We were quickly and warmly greeted by the young woman working behind the desk. She was finishing up an order and then took ours. I always stick to my tried and true favorite of Thai milk tea with boba. I would give my Thai tea a 4/5- it was tasty, but lacked a bit of the stronger/earthy flavors other Thai teas have. My husband got the pineapple tea. He forgot to request boba, so his was just the drink without the bubbles. I liked the stronger flavor of his tea more than mine. The cups were adorable, with cat shaped covers and ears popping up. If you are heading down the shore and are in the mood for a bubble tea, this is a good option. They also offer tangulu (fruit dipped in crunchy, clear sugar coating). We did not try it this time, but I will definitely be back to give it a taste. Delicious food. Fresh veggies cooked to perfection. Chicken dishes have white meat only. Not heavy on the salt. My husband loves the pepper steak dish, I love the sautéed veggies with chicken. Last night we ordered spring rolls and they were not oily. Really delicious. We tried the Bao Buns and loved them. Each dish is Enough for 2 meals. You can also eat in or take out. Prices are great. Stopped by Bao Dumplings & Bao Tea for dinner one day. The staff was incredibly nice. There is a section just for bubble tea orders and the remainder of the space is the restaurant. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, wontons in spicy sauce, and noodle soup in spicy sauce. The dumplings were delicious and perfect for a cold day! I wish the broth in the noodle soup was a bit more thick because the flavor was there but it felt a little diluted. read more

Good boba drinks, but all of the bao were awful. We did not like the bao buns or the soup dumplings! Not enough flavor on buns and the soup dumpling used thick flour-based dough like a Cracker Barrel dumpling and not the traditional thin skins. I did enjoy the regular dumplings we tried and the option for an assorted dumpling sampler as well as ability for steam or fry. But I don't think worth the trip here or the cost of overall for 3 adults $120. Also the price is too high for plain vegetable entree with rice, if not meat it should be cheaper. Recently, I have switched to ordering online due to the convenience of it. It was my first time purchasing food here and the bao buns are absolutely delicious. I also ordered the gluten sensitive friend rice and it was amazing. They have plenty of gluten free options, which is wonderful, especially since this one of the few places that have gluten free dishes like this. The portion since is also large, which is perfect for leftovers! The leftovers are also delicious the next day and do not lose the flavor and the rice does not become squishy. The only thing that really upset me, was that when I asked her to please raise the heat (it was very cold in the restaurant), she didn't. All of the food was ok but a bit greasy. We also ordered tea and a fruit slush. My son loved his fruit slush, I thought it was very sweet. My other son ordered a matcha tea which he really enjoyed. I ordered a milk tea with boba. The milk tea was very good but the boba was really chewy and not edible. The one thing we all LOVED was the tanghulu. It's not something easy to find in this area and honestly surprising to find here. The staff: The girl was not very talkative and only asked me if I was picking up an order or if I was placing an order to go. She told me that there were some stuff that was not on the menu but is in front of the register. She didn't even ask me if this was my first time here or if she can recommend anything to me. Mango Tea Lemonade: It didn't really have a taste of mango in it and it tasted like a mixture of lemonade or a sparkling drink. The cashier recommended for me to get the bursting boba in the lemonade drink; and that was a bad recommendation as it did not taste good at all. I think the drink would have tasted better without the bursting boba. Chicken with Corn Dumplings: I seriously thought this was going to be something else. It is basically a chicken dumpling with corn inside. The boiled version tasted just OK. I think it probably would have tasted better if it was fried instead. Overall: I think the drinks and the dumplings may need a little more work to it and that it was not worth the price that I had paid. This little place doesn't look like much from outside but upon entry you realize the place is very big inside. The decor is very nice but not too much which is nice. Our sever was amazing and probably the nicest man I've ever met in my life and was very attentive to what we needed. The food was all very good and out of all the things we tried there was nothing that I had a single complaint about. The beef noodles were probably the best noodles I've ever had. The Bao chicken was also amazing and unique in flavor. The various dumplings and Bao buns were also amazing. I think the price is very good for what you get and I don't know how this place isn't completely packed all day long. I like their ordering style in such that they give you a menu and you circle what you want. The waiter then comes to pick up your slip. We ordered a variety of things: dumplings, beef & broccoli, fried rice, boba tea, sesame noodles...all delicious and fresh. No one told us but the portions are family size. So if you do order a variety, make sure you leave room in your stomach. They do give you containers to take food home, which was nice. We had a very enjoyable and tasty experience.
