Wait over 1/2 hr to get X-ray when referred. No one in the waiting room. If I wanted to waste time I would've gone to the emergency room

I had a recent unfortunate accident involving ti leaves, very sharp kitchen shears, and my hand. That's what I get for making lau lau while there's a toddler and 2 dogs running around getting into everything! After rinsing my hand off as best as I could and wrapping it up, we headed to Urgent Care. I was pleasantly surprised that the assistant and doctor saw us minutes after I gave the front desk person my insurance information and ID. The assistant took down my vitals and asked about what happened. A short time later the doctor walked in saying "So I hear someone's been running around with scissors." Ha! I probably would have been in a better mood to receive this dad humor had my hand not been in throbbing pain. He was professional, answered any questions I had, and 3 stitches later I was ready to be released back into the urban jungle :p While I appreciate the care I received the actual building is in real need of renovation. Everything was really shabby looking and the room I was in didn't even have a running sink! It made scrubbing up a bit of a surreal experience watching the doctor rub disinfectant onto his hands to do a minor surgical procedure rather than washing them in a sink. Good thing it was just a cut on my hand and not life saving surgery! read more

Update.. made an appointment for a COVID test for my kids. Our "Appointment" was 40 minutes ago and we are still sitting here waiting around other people!! If you're looking to get COVID testing done where the medical office cares about getting you tested quickly without exposing any other people to COVID-19, look somewhere else. read more

While I am sitting in the waiting room I have heard her talk shit about multiple patients as if they weren't here and making fun of every patient that called over the phone. It was urgent and they cared for me! I waited a decent time before being seen. Had my appointment and left. No "white glove" service. It's urgent care. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the seating is limited. I'm sure it's do to COVID but if 100+ people can sit in an airplane for 5 hours with masks, they should be able to sit in an urgent care with masks. God bless! read more

Please note that this review is based on a sports injury, and not related to sickness or illnesses. I played in a basketball tournament over the weekend back in October, sprained my foot and felt a pop in my foot. I had immediate pain and had to sit out the majority of the tournament. Waking up the next day, my foot was visibly swollen and a little red on the top of my foot and was also tender to palpation on a specific area. It was also painful to walk, and I had a limp. After filling out paperwork and being taken back, the nurse practitioner saw me. After taking some vitals, I gave her the history of how I injured my foot (basically the above paragraph). Knowing that it's a sports injury, I was expecting a much better diagnosis than what she gave me. She focused in on the redness and swelling, but disregarded the mechanism of injury. She ended up giving me an antibiotic prescription for CELLULITIS in my foot. Seriously? I hurt my foot playing basketball and that's the best differential diagnosis? I understand that NP's aren't as experienced with musculoskeletal injuries, but this is a time when common sense should overrule the differential diagnosis that came to mind in her head. Luckily for me, I have an extensive background in the medical field, and knew that cellulitis is definitely NOT what I had. In the end, I had to ask for crutches because they didn't even offer me crutches after I limped into the clinic. 0/5 for knowledge and quality of care. read more

This office is typically pretty slow so I expected to wait a bit when coming in today. Today i waited a little over 2 hours before receiving care after watching 4 paitents who arrived after me receive care before me. This will be my last time visiting this urgent care. read more

