In a medical emergency it could have been a life threatening mistake to waste time to drive to this location. My four year old daughter fell off a playground and we feared she broke her arm. We came here because they had an X-ray machine. My wife and I are both fully vaccinated and wore masks. We even got our 4 year old daughter who was in pain to put a mask on at their request. When it came time to go back we were told only one person could go back due to Covid. We quickly complied and I stayed in the lobby. I was emotionally distraught that my child was injured and I asked the woman at the front desk why we could not both go back if we were vaccinated. She was explaining the reason behind corporate policy and I began to understand. I felt we had a decent conversation going so I expressed some frustration at not being able to go back. I wasn't yelling and I wasn't being argumentative I was just trying to connect with another human. Another woman came from behind a wall and coldly told me she wasn't the one who made the rule and I needed to call corporate. The manner in which she did it was cold with no empathy for our situation. It really disgusted me how it was addressed when I was just trying to understand the policy. read more

I was obligated to give one star and that is gratuitous. I am a critical care nurse and I was having an allergic response to a medication I'd taken that morning. Red face red palms, itching and difficulty breathing, in trouble big time! I went to the counter to get help and the counter person asked for my cards, I handed them to her and ssid, "  I need help, I can't breathe. I'm having N allergic response . " she said they were taking appointment first and that it would be a wait. Do I have an appointment? "  I could barely talk at this point and rasped I can't breathe , I need help. "  she said it would be a wait and which of the identical blue cross blue shield cards was more recent. I couldn't think and the ICU nurse in me kicked in and we went to the ER in Banner desert and was promptly seen. Don't you all know airway breathing circulation? I was in medical trouble and was told to take a seat. Nope bad judgement on the part of the front desk staff who should at least called a medical person to assess the situation. Sat in this basically empty location for nearly two hours before I found out that we had another 4 1/2 hours wait to be seen for X-rays. So they were prepared to let me wait for 6 hours without telling me. They just said to sit and wait and that's it. How hard is it to say "oh by the way it'll be a six hour wait" no common courtesy, I'm soooooo livid!!!! Everyone I know that works at a Banner says to never go to Banner. This place is a joke. The lady at the front desk, the lady with curly hair and glasses is extremely rude. All of the staff is rude. AN HOUR. AFTER AN HOUR, of questions, blood pressure, urine sample, she's telling me to go to my primary care doctor and get ultrasounds and all this testing done. and i told her "i'm here for the covid test" some blonde chick goes "oh i didn't know that's why you were here, yeah we can't do it. you don't have symptoms." THESE ARE SYMPTOMS YOU DUMBASS. ABSOLUTE BULL. i've had ultrasounds done, ekgs done, all sorts of testing done, why the HELL WOULD I KEEP GETTING THEM DONE IF CLEARLY NOTHING IS FOUND THROUGH THOSE. don't waste your time here. I drove down to fastmed, and they are 100% on giving me the covid test. I recently visited the location due to an issue I had with my throat. I was examined, tested for covid and strep. Both came back negative thankfully, but was sent on my way with no prognosis or diagnosis as to what the issue was or what I should do to remedy the problem. I was not prescribed any antibiotics or anything that remotely would help. I assume they thought I was there for drugs because of the way they handled my condition but I do not use any drugs and I don't even drink. I provided a valid and current insurance card. So it is very disappointing that I expect to receive a bill shortly for a service that provided me with no relief or understanding of my condition. I do not intend to consider visiting this particular facility in the future should I need care. read more

