Great spot right on the beach with lots of options for coffee and treats. Loved the different flavors they offered and the Honeycomb iced latte was just sweet enough to hit the spot without being too sweet. I also had a very decadent pecan tart with a delicate flaky buttery crust simply delicious but the real highlight of Cat Island Coffeehouse is that make no mistake it is a wonderful bookstore that has excellent coffee! This was such an awesome find driving thru the coast. I was really craving for a good cup of coffee and they delivered. This place is a medley of a coffee and book shop - what is not to like. We ordered lattes, matcha - all great. I tried a latte with honey - that was a first for me. It has been a while since I step into a book store and the options were very interesting. Ended up purchasing a book about vegetables and another one about Medicinal Plants. If you go, take the spiral stairs up. Nice cozy area with a great view of the coast. read more

Great beverages, great view. We stopped here while passing through the area, and we were glad we did. I got a golden latte, and my husband got a coffee. Both drinks were delicious. Service was quick, despite the long lines. The patio was great and we enjoyed the view for a while before continuing our drive. I would definitely stop here again. read more

I love supporting local businesses but when political and woke interference is present, it turns away what the shop was meant for...I ask why? And a little trick I learned from a regular. The reservation signs are fake. They put up as a distraction so people don't try to get a table before their food? Oh ya...just add a couple more tables up stairs and stop playing games. The view is great, but the service is not so great. It was very hard to see the counter to order, due to all of the books, and the choices are very limited. It's likely a wonderful place to sit and have you coffee but I'll have to rate based on my specific experience. I ordered a Large coffee which was $4 plus the tip I added. Then they handed me my coffee snd it was smaller than 12oz and they didn't even fill that tiny cup up all the way either. So based on the amount I got this was the most expensive per ounce I've ever gotten. A cute coffeehouse combined with a bookstore... I'm in heaven! Located on the edge of downtown just off the highway, this is a great stop for locals and visitors. I went for a run on Saturday morning, and as i finished and was walking back to my hotel, I stopped in to grab something. There were several people in there that day, but it didn't feel crazy crowded. I ordered a berry iced tea and browsed the books while waiting. It's cozy in there and can get a little crowded with everyone waiting, but everyone is friendly. They had some pastries available, but they were not serving any of the breakfast items like sandwiches or what not. I asked to make sure and I couldn't really understand the answer given, but it didn't matter because I could grab something later somewhere else. I'll try to schedule in a little downtime next time I'm in the Pass and will try to head back to relax and enjoy. read more

We had late afternoon coffees here and returned the next morning. It's in a great spot with good views of the water. Service is prompt and the coffee is well brewed. For breakfast we tried a quiche and a breakfast croissant. We loved the integration of the bookstore. read more

The owner was rude, combative, and refused to acknowledge my rights, even as I calmly explained the federal and Mississippi laws that protect access for individuals with service animals. This kind of discrimination is not only illegal -- it's deeply disrespectful, especially toward those who have served. I've filed a formal complaint and hope this business takes steps to better understand the law and how to treat people with dignity. read more

This place is a gem. We stayed in the coast for almost 2 weeks. I had such low hopes for coffee options that we brought our own bialetti and Peet's. I know, super snobbish. To be fair, I was right about the town we stayed in (Waveland). This coffeehouse bookstore makes excellent espresso, tasty bites, and an excellent selection of cooks. We don't typically buy kids books because my toddler gets so many hand me downs. I bought a few just to support this amazing store. The staff is incredibly kind. The seating area was ample and cool. As a frequent royal visitor of this fine establishment, this place has its hits and misses. Its hits: The local coffee, the food, the books, the location, and the service, the closing time! Its Misses: - Food is only served until 2 although they remain open until 6. This doesn't help me as I like to take a late lunch. - sometimes they are inconsistent with where they want you to sit. Once I was asked to go upstairs simply because I had a laptop... going upstairs scares me and makes me nauseous. - Once... I actually saw 2 rodents. They were on the outdoor seating area but still near customers. It gave me the ick. I really like this place I do. I think with a few changes and cleanings, it will be perfect. I love this little spot. I dropped off my dog at Paws on the Pass so he could get groomed and decided to treat myself to coffee and a bagel and some reading on their gorgeous patio. I love that they have a bookstore and the interior is just as cute as the exterior. This is the perfect place to come and read. I loved relaxing in the beautiful climate while watching sailboats sail by on the water. The staff is friendly and efficient and they made my visit very enjoyable. This is definitely my favorite coffee shop in the area and I could see myself becoming a regular! The bagel was really good and I also loved the Mississippi Mocha. I definitely "geek it out" when I am around coffee and books. so this place is like heaven for me. It's always exciting to peruse new book options while sipping on great coffee! My older daughter and I stopped in for coffee and tea. There's a good selection of loose teas, and my daughter was pleased to have choices. The coffee menu is somewhat typical, with offerings of hot and cold espresso drinks. I tried an iced drink with milk and honey. The coffee was good. It's nice to have choices besides Starbucks, and I appreciate the opportunity to support local businesses. The establishment is clean and while small, there was no problem finding either indoor or outdoor seating. We enjoyed a table with an excellent gulf view. Highly recommended if you appreciate good espresso. Best latte I've had in the south-- excellent microfoam with clean latte art, flavorful doubleshot by default in a 10 oz ceramic cup. Very nice interior, nice and small outside area overlooking the beach. Nobody batted an eye about me ordering in full bike kit and I was able to put my bike on the front porch so I could see it from the inside while ordering. This quaint little coffee shop in a combined space with Pass Christian Bookstore is a little slice of Heaven. It's upstairs loft and spiral staircase are darling and embody the cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The menu was impressive with its original house concoctions and varied pastries (we tried the cold brew, honey espresso, apple cinnamon scone, and strawberry muffin with cream cheese icing; all delicious). The baristas were friendly and willing to share excellent recommendations. Book lovers or those just curious to find a new read will be delighted by the wide variety of book genres represented and could easily get lost (in a good way) perusing the many fascinating titles. The numerous books about Mississippi, the Gulf and many represented authors from Mississippi made this feel like a true slice of local life, which we enjoyed thoroughly. I ordered the Dulce de Leche and my husband ordered a southern vanilla. The coffee was top-notch and the best we have had! We both ordered mouth-watering breakfast sandwiches. My wife and I found this place on our cross country drive. We were on our drive through Mississippi and made it a point to stop at this place, first because we needed some coffee and second because this place looked so welcoming. I've written many reviews of this quaint coffeeshop-bookstore and I'm going to write another one. I simply LOVE this place for so many reasons. Just the experience of waking up here - enjoying the delicious coffee and craft foods, simple conversations with the staff - gets you started on the right path. This place has all the right ingredients to keep us coming back for more. And over the years of visiting from San Francisco, we keep coming back. This place is just so damn cute!!
