After dealing with this service department TWICE within 3 months (Dec. 2025 and April 2026) for the same issue, and having NO customer advocacy from the manager with CarShield, I will never recommend this company to anyone. I was told they couldn't work with CarShield. I wrote emails to CarShield and Banister. Requested the service manager to share that the arbitrary 120,000 maintenance service required by CarShield was NOT in the Dodge manual nor on their website. She's at a Dodge dealership. How hard would it be to help? After spending $2,000 at Banister, going back and forth with Banister and CarShield, my car died. Not spending $4,000 for their fix. Bought a truck, first day driving the Advanced Emergency Braking light came on...talked to Phil U. the GM and Robert the Sales guy, they assured me the light would go off after driving for a while as the battery needed charging. Light didn't and hasn't gone off: took to a trusted local shop by my house, they ran the computer diagnostics and it came back as a faulty electric vacuum pump that is crucial to the brakes. I have called and texted Phil over 7x with no response: talked to Robert and he said he would ask Phil if they would help with the cost of the repair...crickets, no call back, no text back. These guys are very shady. Stand up and a be a man, take care of your customers, it's not that hard. Highly doubt they will do the right thing and help with the cost of the repair. DO NOT PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE FROM BANSITER DEALER. Here's my experience: I'm George from Fort Lee, VA. I emailed the Banister dealer to configure my car and asked Mr. Robert for the price of the Jeep I built. He sent an invoice for $66,500, and we scheduled a meeting for Saturday at 12:00 PM to discuss the details. On Saturday at 9:00 AM, while I was at church, Banister called to remind me of the appointment and left a text and a voice message because I did not answer. After church, I dealt with a family emergency and completely forgot about the appointment with the dealer. Around noon, I received a call from Banister, who said that if I purchased the vehicle that day, I would receive a $10,000 gift card. This sounded unbelievable, so I contacted my wife. She expressed doubt but mentioned that the call was recorded. I then called Banister to verify the offer. The Jeep manager told me, "If you are going to purchase today, we will give you a $2,000 discount." I agreed to go in to secure the discount. However, when I arrived, they said, "Oh, sorry, we meant if you're going to purchase today, not to order." They were fully aware that I was placing an order for a Jeep Rubicon X, as I had built it via email. It was clear they were manipulating the situation. They promised me the discount upon delivery instead. Despite their dishonesty, I decided to continue. Mr. Robert offered me a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X for $66,600. My wife saw the price and told me, "No way, that price is too high." I then informed Mr. Robert and the sales manager that I would consider it and return later. They subsequently lowered the price by $200 to $65,400, including a military discount. After I paid a $500 down payment, Mr. Robert took both paper copies I provided, but only gave me a receipt for the deposit. I had to leave quickly due to a family emergency. When I called him later, Mr. Robert apologized for his behavior and emailed me the receipt after I called and texted him several times. On the same day, the Deacon dealer contacted me and offered an outdoor price of $63,500 for an identical Rubicon X. I reached out to Mr. Robert to request a price adjustment. However, he ignored my emails, texts, and phone calls. When I called the sales manager, he was rude and mocked me when I asked for the $2,000 discount, or I would cancel the deal. The sales manager requested the invoice from the other dealer, which I provided, but he also asked for the dealer's name and additional information. I refused to disclose that. He then called me a liar and, when I asked for a refund of my $500 deposit, he declined, saying I would lose it. To Banister, I recommend taking a close look at the Deacon dealer's invoice. You can also contact them for confirmation. My advice is this: you clearly lack an understanding of respect and customer service. I hope you learn from your mistakes. I have refunded $500. Unfortunately this dealership has gone way down hill. Our previous review was glowing when Cannon was working there and apparently paying attention. But we will never return!!! So our first good experience, they helped us out and we purchased a new engine and overpaid for it and they installed it. The process was long but we felt respected. We don't drive the car that often and we noticed an oil leak. It turned out if the brand new engine appeared to have a used part on it, the oil filter housing another mechanic who looked at the car clearly said that doesn't look like the part that came with the engine and everything else is brand new, and that is clearly an old part. It was obvious when the engine was put in the oil filter housing that came with the engine went to someone else and the oil filter housing from our original engine was put on vehicle. I highly suggest if you have any repairs done here you ask to have all of your old parts shown to you or return