Made an appointment, because their website for this location states they have x-ray imaging. Call because they apparently moved across the street. Lady was snippy on the phone. Walk in she doesn't say hi, besides I see you're limping and we don't have x-ray. My husband says well F***, let's leave. She immediately responds, "good you're not welcome here". Old lady with blonde/gray hair at the desk....I really hope she is not a nurse, how dare you see someone in pain, limping and THAT is your response? I said your website says you have x-ray and all we got was a shoulder shrug from her. Is this why the place was EMPTY?! Healthcare is a JOKE and it starts with BANNER....terrible, miserable people. I should have listened to the reviews. PLEASE listen to the reviews. This is the worst experience I've ever had with an urgent care. I am such a strong proponent of NEVER going here, only I was strongly urged to by my mom and friends, because I had such lingering symptoms of what could be strep throat (swollen red glands). I saw them back in SEPTEMBER for not even 30minutes while the nurse came in, took my blood pressure, looked in my throat, and said pretty much "idk sorry girl." She said she didn't believe it was strep but they could send it in to another clinic to get my mouth swab tested there. (They didn't tell me this would be another $42). Fast forward to today, I get TEXT notifications about how OVERDUE my payment is each month. $271 for a 30 minute visit? No itemized receipt too btw. SORRY??? For literally WHAT? You used one piece of equipment on me, and a couple q-tips to swab my throat. I didn't take up more than 10 minutes of your time. Now, they want to threaten my payment to go to collections after I have called them MULTIPLE times, left voicemails MULTIPLE times with my contact info (because they never seem to have agents to answer my calls), and they only ONCE called me back, I answered and the call put me on mute, as soon as the agent said "hello? A second time and I realized he couldn't hear me, I went to unmute, but he already hung up. I am so incredibly agitated and stressed out over this, I want to know exactly why I am being charged the prices I'm being charged, but Banner doesn't see that as a priority, they just ignore my calls, refuse to contact me via email or text (only text me automated messages that don't offer a real person), and threaten legal action, all while I am being ignored and taken advantage of. I arrived at 8:30 PM, which was still 30 minutes before closing, during what I believed was a genuine medical emergency. Instead of opening the door or even taking a moment to assess the situation, the staff shouted at me through the closed door and refused to help. Their behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely lacking in compassion. In an urgent medical situation, patients expect empathy and assistance--not to be yelled at from behind a locked door. NURSE BRIAN/bryan IS THE WORST I've been to this urgent care twice in my life and the first time I had a pleasant experience. Although the reviews are horrible, I still decided to go today. The nurse practitioner Brian was completely unprofessional. When I was explaining to him why I was there he immediately cut me off and said he would not be treating me and the only thing he can do is just prescribe me antibiotics. He did not even try to help me at all. He just bluntly said he refuses to help. I will never be coming here again. What a positive experience! "Becca," Nurse Practitioner, safely and skillfully removed "stuck contact lens" from my wife's eye. As it turned out, there were two lenses one intact and one that appeared to have been torn in half. So, this is why my wife was having such a difficult time with eyelid irritation. Sandra, Front Desk Manager was very professional too, as were all of the staff. I called other Urgent Care Centers, but none of them expressed confidence about a stuck contact lens removal. Terrible service. Front desk lady allowed my visit to go through but never notified me that my insurance was denied. I was still offerd the care I was needed but I was billed 320 for something that my insurance should cover. Called my insurance to make sure that this place covers and it's says it's does. The front desk lady should've told me my insurance was denied and she never made any calls to my insurance to verify if my insurance covers the visit. Every other place you go to they call your insurance company to verify the coverage. This place is awful I recommend nobody to come here. read more

Called to see if we could get an x ray. Was told they are able to do x rays at this location, but they did not have an x ray tech working, did not know when one would be on site, did not know what other facility might have one working today, and said to start calling around to all the locations and ask. I asked for a manger because it didn't make sense to me that someone in the company was scheduling x ray techs and would know where they would be so I could drive there. Instead of a manager is got a rude lady named Monica who spoke over me mid-sentence telling me it wasn't just them and everyone is experiencing a shortage. I said I understood that, but even more of a reason to be able to share out the schedules of the techs you do have. Again, she spoke over me and informed me there was no way her manager would return my call since I wasn't a patient, which is exactly what I was trying to be. Physicians Assistant Christina A Auclair what's the worst provider I've ever had at a Banner Urgent Care. I was told because I was in pain from doing too much yardwork that I needed to take Tylenol, Drink Coconut Water, incorporate massage along with alternating Heat and ice because I may have a condition called Rhabdomyolysis. I explained that I had already added massage with CBD and was already alternating heat and ice. My urine sample was perfectly light and showed great hydration, color was great. The muscle soreness I was experiencing was not unusual due to