Today I cheated on my eyebrow girl and tried blink for the first time. She was not kind at all, she was on the phone the whole time. She was so rough with me. I always get my eyebrows threaded but this time it hurt. I also got them tinted and the color looked green. The shape was okay. I don't think I'll ever come back. Total was $20

DO NOT GO here!! I have been getting my upper lip threaded for YEARS and I've never been cut up as much. Initially thought it was only a small cut but she cut me in multiple places with skin completely off in one of the spots and still didn't get all the hair. It was painful (not normal) and I didnt bother to get all the hair removed after checking since she already cut me. Avoid this place!! I will never be coming back, already regretting checking it out as it was close to work for me. If you live in the oak lawn area, go to Sita Beauty Care instead!

You better read this review. Don't get your eyebrows tinted her don't do it, and if you do not let the older lady in the shop do them. Don't believe those pictures they are make believe. This was the worse service I have ever received. I can't speak for the threading BUT don't let that older lady give you eye lashes or eyebrows. I should have left the young lady but I though she knew what she was doing, and she don't. Both lashes lasted 3hours. She just stuck my lashers on and went and waited on two other people and she was about to do it again she was trying to grab all the money and not playing accurate attention to her customer/s already in the chair. I ended up leaving out. I went in for a facial. They told me they wouldn't accept the yelp coupons. That's odd/ they're available on the yelp page. whatever, that's fine. I went back for my facial. I took one look at the products they're eye planning on using and said never mind. It was massage cream- that she wanted to put on my face. No thank you. I guess you get what you pay for $55/60 minute facial. read more

I swear this woman makes up rules as she goes.. I forgot my punch card at home and she told me "don't worry I'll remember you for next time, take a new card"- she punched my new card and I left. I came back a week or so later and she explains "oh we no longer combine punch cards"- so I wasn't able to get a free eyebrow thread. Okay whatever. No big deal. I came in today to finally get my free eyebrow thread and I swear you'd think I stole from this woman. She was CLEARLY upset that I pulled out my punch card to get my free thread. It was soooo uncomfortable. Why even offer the free service?! Never coming back. Word of advice, make your customers feel appreciated for coming enough times to receive a free service! read more

This place is fast and very affordable. They do both waxing or threading depending on what you want. The owner is not overly friendly but nice enough. The atmosphere looks very clean and I appreciate there is parking close and convenient. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

Received a Brazilian wax. My skin is burned and irritated. I have been getting wax for approximately 9 years. Never had an incident like this . The owner is extremely quick. The wax area is fairly clean. Cost before tip is average $45. Will not return. read more

Horrible place. I told the woman to not scalp my eyebrows, that she was pressing too hard and she completely ignored me. She was on the phone the whole time then she decided to turn on her charm when it was time to tip her. My eyebrows were completely swollen and even had a lil bits of blood from how swollen they were. I was looking for a threading salon since none are open yet in Chicago. Based upon an old recommendation, my daughter and I drove over there and it was a total waste of time! The "threader" butchered our brows. Stay away - far, far away from this place! She didn't ask about our shape preference and left me with a small bald spot over my right brow. I'm done with these "corner mall" threading salons and will search for one where there is proper lighting, and polite customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot give a negative star rating! read more

Vanita made my eyebrows so thin and was hurting me and didn't even apologize. I will never go there again ! She left hair and seemed as if she was in a rush . I will be going to perfect threading which is down the street from there . I know she was very busy and frustrated but that doesn't mean you take it out on your customers . read more

If I could give this salon zero stars I would. I went in for a Brazilian wax and the room was really dirty and unkempt. The technician did not take her take and I was in terrible pain. After I left I was bleeding and she took off a ton of my skin. It was so irritated and burned! Do not go here for wax please. It was not worth the money at all. read more

For the first year, my experience was mostly consistent. Unfortunately, uneven brows became more of a regular occurrence requiring a change. I'm not happy with today's service. First time I came here my eyebrows were great, today I came in for a full face wax. Absolutely no attention to detail, I ended up having to pluck more at home. My skin is burned from the wax being too hot. I asked not to have my forehead done because I thought it was unnecessary and I received a rude comment regarding the amount of hair I have. Once she proceeded, I had no choice with the wax already on my skin. Never coming back here again. read more

I'm a returning customer, although I did take a break due to the covid pandemic. I'm always satisficed with my eyebrows(satisfied this visit too) she never disappoints. I just think that she needs to work on her customer service. She was rude, and you can tell she had an attitude because the women that she was servicing before me kind of tried to give a hard time. Word to the wise, if you want people to keep coming back to you please treat every customer like an individual. I'm sorry that you had a bad day, but all customers are not the SAME! Its so many other eyebrow places in the neighborhood, BUT I CHOSE BLINK. The comfort of her clients is one of her main concerns throughout every session. She will ask you frequently regarding the pain levels and if you need to take any breaks. Reem always made sure I was feeling okay and comfortable in her chair. Even provided extra towel to make me feel comfortable being plus size in her chair. I will say after my second session of hair laser removal I saw instant results. My hair was much softer and barely seen any. Every session we communicated about our target points and focus point as well as any updated results. Recently, I went to see Reem for a custom facial... WOW!...I'm still lost of words of how amazing it was! It was relaxing ... room filled with the essential oils, the bedding and robe smelled oh so fresh and the suite was so clean (and sanitized!) The hot towel and beautiful mist helped not only clear out my black heads and white heads but it also made my face so glowy and smooth! My face never felt so hydrated! Wrapping up with some ice rollers and a massage and pressure points which helped put me in the most uplifted mood! During all and every session; Reem continues to provide me with guidance and product recommendations that helped me during my self care regime at home. Don't go here for henna! Then when I asked for black henna some excuse was given, but then they "found" some black cones. They said the black henna is more expensive when it's actually not. I have the same cones they used and they're cheap, the color doesn't last long either. My design came out nothing like the picture it was so ugly and sloppy I cried. I ended up only getting 1 hand done that's how bad it was. I paid $25 and it's already fading into brown after 1 shower. Better off using stencils and doing it yourself at home.

I was nervous to try the eyebrow threading as I had previously had it done at a different place and it was extremely painful. I gave Vanita a shot at them and haven't had a single regret! She is quick, its painless, and she does such a great job! I have also gotten two facials from her which were both positive experiences. My mother was in town for the weekend from downstate IL, she was open to trying the eyebrow threading. Once again, Vanita did a stellar job. Highly recommend this business! Affordable and fair prices. The only suggestion I have is if you're looking to get a facial, call ahead and schedule an appointment as Vanita only has additional help part-time, so many days she is there by herself. read more

I have been going to Blink regularly for over a year. After many trials and errors at other places, I will only go to Blink for eyebrows. Vanita is great! She is fast and does an excellent job.
