le, in Dorchester, MA. Not many options for authentic banh mi place in RI and i've tried them all but came to conclusion that this is the best so far in RI. Have been here many times and tried almost all of their menu except different types of bubble tea. My favorite is white ham and pate banh mi and Vietnamese style egg rolls. Their grilled pork or beef are also great if you do not prefer pate or cold cuts. They also provide options for spicy if you like spicy. Their bubble tea is okay I've had better ones from places that specialize in bubble tea only. Downside is that sometimes their sides have inconsistencies. Their egg rolls may be crispy and sometimes not and their pork bun is not fully cooked sometimes and can feel the dough still soft. Place is also pretty small so usually it's best to pick up. It can get crowded sometimes when a-lot of people come in. Overall it's a solid place and I do come back here time to time if I want banh mi. I've been coming to this banh mi place for almost four years, and the taste has never changed! They have three tables for seating. Their banh mi and mango slush are consistently excellent. Anyways, it's a sort of hole in the wall shop. There are few tables to sit inside. It has a homely vibe which is a good thing. The bubble tea/boba drinks are good! Basic, not super fancy, which is good because it's not wholly a boba shop. The tastes of the milk tea and Thai tea bobas are what they should taste like and the tapioca balls are generally good. If you like coffee and haven't tried it, you definitely should get the Vietnamese iced coffee. I might be biased because I grew up with it, but no coffee in life tastes as strong and yet deliciously sweet as Vietnamese coffee. This place nails it. We also got the special (dac biet) banh mi (with jalapeños because I am a spicy girl). It tastes great, and as expected! This is a nice lil spot hidden in Cranston. I've driven by it so many times and didn't even notice it. So glad I finally did! This place is a hidden gem with great sandwiches and apps and iced coffee and tea! The sandwiches are made with care and the flavors are on point. Just like for most others here, this is a favorite for me. Don't expect sweetness of service here as it is primarily a to-go place but do expect yummy treats and sandwiches. Came here for the first time based on a friends recommendation. I ordered 4 large drinks with1 topping and 1 medium with 2 toppings. We also ordered 6 bahn mi. I got 2 grilled chicken, 2 grilled beef, and 2 original cold cut (#23). At this point the bill is $72... what the heck? Drinks were $5 and sandwiches are $6. I can't figure out the math. And they don't give you a receipt after you pay. Not sure if bobas are included or not in the drink price. Ok so the cashier tells me at this point that I can now get a free sandwich. I wish I'd known earlier -- a sandwich earlier to be exact. I order a roast pork bahn mi. I know I have a big order. But I waited over 30 minutes. About 8 people who came after me got their food before mine was ready. Also they took a phone order while preparing my order and the pick up customer got their food before me. Sandwiches were pretty good. No complaints. The roast pork one was the best one and we all took like 1/5 of the sandwich lol. Bread was crusty but not super messy. Good amount of veggies and cilantro. I don't recall any jalapeño on any of the sandwiches. I can only speak for the 2 drinks that I tried. I had the lemon kumquat tea with peach popping bubbles. My son had a lychee milk tea with lychee jelly and peach popping bubbles. It had a perfumy taste which my son cannot tolerate. Mine had a less pronounced perfume taste. Also I think the shape of the cups is not totally compatible with the drink holder. The bottoms are a very rounded dome shape. When they handed me the drink tray (5 drinks- 1 in the middle) 2 of the drinks threatened to fall out before I could even bring it to the table that we are waiting at. Although no one waited as long as I did (while I was there) there was a couple who decided that they waited long enough and they left without ordering. They have other snack foods for sale like spring rolls, egg rolls, red bean sesame balls, pork buns, rainbow jelly dessert drinks, and refrigerated drinks. The dining area has three 4 seated tables. The table were were at had the table pushed all the way to the wall so I don't know how you would fit in. Even if you moved the table back it's very tight with your back to the people at the next table. The seating arrangement might be different once the Christmas tree is taken out. There are very few places that serve banh mi in Providence, so when I heard about Banh Mi & Bubble Tea, I was excited to try something different from my usual go-to, Asian Bakery and Fast Food. The first time I visited, I ordered the grilled pork sandwich. It was a pretty standard banh mi. I enjoyed the sauce, but something was a little off about the bread. It wasn't as crusty and crunchy as fresh banh mi bread normally is. This past time, I got a strawberry smoothie and the roasted pork sandwich. I often forget that "roasted pork" is synonymous to char siu on the mainland. The smoothie was incredibly sweet, almost medicinally so. The pork was subpar. The fatty portion wasn't tender, it was rubbery. Plus, there was so much green onion packed in there, the sandwich could almost be labelled as spicy... not because of jalapeños, but because of green onions! I really wanted to like Banh Mi & Bubble Tea since it is such a small, homey, and affordable food stop. However, based off of my previous two visits, I'm not necessarily jumping at the opportunity to return. I read in a few different reviews that they do, in fact, serve bún (Vietnamese noodle dish), so if I do ever find myself there again, I will have to try it. read more

They can just sell the bread... The veggies were crisp but definitely not much pickle to them and I did not detect my favorite ingredient, daikon, in there. Also they can skip or lighten the spread of the unsalted, super fatty pate/butter that was over generous and over powering. I want to start by giving snaps to this business for opening during a pandemic. That is not an easy thing to do, but they make it look easy!
