Little pieces of art everywhere, even in the stairwell.
    Nancy R.

Took my boyfriend for our birthdays since we are both art enthusiasts, and have followed Banksy for years. I loved reading about how he changed his mediums, and techniques throughout the years, as well as the messages behind his work. My boyfriend, a graffiti enthusiast, loved to see the replicas of his work, and see some pieces he's never seen before. The exhibit didn't have all his work on display, which we were hoping to see a few selections we've seen online, however we got to discuss the pieces with the exhibit's knowledgeable staff. They even host a night where you can come in and make your own artwork. It was a great experience! Hard to find location, but worth it!

The Banksy museum was really a cool experience. It's not much to look at from the outside, just a city entryway, but inside they have recreated a large number of Banksy art pieces and provided information about their location and the background behind each piece. It would be easy to judge that the pieces a are not his prodigals, but given the nature of his his graffiti style art and how it is place, it is reasonable to understand that is not really possible. This place however lets you browse a large number of his works through recreations all in one building. It was pretty inexpensive to get in a and was a nice outing to brows his art. Great stop!

Seriously do not wanna spoil the experience for anyone with my photos; but knowing not everyone will be able to make their way to this incredible Museum I just had to. If you know a little about Banksy; learn more! Talk about an artist and activist voice through the art of graffiti; and meditate on the idea of "If graffiti changed anything it would be illegal". So much more than the chimp eluding to world domination or a little girl holding a red balloon... Banksy creates so much out of "nothing" and the conversations we can have around the pieces are just- everything. If you are visiting NYC; GO TO THE BANKSY MUSEUM!

This is an incredible place to wander around. So many exhibits and so much information about Banksy. Plus it's nice and cool on a hot summer day. Not too crowded and I also liked the gift shop although I wish they sold single postcards and not just $10 packs.

Holy cow this museum is amazing. If you are a fan of good street art this is the Mecca of street art. It is a maze of displays painted on walls as they were originally painted in UK by Banksy him/herself.

Living in NYC during the 2010s, we played this game to spot any Banksy art in the streets of Manhattan. Having a sharp eye to recognize the pieces was a fun time. Now that Banksy has compiled his art and origins in a museum, this was fun to see all the pieces I couldn't spot and to understand his vision behind the pieces. As a New Yorker, I will always appreciate the essence of NY he captured in his art. Majority of it hits home and has a very interesting fusion of two themes put together. My favorite art pieces are always the happy faces with dark tones representing conflicting themes. These are my overall thoughts on the museum. Nicely organized, clear pathways paved for customers, neatly spaced, and worth the cost to equate all the private Banksy artworks you'll have access to. The gallery is divided into separate floors to showcase all his work. A great way for any Banksy fan to enjoy a rainy Saturday.

I am not going to lie. Did not know this was here I believed it was somewhere else. I had the opportunity to visit, was surprised at the price, close to $30. A nice exhibit. "Remakes" not originals obviously. Something to do on a rainy day as a tourist or a New Yorker like myself likes to experience what there is to offer in the Big Apple. I think there's a Groupon for a cheaper price.

    Judy C.

Over 160 pieces of Banksy art. They're not originals but very cool to see in one place. There are the wall art, but also framed art not seen before.

    Ming M.

I came here for an event and the art is absolutely fascinating! Very unusual and definitely worth a visit.

Photography has been my hobby for years.I have been photographing NYC historical buildings and street graffiti these days I see The Bansky Museum on Canal Street-NYC as a must go to place. For New Yorkers as well as visitors coming to NYC. The museum has Two large floors and many Bansky Street Art walls to view. I have visited two times already and have spent hours walking around taking pictures. So far I have met two staff members at the check In desk Berkeley & Gino. They are both warm and friendly. They really make you feel like a wanted guest. I can't wait to go back.

    Lizzy K.