my strenuous day doing manual labor out in the yard. Not only would she give not give me just one muscle relaxer or pain reliever she wouldn't even give me a non-narcotic inner muscle injection of an anti-inflammatory called Toradol. She referred me to the emergency room if I continued to feel sore and pain over the next 4 to 6 hours because I could die. After I told her multiple times I didn't agree with her diagnosis and wanted to speak to the main doctor overseeing her. EVERYBODY in the office was sitting there outside my room, hovering, with the lights turned off and the front door locked and made me go out of back door and they were all just waiting for me to go home even though I went in more than an hour before they closed because their normal location I went to was initially closed for the day due to understaffing. If you're going to go to Banner Urgent Care and you want pain reliever you might as well forget it. IF you do go to Banner Urgent Care and this is your PA Physicians Assistant Christina A Auclair, walk out!!! I do not recommend you even bother wasting your time going to the location on Gilbert and Southern. My insurance was billed and I was not taken care of properly. I didn't take a trip to see a physicians assistant, a nurse practitioner or a doctor for one of them to tell me to put a hot/cold/massage/Tylenol which is everything I have at home that's available over the counter without the need to see a physician. However, at the same time you could be dying and go to the emergency room. It's absolute BULLSH*T!!!!! UPDATE: Approx 12 Hours from my check in time. I am ALIVE, not dying, nor did I need an emergency trip to the Emergency Room in a COVID-19 hot spot. Had it not been between 7:45pm-8pm on a Saturday, I would have utilized my primary care doctor. What it bothersome is that in the waiting room they have signs posted on the treatment you'll receive and one of their catch phrases was "Courageously Innovative" What a joke! It appears they don't keep their negative comments up. This place sucks when it comes to front desk check on service. The girl is completely rude and disrespectful. I was there a few weeks back and then my daughter is there now. There is absolutely no reason to reserve an appt when you have to wait in line anyways. My daughter is sick and needs to get tested for covid. Meaning everyone around her is now at risk if she tests positive. However, it's not even about covid- it's about the lack of respect or care from your front office help that completely sucks and is inadequate. I should've run away from this place as soon as I checked in. The front desk girl was friendly but extremely unprofessional. I waited almost an hour after my "reservation" time to have my child seen by a "provider", not sure if she was a NP or a nurse or what but she seemed to have no idea what she was doing and was also very unprofessional. Never introduced herself and had no identification on her scrubs so I don't even know her name. Also the medical assistant seemed to have zero training. Honestly it was scary having these goons asses my child. Like I said, should've run. I am planning to reach out to Banner corporate for a refund of my "deposit" (bc for some reason they didn't collect a copay and instead ask for a deposit which seems shady) since I wasted an hour of line and my child's time to be told she had a cold, which I already knew. I got hit by a truck and my hands were injured. The front desk lady was kind and courteous and answered my questions to the best of her ability. Nathan was the best x-ray technician I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, he was sincere, kindhearted, and joyful. The facilities were super clean. Well, I would like to comment on the Doctors ability to diagnose my problem but since I didn't even make it to see the doctor I am simply writing this review on the fact the staff is completely disrespectful and childish. When I walked in I went up to the front where two, what I can only assume, are male medical assistants, since their demeanor did not suggest any sort of professionalism. One of them then proceeded to ask me why I was visiting today. I told him I was having trouble hearing out of my left ear.... Now, Idk why that would be funny.... But apparently it was because the gentleman at the other computer burst into laughing... Then looked at the guy, who asked me what I was in for and he then started to giggle. I wasn't too sure if I missed something. I didn't see anything funny with the fact I couldn't hear out of my left ear... Then I thought... Hey maybe it was an inside joke or Maybe they had a thing against deaf ppl. Not too sure. I then took the paperwork they gave me and sat down... Continued to watch them act like children and make faces at each other, and then I realized I was not going to stay there. I walked outside made a few phone calls to see where else I could possibly go that was local. After finding another Urgent Care nearby I walked back in the facility, handed them my blank paperwork and told them I was going else where. I know it seems like it's not that big of a deal, but when you're in customer service you can not act like that. Especially at a place like a hospital, a place where people already don't feel comfortable going, then you make them feel put out anyways. TL;DR: - 2hr wait is what you should expect if you are in physical pain and in need of urgent care. - majority of the staff is rude, apathetic, unprofessional. - The facility is dirty, littered with trash on floor, overflowing garbage bins, etc.). -Avoid if you can. Go to Dignity Health or any other medical group. I took my wife to this horrid place, she was throwing up for about a week, we came in , waited 10-15 to approach the check in desk. My wife explained what was happening and then she started throwing up blood, then we proceeded waiting for another hour and a half. After I got fed up and politely asked why is my wife being ignored and if I can talk to someone that cares. Rachel Oodi came to answer my very straight forward query about the wait time, she did not answer a single question that was presented to her and while another nurse called for my attention she used that split second opportunity to run away. I asked another nurse if throwing up blood while being in uncontrollable pain is something that should be taken seriously, at first the nurse was saying it is and it should be taken care of ASAP, but when a 3rd male nurse came in to "Help" the tune changes back to stonewalling and refusing to give out any information on why their hospital is one of the worst in attitude, professionalism, wait time, cleanliness (during the 5hrs I waited in the lobby, no one bothered to clean tissues, empty the overflowing garbage bins. Nor did anyone from the staff bothered to help out a woman that been trying to reach the restroom while clearly being in pain and a huge fall risk. