I experience the same thing twice. I'm not sure what product she uses but it takes it a very long time to tint my eyebrows, twice as long as other places. I also had her to do eyelashes. This was my first time coming to Bani's. I came for a Brazilian wax for my very first time, and WOW was it painful! At first, I wasn't very satisfied with the results, but she suggested (not to get into too much detail) that my skin is very sensitive and didn't want to hurt that area. Bani is super nice, gentle, suggestive and very knowledgeable about threading and waxing. The shop is very small and clean, but it has all of the services as advertised. Although I wasn't completely satisfied with the results (maybe because it was my first time ever getting a Brazilian wax), I will definitely come back to see how the next wax turns out. Went on Oct 29, 2022 to get lashes. The lashes on one eye were hanging off on the corner. When I noticed this, the shop was closed. I came back today, Monday, Oct 31st and the lash has totally came off. She then tells me that my lashes were thin and that they wouldn't hold which is why she added so much glue. So that was $25 wasted! She uses too much Glue! Go elsewhere or you'll be sorry! read more

Wow. This was my first time at Bani's, coming in for Brazilian wax. This is also my first time ever writing a bad review. I've never experienced a experience like this before, EVER so I'm still in shock. She claims she's been in business for 20+ years . That may be true, but definitely not experienced with body wax. The owner did a decent job with my eyebrows. They weren't spectacular because I was looking for more of an arch, but she didn't take too much off, which is why I'm overall pleased. I feel a lot less insecure about how my eyebrows were starting to look because I was growing them out. Now I have a shape and can continue to grow them out to be thicker. read more

I naturally have thick brows and today she made them extremely too thin and on side is thinner than the other. Needless to say I'm not a happy camper. Instead of every two weeks i have to wait 3 to 4 weeks to give my brows time to grow back.. grrr...perhaps i will go back after that or just take my butt all the way to highland il to get a decent natural threading. Went to Bani's for the first time simply because her prices were reasonable. The set up is small but appropriate for the services she provides and plenty of parking behind the salon. She listened to my request to keep my eyebrows thick and to maintain the arches. She also corrected the uneven gap left by the previous person. After she completed my eyebrows and upper lip, I double checked and she was happy to go over the missed area (didn't make me feel guilty for asking.. Lol). For now, I will give her 4 stars and update my review (if needed) when I go back. read more

Bani is just lovely. Not to mention that she did a great job threading my eyebrows. I also got an herbal facial done and my skin is super smooth, albeit a bit red from all the exfoliants. I'm glad that I finally decided to try this place after moving into the neighborhood over a year ago. She's a sweet yet professional lady. Omg where to begin this was the worst experience everyday. I asked for just tint and requested she use brown henna. Simply because that's what I always get. I didn't have enough time to go to my regular place plus I wanted to try an eyebrow place closer to my house. I asked her what did she use on my face? I have a patch missing on my brow and my face broke out in hives. Why because she used black henna! I asked for brown. There's a difference. I stick with what I know for my face! She said I use a medium??? What no it's either black or brown not both. Here's the kicker she tried to clean my face off, she handed me the mirror like I'm finished, I noticed the hives and now swelling. Do you like it? Are you going to pay me? What!!! How about call 911? Never again. I'm okay. Went to the urgent aid that was 2 minutes away they gave me Benadryl and hydrocortisone cream and told me to be careful/ watch my face for the next 24 hours. read more

I got my eyebrows threaded here and she just rushed it because she had other customers then she kept saying upper lip too. I had asked for a Brazilian and theres just a screen not even a proper room it was not a comfortable place at all. Then to top it off there was a creepy old man sitting at the counter peeping through the gap of the screen where i was getting my wax. I was dying to get out of that shabby place not professional at all . Would not recommend it at all. read more