to you. we also had the front left tire pressure sensor replaced that was in April now it is October and since June the tire pressure sensor has not worked. We brought the vehicle to them for the oil leak and the tire pressure sensor the replacement of the oil filter housing was covered under warranty and they admitted the tire pressure sensor was a faulty part and claimed to have replaced it again now it's October 23 and we pick the car up tire pressure sensor does not work. We picked it up right at closing and got 4 miles down the road to find out it did not work. But let me illustrate this experience we bring the car to them ask for a synthetic oil change since they're replacing the oil filter housing even though the car is only gone 1000 miles on its new engine we decided to change oil. The vehicle was there for an inspection since we had it in there. It wasn't due until December. they told us it passed inspection & the oil filter housing tire pressure center had been replaced. We were ready to go pick the car up when they said oh but we found a problem. Your driveshaft bearing fails inspection we haven't scraped the sticker off yet when by law, the first step in a Virginia state inspection is the scrape the sticker so they're a shady operation. We said OK. They said we've already talked to your extended warranty company and they've approved the repair. we have $100 deductible so that's not bad $20 for an inspection 80 something dollars for an oil change and another hundred dollars for the deductible $200 & taxes and maybe another fee here or there like the processing charge. they call us back and tell us that our warranty company will not approve replacing the bearing that they're going to send them a brand new driveshaft with bearing and then it's due Friday instead of two weeks for the dealer part. That was Monday morning on Friday. I called to check to see if the park got there. They said no on Friday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday until we called the warranty company back to learn it was received and signed for by somebody named Kim on Thursday a day earlier than promised and they had no idea with our last name written right on the packaging. And when we called Nobody from Service had even told them that they were looking for a Part and they found it with our name on it. so we call back we're told the car is ready and that they didn't call us because the service advisor there was assigned to us was not there. They were just waiting on payment from the warranty company so we called the warranty company who says they'll expedite the payment fast-forward several hours later of them telling us they didn't receive payment in the #Warranty company confirmed that the payment was emailed to the email address provided by the dealer, which turns out to be the service advisor that was not there two minutes after we spoke with them at 11:37 AM. They wait until they really wouldn't be time if we followed the speed limit to get to them before they close to call us and tell us that they were able to get into that Service advisor's email and confirm that payment details have been sent. We got jerked around and of course then they want $780 from us so I called the warranty company back. We look over the invoice that they sent the warranty company since they haven't sent us anything and they double billed us for labor and some other charges that made no sense so we called back and yelled at them for that and they got that fixed while we were on our way to pick the car up in the end taxes and all included we paid $371 not $780 but how do we not argued with it they would've just taken money and double charge us 4 miles down the road the tire pressure sensor in the same tire doesn't work. We are in Richmond they are in Hampton. We will not be returning, but need to figure out the tire pressure sensor issue read more

The so called sales associate shouted all the customer's personal business all across the lobby, his financial information, talking about him as a person etc. This so called sales person was walking through the establishment shouting the customer's intent, the vehicle to be purchased, the amount of the down payment loudly while cracking jokes etc. instead of sitting at the desk like a mature adult trying to sell a vehicle, he was too busy trying to humiliate the customer to get laughs from the other idiots that work there!!! No manager came to the front lobby to garner control to save the sale, rectify the situation, reprimand the employee for being disrespectful and unprofessional or offer an apology! He did nothing to quell it at all! If -100 was a rating...DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! First ever purchase of a vehicle on October 26, 2024, my credit score was high enough to purchase vehicle without income being acquired. The sales manager Estuardo Gutiérrez structured the loan incorrectly, making it impossible to obtain different vehicle. After taking the 2020 Chevy Trax home, the cooling fan constantly ran draining the battery, the side mirror needed replacement, and painted, as well as issue with tire pressure. I returned to dealership the next day (10/27/24) to advise Banister of issue (sat from 9am-6pm) after being told by store manager Phil that vehicle would be towed from my residence and would work it out to obtain a different vehicle from Banister Norfolk. I received a rental for approximately 4 days, after receiving call that the issue was resolved (relay replaced) only to go back home and fan drained battery again. 