WORST URGENT CARE EVER!! DON'T COME IN HERE!! I came in for Bell's palsy And if you know Bell palsy half your face is numb and talking is not the greatest but I tried my best to explain what I had at the front desk girl. She chuckled a little than proceeded to say 'what? I don't understand you' well duh I'm trying my best to speak!! Waited about 15 mins, got a nurse that didn't even look at me when asking me questions, had her back to me, asked me 3 questions. Didn't take my temperature but put on their that I had a 100 degree fever. Doctor came in and had asked me 'so you have a history of this?' and I stated no... I never experienced this at all. She was under the impression from what the nurse said that I did. WRONG. So she had me explain when I started the symptoms. As I go to explain I had a migraine on the left side of my head Sunday night she goes into explaining to me that the correct term is a headache not a migraine unless I have had a doctor diagnose me with that... already rude. After explaining my symptoms she diagnosed me with Bell's palsy. Now at the end of the visit she gives me a note to give to my work and the medicine I would be taking. Great got out - no problem. As I'm already home and on my medication, I look at my note and it has a MALE's name on it... the doctor had not changed the previous clients info on the note so I received someone else's confidential information (birthday, address, name, etc). I called immediately informing them of this mistake and asking them to email me the correct note thinking that they would be apologetic about it. NOPE. They also informed me they couldn't email it to me and that I had to come back in to grab it. Furious, had to take an Uber since I couldn't drive on medicine, they didn't care. As I go in the lady tried to ask me for the mistaken note back... I told them I don't have it. Tried to give me a different note with different info than what the doctor told me with NO SIGNATURE... so they had to redo that one. TERRIBLE PLACE!!! Rude check in lady, rude nurse, rude doctor and even when I simply just wanted my note fixed the lady was so rude about it!! Like it was my fault for getting the wrong note!!! read more

My wife and I dropped in about 11:45 AM on the Friday after Thanksgiving Day! We had checked another 3 clinics prior to this, all closed for the holiday. It appeared relatively quiet and we were told we could be seen in a couple of hours. I said "good, we will be back then". I was told that to be seen we would have to stay there! We waited close to 3 hours before they took us back. We persevered because we had come down with a cough and chills and a mild fever a couple of days prior and wanted Covid 19 screening. The waiting room was very big and chairs were scattered safely throughout. The receptionist was pleasant and patient and started our paperwork. When completed we just sat and sat for 2 1/2 hours. The room seemed to get colder and colder. We were then ushered into the back and a technician took our vitals and history. He read from his computer, our individual histories and medications!!! I was surprised how much correct info he had on us! No doctor was involved, but the female Patient Assistant was kind, thorough and knowledgeable! She ran a nasal swab test for Covid and informed us of how we would get the results the next day by telephone or online. I now understood why we waited so long to be seen. Thorough exam usual B/P, finger clip that showed our blood oxygen levels, listened to our chests, peeked into our mouths and eyes and ears all takes a bit of time. We have nothing to complain about other than the time spent. I would give them five stars for the nice job they did! read more

My husband (who is a high school teacher and football coach) and I went in because his foot was hurting so bad he can barely walk. The staff was immediately rude. After waiting for 2 hours, they pulled him to the back around 7:30p and diagnosed him with gout. They called in a prescription and told him it will be ready in 45 minutes. THE PHARMACY CLOSED AT 8p AS DOES THIS JOKE OF AN URGENT CARE. I couldn't get the prescription transferred to a 24hr pharmacy because they already processed it prior to closing. It is now almost 9p on a school night and he cannot sleep or walk and will have no hope of any relief to be there for his kids tomorrow. Terrible experience here. read more

If I could give zero start I would, the receptionist is horrible. Yes I did come shortly before it was about to close but I came in because of my asthma and I'm constantly wheezing. Healthcare has a lot of unpredictable situations, this is what you signed up for. Don't get mad at me or have an attitude because you have to do the job that you signed up for. The doctor was even very dismissive and rushed through my care, definitely will not come back to this location. Or Banner for that matter, I have heard nothing but horrible things about Banner. Had "reservation" for 8:40 this morning. Sign posted indicate they are open at 8:00 am. Hah! Not the case. Door locked and 5 people waiting. A person finally knocked. Admin desk person came out and said he couldn't open doors as no other staff was there! Seriously? How is that possible when I had a reservation. I mentioned this to the surly admin guy and he said, "first of all it's an appointment, not a reservation." Whatever dude. It's a matter of semantics. I asked where the docs were and he said he didn't know. "Did they call?" I asked. He said no. What the heck? No way to run this business. Sorely disappointed. Date of visit is March 28. I think the office needs a reprimand. I won't be going there again. It's been my go to urgent care since Banner opened at this location. Will not recommend to friends either. I was upset from the start. What is the point of having mobile insurance cards if you can't use them. Normally I have a paper card. It it was the second of the year. No one has been back to work or had paper insurance cards. I took a few days to write this to have less bias about my experience. I had to pay full price (and file a claim with my insurance to be reimbursed) because I can't use mobile cards. Why is a hospital as large as banner not able to do things electronically. No one seemed to care like "Sorry.. *shruggs*" was the response I would get. I def need to find another urgent care. read more