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. we took my Aunt that was visiting from Mexico last weekend. We arrived and the lady was rude because it was half an hour to closing time. My aunt was feeling horrible so I filled out the registration papers quickly. When i took them to the receptionist she said she needed an ID. We didnt have one at the moment but I offered mine while someone went home and got my aunts. She said no in a really rude way. I explained that my aunt needed help fast that we could get the Id in 10 min tops but she refused. They dont care about the patients health! Specially if it's 8:30 pm on a saturday night! This Urgent care is the worst I have ever been to!!!! My ex took our son in 20min before a custodial exchange and had all the paperwork fill out before I arrived so at the end of the apt because I didn't sign the intake paperwork they wouldn't release my sons medical documents the receptionists told me the office manager told them they couldn't release them to me and told me I had to provide proof that I could receive my sons information. It took me 3 days to get anything and had to call the billing office to even get someone with any sense. Check in was quick and I was brought back quickly.. the PA sounded well educated: I came in for a neck injury. I wish they would have told me prior than waiting to be brought back that they do not do cervical images. So they gave me a order to go to EVDI for X-rays. The PA promised the order was stat so we could get results quickly. So I left with a prescription and two orders. Went to EVDI and waited awhile and then was told the orders were not STAT so there would be a 24-48 hour delay before the clinician would receive the report. I called the office and the female ma seemed quite irritated I was calling about the order not being stat. I requested they call for a verbal reading. I should have just gone to the ER. I would have answers by now. But I sit in extreme pain with no range of motion waiting for them to call with my results. read more

Went in because I had a horrible sore throat and could barely swallow. Saw Dr. Elston. Asked him if I could have anything to help my throat feel better so I could sleep at night- like some cough syrup or something. Told me I just had to wait it out. So- spent money and waited there for nothing. Spent last night waking up every 30 min because I was in so much pain. Still feeling miserable. Downed an entire package of throat lozenges and throat spray. Now I'm going to have to spend even more money to go somewhere else to get something to help me to feel better. read more

This urgent care was the most pleasant and quickest one I've been to. The staff is so nice and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable and took care of all my needs. They even fill your prescriptions here, which is totally convenient. They are even open every day until 9pm! I will definitely return here and will recommend them to my family and friends. read more

Really wish I could give this a 0 stars. TERRIBLE place, don't ever go here especially when involving your children. I brought my 2 1/2 year old son in here for having bad diarrhea for a week, not eating and very bloated. God forbid I came in right before they closed as I had just picked him up from his dads and realized he needed to be seen now. Lady at the front desk was rude, I hadn't made an appointment but that was okay. Another person walked in while I was waiting and also didn't have an appointment and the front desk bitch was rude to them and mentioned how they were about to close and sighed and said fine and slammed the paper and pen down for them to fill out. Then when we go back to the room, all that they did was check his heart rate and temperature. Then the physician asked what was wrong, I explained and she then pushed around on his belly for a minute then said she's going to proscribe a medication and a stool culture. That all she did. Didn't care about how I was worried he's dehydrated or listen to anything else I said. Then left and popped her head back in a few minutes later and I mean literally just popped her head in, didn't even come back in the room, to say they'd be in with papers. When the other lady brought the paper in she didn't even seem to know what she was doing, just told me to read them. Didn't tell me what to do with the stool culture or where I was supposed to take it or anything about the medication they were prescribing. And then basically pushed me out the door. I was there about a total of 30 minutes from filling out new patient papers to ruching out the doors. Which when she was ushering me out all the lights were already off. And it wasn't even the main door she threw me out of, it was like the back door I had to walk around the building to get back to the front..... terrible terrible place. They better hope there's nothing seriously wrong with my son when I get him checked somewhere else tomorrow as this just happened. Otherwise I'm holding them responsible. They only cared about leaving and didn't care enough to make sure there's not something seriously wrong with my son.
