Probably one of the only good options of Banh Mi around the area - though their hours close shortly right after 9-5 work hours. But a great option to swing on by for lunch or get through Uber eats. Their buns are crumbly and tasty and they don't hold back on the meat filling for the banh mi. The pickled carrots and cilantro balance the meat marinade wonderfully and make this snack/meal feel less guilty to devour as their ingredients are fresh! Their kimchi fries used to hit the spot but not sure if I had a one off experience where they didn't give enough sauce or kimchi. It just felt like regular fries with a light drizzle of their special mayo that left most of the fries just "regular fries". Still one of my faves in the area though!

This isn't the first time i have had a meal from this restaurant, and both times have been magnificent. I ordered the beef bao, kimchi fries, and the pork belly bao. The kimchi fries were delicious, and even though it was a takeout order, the fries were not soggy at all. The beef bao was extremely stuffed and very tender. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

A highly recommended local spot for Vietnamese Banh Mi! Finally got the chance to order from here and I can't wait to come back. One recommendation: call in advance for takeout so you're not waiting too long I ordered the Grilled Beef Banh Mi which was $7.50 and I can honestly say it was a 10/10!! So much flavour and was a foot long bun, so I'd say the cost and quality was worth it. There aren't many Bahn Mi spots in Scarborough, but this place is definitely a new go-to spot.

Tasty sandwiches and reasonably priced! We were disappointed desserts were not served when we visited....but we acknowledge it's due to having less business during lockdown and all. Was happy with the cane juice pressed in front of you (frozen canes). ....Check out their seasoned beef poutine while you're there!

That Bao tho. Wowwwwww. Moist, tender, fall apart in your mouth delicious! The pickled carrots were delish and the cilantro offered a pop of freshness. They were not stingy with the beef which was nice to see! This restaurant shares a common seating area with Pho Metro but they have different ordering counters Overall: Bahn Mi Metro: 5/5 Can't wait to try the chicken Bao and the Bahn Mi!!

Banh Mi Metro is a great spot to fill your banh mi craving! Over our several visits, we ordered the grilled beef banh mi, cold cut banh mi, barbecue pork bao, and the kimchi fries with beef. The banh mi was generously filled with grilled beef and packed with a ton of flavour! The pickled veggies, cucumber, and cilantro are always a good complement to the cold cut meat. The bao was soft and was the perfect fluffy vessel for some juicy pork. I found the kimchi fries could have been a bit more crispy, but it could be that it became soggy on the ride back home. Definitely a great side to your choice of banh mi or bao though. I would recommend this spot if you're looking to try some yummy sandwiches!

Tried the pork belly bao today. It was delicious and made me want more! The pork belly was tender and flavourful! There was also a good amount of vegetables. I enjoyed this thoroughly. Price wise, it was $5.50. Service was a little slow. Waited for 20 minutes for this order to be ready. Considering there were not many customers there, seemed to be a bit slow. But with that being said, the staff was polite and courteous. I will definitely return and look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Tried the grilled pork belly which was okay but I felt the meat could have been more plentiful. Filling banh mi with lots of fresh carrots, cucumber, and cilantro and flavourful sauce. Bread was slightly toasted, fresh and chewy. Overall just okay based on this one sandwich, but would be willing to try other banh mis for more comparison. They have a great selection of desserts so hoping to eventually try some of them!

This sandwich shop is attached to Pho Metro and has a separate entrance, but you can also access it from either side. The sandwiches are made to order, with many to choose from. We decided on the lemongrass chicken and bbq pork. At first glance, I wasn't able to see the pork or chicken, since it was completely covered with carrots, cucumbers and coriander. The bread was crusty, and held up well, however, I found the sauce too sweet for my taste. Perhaps it was an off day, but I found the meats to be surprisingly skimpy. Prices are okay, and the sandwiches were tasty. There are plenty of parking spots in the front, side and back of the plaza.

I love ordering take out from this place! It's a super convenient spot to grab some food to go, and everything is pretty cheap. I really like the pork belly bao and the grilled beef bao. The meat is always very flavourful and tastes delicious in a bao. The kimchi fries are also good as is, but I would recommend getting some pork or beef on top as it starts tasting kinda plain after a while. If you want to try some dessert I would also recommend the flan. It's about $3 and it's really good. Perfect pudding texture, and not too sweet. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the lemongrass chicken bao. I felt like the chicken was too firm and didn't go well with the bao because the bao was too soft. The chicken ended up ripping the bao in half, but maybe it would've been better in a banh mi instead.

This place is a hidden gem. I love their bbq pork banh mi - the meat is flavourful and i'd say they put the right balance of meat and veggie (carrot and cucumber). The sauce that they add to everything is great too. I also tried their beef kimchi fries - it could've used a bit more meat and kimchi but overall still super flavourful especially with the sauce and I liked their fries. Bring cash so you can get 10% off. 2 banh mi's and the fries only ended up being around $25, can't go wrong with that price.

Went here for lunch, and was surprised to see how busy they were, considering the area they are on is surrounded with a lot of restaurants. The staff was very friendly and quick to turnover tables, which is essential for a pho and banh mi place. We ordered the pork belly banh mi, steamed pork belly baos and kimchi fries. Pork belly banh mi: was very delicious, the bread had a crunch in every bite, pork belly was cooked to perfection, and the veges were tasty. Steamed pork belly baos: was also very good, it was overflowing with veges and the pork belly. I found eating the baos was a little bit messy. A lot of the stuffing just ended up on my plate. Kimchi fries: was good, the combination of the kimchi and fries was really delicious. My only complaint is that the fries was not as good as i expected it to be. It tasted like your regular frozen fries you buy in the grocery store. On its own, the fries is not good, but the kimchi elevates the flavour when they are combined. Overall the experience was excellent, would definitely come back and try their pho. Food was exceptionally good and staff was friendly.

They also have pho, rice, and vermicelli dishes as well. Washrooms are located downstairs which are not accessible. They only accept cash (with a 10% cash discount) or debit. I previously have had Anh Dao for take out before - their pork sausages (nem nuong) are delicious and perfect when you wrap them with vermicelli and fresh herbs. Even when I got take out, the restaurant gives you plenty of fresh ingredients to create your own fresh rolls. I recently went to Anh Dao for lunch to dine in at the restaurant on a Friday around 12:30pm. The place was pretty quiet as it seemed like I was their first customer that day. During my time there, there was another party of 2 that also came in to eat lunch. I opted for the house special soup pho ($19.95). Service was friendly and my food came at a reasonable time after I ordered. The house special pho included slice rare beef, beef brisket, beef balls, and tripe. The soup was slightly sweet with a nuttier flavour. The noodles were unfortunately not the fresh kind but there were ample beef ingredients in the bowl of pho for the price you are paying. I love how in addition to siracha and hoisin sauce, there is also ground up chili sauce as well as a pickled sliced garlic and jalapeno pepper mixture at the table. Moreover, you get bean spouts, a red chili pepper, fresh herbs, and lime that you can add to your pho broth. Overall, a tasty bowl of pho where the quality of the beef was good. Anh Dao is a tasty option for Vietnamese food in the College and Spadina area. Definitely do try their meat platters as they are quite delicious!

Everything was just boiled and dumped in a water-downed soup base. The least they can do is use broth and dump it in the seafood tomato based soup. This was a 9pm dinner.