10/31/24 I called OnStar to charge battery, went to Norfolk Banister for service after constantly calling Hampton location. I then was put into another rental until 11/15/24, while vehicle was sent Rick Hendricks Chevrolet to resolve issue. Picked up vehicle on 11/15/24 at 7pm, only to return vehicle on 11/20/24 due to air system issue for as service light for engine came on, painting of driver side mirror and tire pressure issue. Again, another rental vehicle, received call from Loyalty Service manager 11/27/24 @ 9am stating he ordered the part, and vehicle would be done by end of day. LMAO. I PURCHASED A LEMON, and at this point have filed several complaints with store managers at both locations, BBB, consumer agency, etc. Only to be told by managers "We put you in a rental and we going to make it right." Phil is rude and very unprofessional as he speaking to a salesperson when concerns was once again brought to his attention stating "What is her problem? What is her issue? And only to send back to Norfolk Banister where vehicle was not purchased from to resolve issues. Additional fee of $1,999 added for services for towing, extra key etc., that is not the powertrain warranty. I have contacted a lawyer due to issues within the first 30-45 days of purchase of vehicle as stated within loan agreement. GET IT RIGHT BANISTER CDJR HAMPTON. I hope you consider this review and conclusions concerning this business. This business really concerns me and other consumers who come here. Specifically, this review is about the service providers and their consistent inability to keep customers informed of the status of your vehicle. I based this review on being a customer here for over 15 years. If I could rank this review with a negative score, I would. This decision is not just based on this visit, but many more over a 15 year period in which I've done a review on Yelp or Google reviews detailing my experience. Again, this "opinion" is based on being a customer for over 15 years. For further details, please see my previous reviews. This review is based on those and this recent visit broke the bank in my opinion and concluded that this business is NOT RECOMMENDED by me as a seasoned reviewer. After many visits, speaking with old management and new, dealing with many different service providers. The issue that I and other customers have addressed to this business over the years simply has not been addressed. The place is overbooked, the service providers are not properly trained, and the biggest is communication to their customers. Had a service provider simply picked up the phone and called, it would have saved me a lot of money on multiple visits to find out the state of my vehicle. This visit resulted in taking the advice of recommended services by the service providers. I called them, made an appointment, and told them the service needed for my wife's car about a week ago based on their recommendations and scheduled an appointment. After taking the day off, dropped the vehicle off early, taking my wife to work. Giving them a full day to work on the vehicle and after all that, my vehicle was still not ready. I was told about a problem they were trying to discover, but they never recommend it. The car not being ready, I didn't have a problem with the vehicle not being ready, my problem was they never called me to give an update. Had they done so, I could have planned accordingly. But they did not give me this opportunity. So I called, was told my service advisor was not available but she'll call me back - they never did, as they have failed to do so many times before. I can only imagine the trouble they would have saved had they done so. Again, please read my previous reviews. Fast forward, I recommend this. SAY AWAY FROM SERVICE OF YOUR VEHICLE at this location. Just bought this beautiful 2021 Ram Rebel 1500 a few weeks ago, everything was pretty straight forward customer service was friendly, attentive, responded to all questions. Folks here are very knowledgeable and they have some of the best prices around the area. After buying 3 cars at Pocomo in NN, I think I found a new trustworthy dealership, would come back to shop again in the future. Def recommend! Hope oil changes, state inspections, maintenances and other services they offered are as smooth as the buying process, thats usually where most dealerships fail to deliver. Edit: 10/06/23 called it, like most dealerships once u purchase the car they do not care abt you at all... so came in for my first service/oil change and to check a whinning noise when accelerating also to buff off some scratches that were on the truck when I bought it. My Sales guy & the manager exact words "we will have those scratches buffed out and taken care of for you when u come for your first service, also we will fill up your tank since we cant find our card at the moment". So, they couldnt fix the noise which is fine but it took them 10 hours to tell me they couldnt, dropped off at 830am left at 530pm that's insane like what did y'all do all day ? Didn't do anything abt the scratches bcus the guy who works on that only goes on Thursdays, which was not communicated to me and apparently sales