Unassuming entryway right off of the 6 train. Very impactful and meaningful exhibit. At first I was concerned to get my $$'s worth but it is bigger than it appears. Photographs were encouraged which was nice - especially since his work is so important. I left feeling as if I got a full Banksy experience, deeper than I thought I would. My only complaint was some of the videos had music loudly playing on repeat, which was a little bit annoying.

Being able to…read morefinally go to a museum where you can touch and draw and just be immersed in the experience of art is so much fun! The Arte is actually a really great exhibit. I've been to one that has the slightest edge on the Arte but only because the Arte is actually quite small in comparison. I do wish they had a few more rooms for you to go in especially for it being in NY you would think it would be overwhelmingly huge but nope. We bought the cafe experience with our tickets and it honestly was a little blah. It's only $5 so I won't take away a star for that but the tables had interactive art on them so that was a bonus. The cons are once you enter the cafe you can't go back through that's it! Tour over! So make sure you do all the things before you get there! I do give it a 5 out of 5 because it's still really cool and fun to just go have the experience!

You go from room to room, and the rooms are big enough so that even when there's a lot of people there's still plenty of room. The price could also stand to be half of what it is.

The landmark exhibition Raphael: Sublime Poetry runs through June 28 at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 899. It is the first comprehensive exhibition on the Italian Renaissance master in the United States, gathering over 170 of his paintings, drawings, and tapestries from 62 global lenders. The Met is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, museums in NYC. Grand, opulent, rich in history and gorgeous. Raphael exhibit has been running for three months and showcases the celestial beauty of his work. Whether it's his famous portraits or the multiple Virgin Mother and Child paintings, his stunning work will leave you breathless. Raphael, along with Michelangelo and Da Vinci were known as the Supreme Masters of the High Renaissance. Exquisite Master artists. In addition to this gorgeous exhibit which is included in the standard admission, there's always so much to see at The Met. The last day of the exhibit is June 28--catch it!

We actually had to bypass many areas, as there were too many people congregated around most of the pieces. Well worth museum visit, we had a great time and they offer a very generous Military discount , thank you!

Speaking of the gift shop, there's an amazing number of things to see there, at a variety of price points, so if you're looking for a souvenir to bring back home or a gift for an upcoming event/occasion, there is a little something for everyone here. In terms of the art, again, variety is the spice of life, but it may be best to come up with a plan of attack first. So it was good timing that I suggested to Jamie W that we visit the reopened Frick mansion in all its Gilded Age glory. What we appreciated was how the art was presented like it would in a private residence rather than a museum. The Beaux-Arts mansion was built in 1914 for industrialist Henry Clay Frick, and it turned into a museum in 1935 to preserve his vast art collection. We were lined up on the sidewalk for our timed 11AM entry. Once inside, we were struck by the refurbished Garden Court with its light-filled curvilinear ceiling and limestone interior (Photo 5). The permanent collection is presented in a series of rooms furnished with fine pieces of decorative art. The European paintings span between the 14th and 19th centuries covering the Dutch Golden Age, the Italian Renaissance, the Spanish masters (like the Prado). French Rococo and Impressionism, and most significantly, British Portrature and Landscapes. In fact, there was a special exhibition of British artist Thomas Gainsborough's works focused on 18th-century fashion through portraiture. Admission for non-members is $30 and well worth it. The sheer volume of AI-influenced and digitally-derived works has prompted deep critical debate about authorship, originality, and influence in the digital age. To contrast modern Generative AI, the museum has championed some pioneers exhibiting their AI-based drawing program. This highlights a longstanding dialogue between tech and brushwork. The museum has started aggressively acquiring machine learning and algorithm-based art, bringing digital-native phenomena into the permanent American art historical canon. Designed by Renzo Piano, the building I compliment its staggered outdoor terraces and expansive glass walls that seamlessly integrate the surrounding New York cityscape with the art. While the building's architecture and views are universally acclaimed, visitor reception of ultra-modern and digital exhibits can be polarizing. However, the museum's permanent collection remains a cornerstone draw.