UPDATE: The situation is now resolved. Thank you. 5 stars for problem solving skills and an apology from me to Aurelie for her being put in the middle of something she had nothing to do with On thursday, my son was in and was diagnosed with pneumonia.The next day I noticed red spots starting to for so I called the providers back and they were very helpful is getting another antibiotic because these spots were signs of allergies to the first one. Then this morning they spread everywhere. To make sure there was nothing else I could do before I took him to the ER, I called this branch with intentions to tell them he was worse this time and to speak to a nurse. Aurelie answered and as I start to explain what is happening she says "Well what does his paperwork say" I told her that this was different than the paperwork and start to give her my sons birthdate to look up his file since that is usually the first thing the front desk clerks do and she interrupts me to say "Well, it should say on his paper work you were sent home with and that you need to follow up with his PCP" I told her that she wasn't understanding and she would understand if she pulled up his file because the info was different that when we were there. She cut me off again and thats when I told her to have a nice day. After I took my son to the hospital, I drove to this location to get her name. I relayed very calmly even though I was super upset that she was very unprofessional and I was incredibly disappointed in the way I was treated. I very directly told her I was going to be calling corporate over the way she treated me before even listening to 3 words that came from me. Do not go here! I went in for a ear infection and the doctor didn't even look at my ears and said I had a virus and it would be better in a few days. I paid 75$ for absolutely nothing. I've been so sick and he didn't ask me any questions or anything about my symptoms. If you want to get answers of why you are sick do not go here. read more

This place is a complete RIPOFF. I have a piece of glass in my foot. when I called these clowns and descibed the situation they assured me they could take care of it for $150. and that their xray equipment could detect any glass no problem. After they charged my debit card $150 I got to see a P/A who took xray then told me glass was not detectable by their xray equipment. Long story short I received no care from this place and lost $150. Which I could really use for my injured foot. Now I realize I should have used a credit card so I could stop payment. Been here three times. I don't have a doctor yet because I'm new to the area...so this is my only option right now. Based on the reviews I decided to give it a shot. The wait is usually long. I've had to wait up to 45 min or longer almost every time. Being ignored for 10 min while standing at the counter after first walking in wasn't appreciated either. I've decided to stop going here because every time I've been diagnosed, in my opinion incorrectly, and given harsh medications that have horrible side effects that I'm still suffering from (and the reason for one of my visits). After my third visit, and given a prescription for a medication that I've never heard of and after furthur research has horrible side effects- I'm done with this place. I've never had such odd experiences at an urgent care before. Based off of MY experience at least, it seems that the drs aren't too careful about what diagnoses/medicines they're handing out. I would normally give a 5 star to this facility, however very frustrated with this place since becoming Banner... My husband went to this facility on Sat 09/17 to get looked at for a sinus issue. Hoping to get his meds and be on his way, well took his stats, etc and had a little dizziness(cause of the infection), blood pressure was high due to him running down there to get help, but did not.... the PA freaked...then proceeded to take a EKG, etc...Charged us $75.00 for NOTHING and before he knew it he was calling me to take him to the hospital. So we go to the hospital as asked to.... get to Banner Baywood, where we told to go cause it was a heart hospital. Waited 2 hours before getting any help... Hospital Dr was VERY surprised looking at this EKG that they would send my husband to the hospital for nothing. The Dr at the hospital found nothing that should have really alarmed them at the urgent care. What the dr think they found something on the EKG that was old. So whoever read that EKG needs to go back to school. After all said and done and $1300.00 + $75.00 = $1375.00 still with no resolution... my husband gets put on a flovent/steroid for fluid behind his ear(another dizzy factor) and sent home after another EKG, etc etc.... another couple of weeks pass he continues to not feel good. Goes to his primary doctor to spend more money and now has a sinus infection like he knew he had on 09/17/17. Now here it was the first week of October, goes to dr gets a c-pac to be on for 4 days. I am Very upset with the money charged/spent and still had to spend more money to finally get results for my husband. now the c-pac is almost done that was prescribed by the hospital he finally feeling better without a steroid. read more

I was traveling via motorhome and stopped in to get checked out for what turned out to be bronchitis. Staff and Dr were very helpful. Got meds plus they followed up on my recovery twice via phone. Would definitely recommend since as a pharmacist I have an appreciation for knowledgeable and friendly service. Dr definitely was knowledgeable and communicated her thoughts for therapy. read more

I had to take my daughter in for an ear infection. They weren't too busy and we were in and out in about an hour with one patient in front of us. The staff were all extremely friendly. The nurse and doctor were both very patient with my daughter despite her fussing and kicking because she was scared and not feeling well. The biggest plus was that they were able to fill my daughter's prescription right there and I didn't have to go wait an hour at Walgreens. This will definitely be our first choice for future urgent care visits. read more