guy and the manager that PROMISED those services to me dont work there anymore. So I would have to pay out of pocket $1500 to get it fixed and they also denied to fill up my tank. Well the appointment date and time comes and we travel 30 miles for this location because we only want Chrysler to work on the Chrysler 2018 Pacifica we have and they always say we don't have an appointment even though we made an appointment. Unfortunately this dealer epitomizes the stereotype some have of sleazy car salesmen. Been working hard to find truck to fit both my needs and budget and thought I found it. Got my internet price of 47k and called to talk to the sales manager. Had a great conversation about the truck and asked him to send me the out the door price so I could start the buying process. Told him that I was really happy with the advertised price and he said he would send the info I requested. Boy was I surprised when the sales price was about 7k more than the internet price. Apparently the price they list takes in all rebates that most do not qualify for. He failed to mention that during our call. That was BEFORE taxes and everything else I expect to be added on. When I asked about the difference in price I was told "Everybody advertises like that" and "It's in our disclaimer." The disclaimer only states prices are subject to change and incentives may be added. Bait and switch at its finest. I had to take a shower after listening to the explanation. Went in to check out a vehicle that I saw on their site and the sales person had me give them my information. After giving them my information they stated that they didn't have the vehicle because it was at their Franklin location. I checked out the inventory that they did have on lot. They gave me a credit check authorization form and I told them that I didn't want to sign it until I saw a vehicle that I actually wanted. I didn't see a vehicle that I wanted, so I asked if I can take the form home so if I do want to proceed later I can sign when I'm ready to purchase. They stated that they can't allow me to take the form and that it will be shredded. A few hours later I see that they ran my credit anyway without authorization from me. If I could give this company negative stars, I would. This was the WORST experience I've ever had in my life. They are extremely unprofessional and a bunch of liars. When I bought my car I told the sales man there was something wrong with the tire. When I went to picked up the car I asked if they fixed the tire, they lied and said they did. They then told me to take it to Mazda to fix the issues that arose as I was driving off the lot and that they would pay the cost of everything. Mazda fixed one of the issues (covered by MY WARRANTY) and told me there was a nail in the tire (what I told them). I went to get a new tire at Winners Circle and they told me they would have to order it and it would be put on my car within two days, free of charge. It has now been over 2 weeks and they never ordered the tire and continue to lead me on. I've called them every single day to see if anyone will do their job and they haven't. They told me today that they were not going to order the tire and to go to Winners Circle Nissan to get one instead. They said because of the management change (now The New Banister Chrysler Dodge Jeep) they would not call ahead to ensure everything would be taken care of but that I would need to do so. My concern is with the service department. I went there with a coupon that was sent to my email that had my vin on it. As I was checking out the service advisor told be they could only mark the maintenance down $100 and my total bill was $275 so my balance was $175. I showed the coupon and told them that is not how coupons work. So they had to get the manager to over ride the deal. If I was a non confrontational person they would have not honored the store issued coupon and walked off with an additional $75. They also told me my tires had feathering on the fronts. The tires were rotated less than 100 miles ago. So yes they were trying to upcharge. Do not recommend the service department at all. The dealer that sold be the truck did a good job. read more

Horrible, dishonest dealership buyers, beware. The advertised price is a switch bait tactic. They charged me $500.00 for Low Jack, saying it was already installed. When I received no information from Low Jac, I called and was informed the dealership had canceled the order. I was never issued a refund. It took several days to deliver the vehicle with only one key and no front tag holder. It was delivered by a salesman who had only been working there for two days. It was 2.5 hours late. A customer testing driving a vehicle brought him to our office, but the customer had to leave. So we had to wait another 45 minutes for his Uber to arrive. I was charged $1,000 for Cal Tex Protective Coatings, which I did not want and was told was free. These were just a few of their dishonest business practices. I had been trying to contact this dealer to purchase a new grand Cherokee for days. I wanted a one with a set of options that is hard to find and they had one at winners circle. They email and when I respond they stop messaging. I called and was told the salesperson working on my sale would call me back "in two minutes". It's been five days and I'm still waiting. The salesperson sent me a text asking for pictures of my trade which I sent. After almost a day of no response I sent a text asking if they even received the pictures. I received a text back saying yes and have yet to receive any correspondence on that front as well. I am not sure why they do not respond - maybe because I'm purchasing from out of state? Maybe because I am paying cash and not financing? Maybe they are just so busy they do not need the business? Not sure, but all I can say is if they do not respond to you via one method of communication just take your business elsewhere. Not worth the trouble. Ended up having a different keep dealer factory order me the same one I was looking for. 3 month wait (and a little more expensive) but at least the other dealer wanted to make a sale. read more