Came in thinking my daughter had one thing and turns out she doesn't. But I had Brian come in and explain all the things to look for and pay close attention to. Also was super kind and genuinely good person all the way around. It's good to know there are still good people out here in this crazy world. Not only that but Joseph at the front needed me to fill out paperwork and I was sitting in my walker due to having knee surgery and he came all the way around and handed me the clip board with my cards and paperwork that I needed to fill out. Went here the other day because I smashed my finger in my car door and the whole nail turned purple. I decided to come here because it was close by. Luckily there was no other patients waiting so I was seen fairly quickly. The staff besides the front desk girls were pleasant and were attentive to my needs. The PA, Amanda D was great and very thorough. The others were just as great too! I would definitely come back if I needed help and am in the area. They even called me 2 days later to follow up! If I could give a 0 stars I would. I took my son last week for an x-ray since he got hurt playing soccer. It was urgent for us to know if it was broken because he had a tournament last Saturday and I had paid 900 to the club for those expenses. Well they took an x-ray and the doctor in charged said that it was NOT broken, 2 days later I took that xray to my son's podiatrist who told me he needed to retake xrays since those were fuzzy. And my son DID have a fracture and needs a surgery. So, now I am not sure if I am going to receive any money back from the Club thanks to Banner Urgent Care. came in because i have been sick for a long time. waited over 2 hours in the lobby because people who are able to make appointments get precedent. which doesn't make sense since this is an urgent care facility and not a normal doctors office? people came in hours after me and were seen before me. despite me coughing, crying, having hot and cold flashes in the lobby. came in at 4 left at 6:45pm. when i left i noticed a medication i desperately needed for my nausea was not listed on my outpatient paperwork. went back inside and told the front desk lady who was rude to me since i first arrived, she didnt say anything and went into the back for 10 mins. came back and she told me they would fix it. i went to pick up my script the next day and guess what! it wasnt at the pharmacy. terrible quality of care, lack of staffing and inappropriate benefits for those who have the time and electronics to schedule ahead. leaves normal folk in the dust. if youre coming MAKE AN APPOINTMENT or expect to wait 2+ hrs to be seen and not really be helped. read more

DO NOT GO!! Walk in for ingrown toe nail. Have avoided doctors, hospitals, urgent cares ALL YEAR due to COVID. Told PA? limping AFFECTS bad knees, hips, back, that I'm on my feet for 12 hr night shift. I have had ingrown b4 which I try to trim b4 it gets too bad but my shoes were rubbing my toe and at work last night, excruciating pain. PA said she normally refers me to foot dr. but since I was so "ADAMENT" she'll remove it! Guess she didn't HEAR any of the other AFFECTS. She is getting really comfy doing a 5 second nasal swab and NOT CARING! Plus, didn't see anyone wiping down chairs in lobby after people sat in them to get COVID test!! If I could give no stars I would. I went in with flu like symptoms and I wanted to get covid tested as a precaution. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and treated me like a nuisance. After I left I called back 2 days later to see how I would receive my covid test results since I was not given any information, and they said tests are usually back after 24 hours but nothing was sent in under my name. So you're telling me on Wednesday a nurse performed the covid test on me, and never sent it in?! The receptionist said she knew what nurse it could be... meaning this wasn't the first time?? Now I have to go back in and get tested AGAIN. This is ridiculous, it not only affects my health but my work as well. read more

