A local little gem that is easy to miss, it is located inside of an old bank building and looks like an office from the outside. It's easy to miss if you're not looking for it as it blends in with the surrounding office buildings. They have a nice selection of coffee and teas. It is moderately priced. A cup of coffee or tea may run you 5-9 bucks. They have WiFi, it's a pretty laid back vibe. The staff were pleasant. They do have a drive thru as well as outdoor seating. read more

I went there this morning and ordered the London Fog Latte with almond milk and a pump of sugar free vanilla. This latte is made with coffee, a milk and the essence of ... wait for it... LAVENDER.. LAVENDER PEOPLE!!! It's phenomenal. On a cold rainy day it's a trip across the pond with a view of Big Ben. It's an all weather coat with just a faint touch of drizzle in the air. It's cozy.. and the service is top notch ! Our barista was kind, attentive, and prompt. PLUS- the prices for their stuff can't be beat! I was looking for a place where I can use free wifi for a few hours to finish up some work. My property manager suggested I try this place out. Upon walking in, it was fairly busy but there were a few open seats and I gladly took one by the wall once I placed my order. The coffee shop used to be a bank and it is super cute. Wasn't sure that to expect since I'm new to this area but the gals was super nice and welcoming. Something I greatly appreciate since customer service has been on the decline. My favorite coffee shop on the coast -- besides their other location Coast Roast in Gulfport. This is a staple in Long Beach and the staff are so friendly. Come often enough and they even know your order by heart. It's the perfect study spot especially the corner table with the comfy chair (side note -- PLEASEEE don't sit there if you don't use the awesome chair!). If you're in the area and looking for a nice cup of coffee or specialty coffee this is the place to go. Only thing that stinks is that they're closed on Sundays at both locations. read more

Every once in awhile I have family come here to MS to visit. Bankhouse Coffee is one of those places you take your family and friends to for a higher level coffee experience. Its quaint, the staff is ultra friendly, the seating is varied whether you want to sit at regular table or high bar table, and the interior is nostalgic old brick. They have since changed the style of the interior so that it better matches the elegance rather than the previous coastal style. The menu is small and the food options are limited. They usually just have a couple of simple cookies or scones. I highly recommend the Bankhouse latte! It has just the right amount of spice. Delicious! They also sell Coast Roast coffee beans which I highly recommend though the roastery is just a few buildings up the road. Bankhouse is a very cool coffee shop. Located in an old bank building, Bankhouse oozes coolness. The large room you enter as you walk in still feels like a bank lobby, but with much more character. The walls are adorned with old signs and there is even an old bank safe repurposed as a table. It's a very comfortable place to sit and enjoy your coffee, or to work quietly. Although I haven't yet, I could see myself sitting around writing reviews or working remotely for hours here. Their cold brew is very good and does not need milk or sugar. It is strong with a slight hint of bitterness. It's far superior to Starbucks and on par with nearby Cat Island Coffeehouse. There are a few things that I don't necessarily like, but they don't detract too much from the experience. The first is that the area where the baristas work is blocked by a high counter. I'd prefer if it were a low counter where you could watch them work or carry on a conversation. It's almost as if they disappear once you place your order. The next thing is that for food you have to walk to the back to order. I think having some pre-made sandwiches up front would make it easier to grab and go if you're in a hurry. I really like Bankhouse Coffee and think you will too. read more

In addition, we asked the barista what kind of pastries they have in the morning and he said they only served scones. I asked what kind of scones and he did not have a clue. One of my favorite things to do whenever I relocate to a new area is check out the local coffee shops. A good coffee shop consists of a lot more than just a decent cup of Joe. A good coffee shop is a melody, a masterpiece on a canvas, a symphony of elements, and so much more. In all seriousness, Coffee is my life line and I need decent places to go. Bankhouse Coffee uses Coast Roast coffee, which is pretty darn tasty, and the barista's seem to know what they are doing. The building itself is a unique piece of history and is very #instagrammable. The energy is nice and welcoming. It is both vibrant and relaxing at the same time which is pretty rare to find. The prices are on par with other coffee shops, which in my opinion are all too expensive but eh what can you do? They offer a decent variety of espresso beverages, flavors, and modifiers. They even have dairy free options for all of us Vegan coffee fiends. Honestly, this is probably my favorite coffee shop in the area thus far. I wish it was closer because I would likely stop in on the regular! If you are ever in Longbeach to check out the comic shop, browse the farmer's market, or simply exist...this little coffee shop should certainly be on your radar. I am used to big-city, independent-ownership coffee joints that are packed with svelte, lounging tattooed types, stocked with fifty different kinds of sustainably-grown, ethically-sourced global coffees, festooned with sleek Macs, as hip as it gets. I didn't expect a lot from a smalltown -- not even a smalltown art-colony, but just a nice little partially-recovered, slightly dusty gulf-coast town -- coffee shop. I have high standards: I am a big-city hipster; I am prepared to be mildly disappointed. But i am here to tell you this place has Pj's stone beat. It is nothing short of an *oasis* of sunshine and sanity. Good coffee well-made. A beautifully restored building in the very best combination of funky, comforting, and tasteful. Free, capacious, reliable wifi, too. I'm pretty sure if i were forced to live on the coast, i'd actually be living in this place. It says something about a place when the only complaint I can come up with is that they aren't open often *enough.* Or long enough. And one caveat: incomprehensibly enough, they don't seem to take debit or credit cards. Bring cash. and prepare to be delighted. read more

Same great coffee, same great atmosphere (although it is a little different because it's in an old bank building)...the biggest difference- it's in Long Beach...duh. Oh, and there is a bakery in the back! They have cinnamon rolls bigger than your head, fresh cookies and pretty much anything else that you would expect to find at a bakery. Bankhouse/Coast Roast's coffee is the best on the coast, maybe even in the United States, nay I say- the world. The whole world. It could bring world peace and end world hunger, if only more people would drink it. Ok, that last part may have been a bit of a stretch, but my point is...this is the best coffee you'll ever run past your grateful tastebuds so do yourself a favor and get some TODAY.
