I would not recommend going here. I came here for an urgent prescription that I needed and was told by my PCP that I could get from an urgent care. The medical assistant, Lori, was initially very friendly, but when I told her why I had come to the urgent care, her mannerism changed at the drop of a pin. She was extremely rude, using a condescending and hostile tone to tell me that this was not an urgent matter, that they could not help me, and that I had been misinformed. While I understand that they could not provide this service and appreciate that information. This could have and should have been communicated in a much more courteous manner. read more

This seems to be the location I frequent. I am uncertain whether it is the closest one but I am familar with this location at this point. I took The Kid in yesterday for xrays, but they didn't have a tech in. I called a few other locations today because they were closed by the time I was looking. After my second call with no tech, they indicated Scottsdale and Shea had one in today. And thus we reutned. He stated the tech was kind but didn't have everything she required to provide him with the services he needed. She completed her work up and sent out an order for him. Unfortunately, she suggested the ER. I just wish it was the ER around the corner from my house, not the one from the urgent care. All good, just made for a reeeeeeeeeally long afternoon and evening. If there is any reason to keed to go back, it is certainly faster than the hospital. read more

I said that's fine if you want to but these appointments cost me 60$ so please put in my original prescription as well, he said I'm not going to do that because I'm right and every other doctor you've seen for 3 years that have actually helped you recover from this issue was wrong and I actually am right I'm not willing to admit my diagnosis is wrong." I said can't you just do both so that if yours isn't working then I don't have to spend 60$ on another appointment, he said "nope I'm not willing to do that if mine doesn't work then come back in and then once you pay 60$ again then I will write you the prescription that works." Then when I tried to get help with a different issue he basically said get some eyedrops from Walgreens, didn't even closely look at my eye to see an issue. I called ahead, hoping to get a couple questions answered. To my surprise, I got through almost immediately to a real person, who was actually in the office. She was very helpful and encouraged me to make an appointment online (but said walk-ins are welcome also). This location had imaging available today, Saturday. Check in was helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. We were in and out quickly and given priority because we'd made an appointment online ahead of time. Terrible experience yesterday & I wish I had read other reviews before going. Making an appointment was easy and the wait time was low; however, you see a nurse practitioner who doesn't listen to you. She interrupted me twice when I was trying to explain what was going on. What urgent care doesn't listen to a patient to hear what is happening? Then when she suggested Sudafed, I asked her if there are any other options bc I had been using Sudafed for 4 days with no relief. Instead of offering any suggestions or even nicely saying "no, this is really the best option." She rudely told me that she can't do anything else for me and she isn't a specialist. I am aware you aren't a specialist, but I thought urgent care might answer one question and try to offer other options to elevate pain. When she told me the second time that she couldn't do anything else I left. I could hear her immediately talking about me to the other workers in the inner lobby loudly, saying "well, she's pissed" . Who says pissed in a professional doctors office? Plus, HIPPA? Don't talk about patients when other patients can hear. It was such a shady and unhelpful place. read more

Found the staff to be very impersonal and uncaring. I had a very long wait time with an appointment and the place was bare. They had no idea if their business was in network for my insurance. Not at all happy with Vanessa Swanson, the nurse practitioner. She was not friendly, not a good communicator, and not open to discussing alternatives to the many drugs she wanted to prescribe. It seemed like no one there was competent in their job. Also, this location is old and dingy with dimmer lighting. I had a really bad experience and don't plan to return. I went to this Urgent Care to have a urine test for UTI. There were no Dr.s or PA. I put in a room with a video camera. PA came on in 10 minutes, she said hello and we were disconnected, internet went down. I never received urine results through a phone call, as they have recorded. I called today 3 weeks later. Results negative. I had already gone to a Honor health and results were positive. This Urgent care needs to be reviewed by state board. read more

