I've visited Banners many times over the years while camping across the street on Route 16 at Eastern Slopes Campground, which is an easy stroll to walk to. Banners is a bit more removed from downtown North Conway, and therefore is usually less crowded than Peach's (another great breakfast place in North Conway!), and it's also a lot bigger than Peach's, so is better for groups or families. When our pancakes arrived at the table we received no syrup ... then had to ask twice for the syrup, and we got small plastic packaged containers of Log Cabin ... The food was okay but not of great value - go up the road to Glen Junction and you'll get bigger portions for a lower price with a better experience. Great food, great service, great find. We were in the area on a day trip enjoying the scenery in October when we came upon Banners. We stopped because it looked like there wouldn't be a wait. We were pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. We were seated promptly. Our waitress was at our table within minutes. We had some chowder which was good then we had sandwiches. My Monte Cristo was great and the fries were exactly what they should be, crispy and flavorful. Her cheeseburger club was cooked perfectly and she had the same fries. Excellent! We had to wait about 10 minutes but that was OK given how busy it was at 9 o'clock on a Sunday morning. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better place to have brunch. My eggs were cooked perfectly the pancakes were light and fluffy the seasoning was fantastic. My husbands freshly squeezed orange juice tasted like eating a real orange. Last time I was here it was maybe 15 years ago and I ended up with a lap full of syrup as a child... years later i decided to tackle this place again with my girlfriend for breakfast. What can I say I like to live dangerously! Anyways we ordered off the breakfast menu and let's just say we were stuffed like a pig at a roast. The scrambled eggs weren't nothing special, their corned beef hash was a little over seasoned but their pancakes with chocolate chips were amazing. Home fries were decent, the first one I bit into was cold and ruined it for me but the rest of the plate was warm. Fresh squeezed orange juice made to order which isn't bad as long as you don't mind pulp and the occasional seed. Apple juice was great tho. We had a very unpleasant hostess (Misti). She was passive aggressive and refused to seat our party all together. It was a large party and we were willing to wait for two tables near each other, however she said "no, that's not happening" with a bad attitude and a sneer and brought us to two separate tables across the restaurant from each other (even though there was a table not taken that could have seated the other party that was next to us). Our waitress Karen was very accommodating and pleasant however! The food portions were very small (New Englander) and the drink was very weak. We were in Conway on early morning business when I suggested visiting Bea's for breakfast, but instead my husband drove us to the highly visible Banner's Restaurant. Upon entering noted that the place was very clean and that social distancing was being practiced. I ordered coffee and went to the ladies to wash my hands. It was very clean in there as well. When returning to the table the coffee was waiting, but no cream in sight. Patiently waiting while the coffee turned cold for the server to return, I thumbed through the breakfast choices. All seemed very expensive for simple dishes and when Alex, our server returned I ordered 2 eggs sausage and home fries with rye. I asked and received 3 small creamers hand carried and tossed on the table. My plate arrived shortly there after hand carried and gloveless by the same server who plopped it on the table as well. No salt and pepper in sight, again it was a waiting game and wondered why she was gone so long. The Restaurant was not busy. She did not come back to assure all was well. When she did, and then brought two take out portions of salt and pepper clenched in her hand and tossed on the table, my food was stone cold and not appetizing. The home fries tasted like boiled potatoes with a few bits of hard burnt onion scattered about. Although hungry, I couldn't make myself eat. I gave the establishment 2 Stars based on it's clean appearance, however this server did not personally practice safe handling of my food. My husband didn't order anything. For one simple breakfast plate and a cold one I was charged $12.84 and not including tax. I suggest avoiding this location and head to Priscilla's or Bea's instead for a heart breakfast and half the price. read more

I'm giving it two stars because there are some great waitresses and hosts here who provide amazing customer service! However, there is one who really has no personality and is extremely rude! When we were up in North Conway over the summer we tried getting breakfast at a bunch of places right on rt.16 by our hotel but they all had screaming kids in the waiting area & over an hour for wait times. no thank you. So we drove down the road a bit and found Banners, where we walked right in, were seated right away and got phenomenal service. The food was great and we loved the atmosphere, nice and big with a home-like feel. The only reason I can't give 5 stars will sound silly, but it's because their syrup is in little packets which drove my husband crazy. The packets would explode when he'd force it open and when he did get it open, it wouldn't be enough. Otherwise we loved it. We'll definitely be back. read more

My husband and I came here for break fast on a 7degree day. We came in and they sat us right next to the front door so every time someone came in we felt the cold. There were plenty of open seats so we were a little annoyed. As soon as we sit she asks us if we are ready to order. We asked to have a few minutes. The waitress came back not even 2 minutes later and asked us again if we were ready. We weren't, but just picked something because we felt rushed. Then it took forever to get the bill. The food was okay, probably not worth almost $30. We went to peaches the next day and found that to be a more pleasant experience. read more