Jesus H Christ I don't know why I came back here instead of just going to Fry's but I have been coughing for 23 days , after contracting bronchitis for a third time in my pregnancy. I finally decided to seek out my usual prescribed remedies as recommended by my OBGYN and came in. There were only 3 patients ahead of me and it took over an hour to get seen. I reiterated several several times my allergies to certain ingredients in cough medicines and that my OB only wanted one specific medicine prescribed to me. I never had my vitals taken, only had my chest listened to and then was told that she could only find the medicine in the system with three letters at the end. I asked" is it just these two ingredients" and she said yes, so I went and I spent $30 on a cough syrup I cannot take !!!!one because I'm allergic to it and two because I am pregnant and it isn't safe!!! This is so reckless and irresponsible and unfair. What am I supposed to do with this ??? I don't understand, I specifically gave the name of the medicine, I specifically said I cannot take anything other than this one medicine because of allergies to the ingredients. This is why I urgent cares have bad names this is why people spend $400 and go to emergency room instead this is why people drive all the way to Chandler instead of this location. this is un-freakin'-believable.. read more

Horrible experience. I tried going to. Amber Childrens Urgent care but they were closed for the whole weekend. I get it. Went to this UC and guess what? You're better off doing telemedicine appointment from your own home rather than coming in here. They are happy to collect your co pay, sit you in a room with a screen to do a telemedicine appointment provide minimal care then send you on your way. read more

Recieved a bill for a balance of $271 for just an urgent care visit- diagnosis was a sinus infection- no tests, just diagnosed by symptoms. Our insurance guarantees urgent care visits are $60. At check in the lady at the front desk took our info and then said a bill would be sent out for the co-pay. Great, except the bill I received today said Southwest Service Admin denied the claim... wellll that's probably because our insurance is with BCBS. Should had read the yelp reviews before bringing my son here. Banner should really get a hold of the incompetence at this location. read more

Mind you I have insurance and my copay is only $25. Drove a few miles up to FastMed and was seen with no issues. Went there before this and was turned away because I did not have an appointment. I ended up having to leave bc there was a long wait, the staff said that they had been busy all morning. Checking in online doesn't get you priority in line and you don't seem to have an advantage. Incredibly overpriced, unfair billing practices. I had a sore throat. They looked at it and gave me a prescription. This happened twice in one month. Now they're billing me $640. That's about 3X the going rate at somewhere like the Minute Clinic. That's 3X what they charged per visit when I visited the same location a couple years ago, saw a _real doctor_, and had much more exotic treatments (for my daughter and allergies). And by the way, I have health insurance. This is a ripoff. They took my insurance, checked it out, and never told me any prices. They charged $260 for the visit and $45 for a strep throat wipe. I had to go twice in one month because of sore throats, and now I'm staring at a bill for $630. My wife went to Minute Clinic and paid under $100 for a visit. My daughter went to this location before Banner owned it and we paid $100 for a visit. Banner Health bought out this place and jacked up the price. It costs triple what it used to. No one told me that. No one told me what it would cost, or gave any indication that it would cost three times what it did just a year or two ago. The staff was nice, the nurses were cool, and the billing people were fine. This is not about them. Banner Health bought this place, increased the prices unconscionably, and I'll never go there again. Yes, I'm mad... I feel they just cheated me out of hundreds of dollars. I pay for health insurance. I would have never gone here if they would have told me their prices. Be careful about this place. read more

I recently went here for a urgent matter. However they did not send my RX to the pharmacy that evening which I urgently needed. I called them before they closed and they stIll didn't send it. The next day, the pharmacy still has not received my prescription and the receptionist did not answer the phone all morning until the afternoon. I must have called 50x. So much for taking care of urgent needs. Make sure you get a hard copy of the prescription despite their commitment to send electronically. They will repeatedly blame the pharmacy or not answer your calls if "they are busy". I left a message to their regional clinical manager and the Banner website but no one called back so they didn't care. Let's see if they respond now that it is public. read more

Excellent! You can hold a slot online so you don't have to wait too long. I checked in online. The front office female was very nice and professional. I waited less than 3 minutes and was taken back. The medical assistant was not compassionate, it seemed like she hated her job. The nurse practitioner Samila Kadri was compassionate, very nice, professional and thorough. She took the time to listen. I would highly recommend coming here. read more