I went to urgent care at Scottsdale and shea, I have bronchitis and have had difficulty sleeping because of constant cough. Previously I'd been prescribed an inhaler and a codeine cough medicine. Both were effective so I requested same. Nurse who was about 25, Mary told me "I don't prescribe codeine cough medicine". Wtf? I'm getting pretty sick of nurses who choose not to use tools that have been successful. I'm not a drug addict. I'm only giving a negative review due to the billing office. I have had my FSA issue multiple checks to the address listed on the bill, and I'm still getting bills saying this was never paid. DONT COME HERE. Extremely bad service. I had an appointment with Banner Urgent Care at 7952 N 43rd Ave., Glendale, AZ 85308 at 4:30pm on 3/6/25. I came to my appointment 15' as per requested. I waited until 5:45pm but still not able to see any physician. That's 1.5 hours late. I came to ask the nurse, she replied with a cold tone "everyone busy, if you are in a hurry to go elsewhere, we wont stop you". She acted as if waiting for 1.5 hours is totally normal; regardless I had an appointment. When the physician Jacqueline Cook showed up, she rushed in and out and finished it in a couple minutes, literally. She did not show care at all. When I notified her that the asthma inhaler she prescribed, Albuteral, would not work for me. Ventolin works many times better in my case. She agreed to switch for me, but once I got my inhaler from the pharmacy, I found out by surprise that she did not switch as she promised. My husband and I were here yesterday with similar symptoms. We were not taken back for at least an 1 1/2 hours . The nurse practitioner was nice but she did not write correct notes about my complaints . She gave us both COVID tests a flu test for my husband not me She gave my husband a prescription to make him feel better not an antibiotic she gave me nothing Today I was feeling miserable. I was up all night sick. I made an appointment for 9 o'clock and they didn't put me back in the room till after 10. I wanted a flu and strep test. It is now two hours later and I'm still sitting in the room sick and feeling awful. I just asked for some kind of a medication so that I possibly wasn't up all night and my throat wasn't hurting so bad this nurse practitioner was unlike the last one very short. I'm not asking for any kind of medication such as a sleeping pill just something to ease my discomfort. I saw people walking in in front of me without an appointment and being. Well I had 101.5 fever and I had the flu. My husband went to the MinuteClinic and he had the flu. I was prescribed Tamiflu. So I spent a total of almost 4 hours waiting there if not longer. I would have started my recovery quicker. I do not live in Arizona when I came home. I had to go to urgent care for a different issue. I waited 10 minutes was properly diagnosed and notes were posted on the Web site for Dr to look at in case I had further problems Never never go there read more

It's been a month now and still no results for my covid tests. When I posted a review stating this Banner immediately replied here with an email address to contact and they would "resolve" the issue. It's been over a week now of me emailing them and they reply "we are working on your issue" and I still don't have my covid test results or even any answer why nobody can give me an answer. Very disappointed! Maria or Marie who answered my call was very rude. I had concerns about my adult daughter who was just seen and was not given any information. She has an ear infection and has had chronic ear infections. Which she told the provider. He didn't see an ear infection and prescribed allergy medication. She has no allergies and no history or allergies. When i called the office i said my daughter is a new adult 19 and im following up because maybe she didn't relay the information? Maria/Marie was so not helpful and said he will not prescribe medication if he doesn't see an infection. Im sorry but her ear infections are internal usually because of her past. And history. I said well she paid 65$ for information that was not correct. She basically said my daughter needs to follow up with her primary physician. I just can't believe the condescending manner she spoke to me and what a waste of time and money for my daughter. I could write this forever but if anyone reads this - just don't go. After reading the reviews and my experience i will never let my daughter come here again. I work in the health field and do a lot of provider credentialing - and i see this type of "care" all the time. Really sucks read more

*update* I originally post a positive review because the staff was great but it's been four days and I have yet to receive my results. I've been trying to get in contact with the office for two days and NONE of the numbers listed on the site work and/or are answered which is extremely unprofessional especially mid pandemic. This was one of my better urgent care experiences anywhere. The walk-in wait time was short (~20 minutes) even though they provided an 1 1/2 hour wait time. All the staff was friendly and the nurse practitioner did a thorough job evaluating me and explaining treatment. read more

If you are someone who requires a bare minimum amount of patience from health care professionals this is not the place for you. I have a horrible ear infection and they needed to swab my nose and throat. I warned the woman helping me that it might take a minute because I get very anxious and my automatic reaction is to back up. She got frustrated, stormed out of the room, and sent someone else in and apparently told them I "didn't want the test". I had to explain 3 times to this new woman that YES I did want the test, it just takes a little bit longer. After the second woman got my swab she came out and literally made fun of me saying "I got it!" To the rest of the staff. Overall just a super crappy experience with rude staff when im already in the worst pain I've ever experienced. Usually have had good experiences here too so it was shocking. read more