came over to winners circle to Purchase a vehicle, but because the vehicle was coming soon, was told that they didn't want us waiting a couple weeks for the car to get in so the finance manager found another vehicle for us i was excited for this vehicle was told I was approved for it and what the payments would be,was told the truck had to go in the shop, and was also told that they wasn't going to sell the truck, that it was mine. I was fine with that, get a call today that they sold the truck. I have had the worst experience of my life with the "Loser" Circle. I took my truck to the dealership and they damaged it. The staff said there was no dent but lying Cory ( the crappy manager) said there was a dent to avoid accepting responsibility for damages. I've been given the run around for 2 weeks. Now I am forced to report this incident to the Hampton police, start an application for court and Better Business Bureau. Since Pomoco sold their company the service went downhill! We took our Ram here for the first time and had to call several times to check on it. Advisor said it would be done before noon. Never heard from our advisor. At 4 pm I called again and a very nice lady helped me, but my advisor never bother to call. I called the next day to talk to him about some issues, one being oil was dripping on our driveway from doing an oil change. Oil was all over the undercarriage. I could't reach him so I left a message for the manager since I also have a question on the oil used. Well, all day and no returned call from him either. I guess this business doesn't need MY business. I will continue to go to Pomoco, even though it is farther from my house. It doesn't cost anything to return a call, in my opinion, the cheapest but most impactful thing a business can do. read more

Pour, pour, communication, service diagnoses, and customer service! It took them 3 months and 3 trips to diagnose a rodent had caused a problem to why my fuel gauge wasn't reading correctly (while car was under warranty). Then when it was a rodent problem (my problem), quickly went through the insurance company and NOW another month later they do NOT even respond to a phone call about the status after numerous calls. BUT before they found out it was (my problem (a rodent) every mahinic suddenly had an emergency day, so that's why it took so long? Still waiting to hear back from them... read more

Unfortunately I bought a lemon from this dealer. I wish I would have checked the reviews on this dealership first! I took the Dodge Journey back to them ( i haven't had it a month and told them I wanted to exchange it. As you drive it, when the gears change, the transmision jerks. Our original dealer, Larry, asked us to wait in the service lounge while the service department checked it out. I was there for three hours with no explanations, no one even came out to check on us, offer coffee, nothing. After three hours in this waiting room listening to the childish babel from the employees in the service department( don't they know customers can hear them?)my husband went to seek help. A couple of employees took him to the service counter assuming he was there for a repair. He was treated extremely bad and was accused of cutting line and that he had to make an appointment. Had they taken the time to listen, they would have realized he wasn't there for repair. We simply wanted to exchange the lemon for another SUV. The situation escalated when another employee, Christopher Young, ,that was clueless yelled at my husband. This was totally unacceptable. Eventually the dealer, Larry, came back with the keys and gave them back and said there was nothing wrong with the SUV, they topped the fluids and ran a diagnostic. We were shocked, we didn't come to get the SUV serviced. we were so upset, three hours for this! We took the keys and as we walked out, Christopher Young still had rudeness towards us. I was almost out the door when he was yelling at us to get out. I turned around and walked over to him. Before I could get a word out he said, "What is wrong with these people!" "These People!" Did he mean customers? Seniors? Military and Government Retirees? Hispanics? I don't know but that seemed very judgemental. He walked off in a tizzy yelling "they are antagonizing me!" A lot of drama when i was just standing there, he didnt give me a chance to say a word. We drove off in the SUV with the transmission still jumping. I do not recommend this dealership. I went thru a site from Sam's Club and I think Sam's club should not affiliate themselves with them. read more