Came in with a broken ankle and was on the phone with my boss trying to distract myself from the pain and the awful woman, Lorie, in the front had me hang up the phone to take my ID and insurance card.... just to sit back down again. Then there was a nice old couple who had a cold or flu who she scolded for not wearing and carrying face masks as they were leaving. The old gentleman had decided he wanted to get an antibiotic shot in the clinic as opposed to driving 30 minutes to pick it up at a CVS. She condescendingly has reminded him where it was and that they could go pick them up... lol. I won't be back again. I am a family physician who works in Gilbert, and I wanted to leave information about a less than adequate experience 1/15/22 at the Banner Urgent Care at 10330 N. Scottsdale Rd. My mother had been bitten by a dog on her foot and bleeding was not stopping. Arrived at 8:45 pm (office hours listed until 9 pm) and the office was very much made to look closed, with minimal lighting indoors, neon "OPEN" sign off. Receptionist was very helpful and pleasant, but the remainder of staff was very clearly unhappy at having to care for a patient as they were getting ready to go home. A medical assistant sternly told me that only one person was allowed to go back with the patient (I was the only one with her, my father remained in the waiting room completing forms). As they started removing the dressing, I asked to have something placed under my mother's foot for support (instead of my 76 y.o. mother having to hold her own leg up weakly), but the MA argued with me, stating she didn't want blood to get on the exam room items. She continued to argue with me stating my mother hadn't said that lifting her leg in the air was uncomfortable. (Know your patients and try to provide care before they are uncomfortable!). Finally the wound was soaked for about 2 minutes in a shallow Betadine bath without any flushing. The foot was barely examined by the provider (I believe it was a mid-level of some sort, as she was introduced by name and not title), no exam for being neurovascularly intact, no exam of range of motion, no exam of depth of wound (2" bleeding laceration on the side of the foot with significant initial swelling and bruising across entire foot from associated crush injury with teeth of dog). The provider said, "It's not broken" without any real evaluation for this and my mother was bandaged up and handed her antibiotic prescription as she was escorted out. I will note one MA actually cleaned out my mother's shoe and gave us the left over dressing supplies, which was very nice. Yet the feeling from the majority of the staff was one of irritation instead of care. The midlevel was pleasant enough but rather ineffectual, and the one MA was extremely inappropriate and I would not wish her care on any of my patients (much less my mother). Today was the second time I felt rushed to get out and given whatever medication without the doctor hearing me out or much explanation unless I kept asking why I was being prescribed it. The other time was the opposite where the doctor seemed to need to know about my whole life history medically for a cold. Took my daughter in for severe stomach pains. I made an appointment online after her telling me earlier to come back later after making appointment online we would get in faster. The lady "checked" her in and we waited almost two hours before I asked her why everyone who came in after us was being seen. She "didn't see her in the system" HOW is that possible after she advised earlier to come back after making appointment to "get seen faster" horrible excuses and unprofessional. She had the audacity to say "we won't even be able to help her so..." Was then told she had "acid reflux" which is impossible with where the stomach pain was. After getting another opinion and x-rays she had an obstructed bowel. Horrified that this was so easily "diagnosed" for something it couldn't have been per another doctor. read more

It was probably better for me to come back another day the way the service I received was handled. This is the first time ever leaving a review on Yelp, I feel urged to do so, so that no one will have the same experience as I did. I've never been treated so poorly ever. Someone at my office just got strep throat. Unfortunately at the same time, my boyfriend just got COVID. I do not live with him and got a COVID test 6 days after being exposed to him and it was negative. I have not seen him since. I wanted to come in and get a strep test and a second COVID test incase it was strep and I needed to get on antibiotics. A woman by the name of Lori was at the front desk- I called her from outside asking if I should come inside or I should wait in my car (as many other doctors offices are doing right now) she quickly was demeaning and rude right off the bat. I know it is a stressful time so I tried to shrug it off. I got inside to check in and told her why I was there. She rolls her eyes and walks over to the doctor and starts talking about me to them RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME?! I was shocked!!! I've never had this happen in my life. I told her it was pretty rude and unprofessional that she would be talking badly about a customer right in front of them. She proceeded to raise her voice, belittle me and tell me she deals with people "like me" all day. I told her with tears streaming down my eyes how I had never been treated so poorly and she had no remorse. She didn't care one bit. After her and I went back and fourth for a bit, I ended up walking out because i was a mess and In complete shock. I did not feel comfortable enough to even go through with my appointment. I will never ever step foot back in there. I made another appointment at a different urgent care (not this company) for the same thing and I know they will take care of me and treat me with respect as a customer, much less respect just as a human being. As I said, I understand nurses and medical staff are stressed during these times but this type of behavior is completely not okay. Truly concerning for other patients who come in here. To the supervisors at this location, please review the cameras and see how your employees are treating their customers. It is shocking, appalling and unprofessional. The one good thing was that service was very quick. That could have been because we went during the Super Bowl, but still, only 10 minute wait to see a provider is awesome. The worst thing about this visit was the medical technician. She was so impersonal and obviously just terrible with people. She took my boyfriends vitals and didn't say a word about what they were. Her questions were cold and uncaring. She looked at me with suspicion when I tried to help him answer some of the questions since he's not the best at communicating how he's feeling. Look, people who come to urgent care don't want to be there. At least treat them kindly to make the experience a little bit better. The doctor was fine. In my opinion, I think he didn't take enough time to examine his patient (probably 3 minutes total) before prescribing him FIVE different meds. Absolutely the worst urgicare I have been too. The timing on the door said 8 am but they didn't open until 820am when the NP got there. The lady in the front checking patients in has to be the rudest, most condescending staff member I have ever come across. There is no compassion and definitely no inclination to make the experience a positive one for the patient. Will never use this place again. read more
