I really wanted bubble tea and was in the area so we stopped in here. The bubble tea was just ok and the service was fine. When we came we were literally the only patrons in the whole place. They are more of a restaurant with a bubble tea shop called "J-Bubble Tea" located inside. I can appreciate that they aren't really specializing in boba but are really meant for food and just happen to offer boba tea. I haven't tried their food so I can't attest to how that is but I probably will not return for their boba anytime soon. read more

To begin with, the Chinese food was very good. My complaint is with DOORDASH. They seem to employ people who have a very difficult time speaking English and understanding English. The person that delivered food was one who could not understand me . I tried calling on the phone but again, without being able to speak English it was a waste of time. Now to be clear the order was for roughly $35.00 , and I gave him a 10.00 tip. That tip is simply to make the delivery without any problems. The driver was Asian which is fine, my point is if I moved to China and worked as a delivery person, I'd be expected to understand their language. For the last three years, I have tried this restaurant a few times. It has always been hit or miss. Sometimes, it is so delicious and right on the mark. And then there are the other times... I had food delivered tonight that was not good. The dumplings were barely steamed, full of dough, and had no taste. The dumplings didn't even come with a sauce for dipping. The boneless spare ribs were overcooked and dry. Again, no sauce. The house lo mein was tasteless with no vegetables and barely any meat. I'm sad and I will explain at the end. I guess it's been decades since I ate here, probably with my dad. It now looks like a take out place. I thought for sure they would have great lobster sauce, but no. Thin, no ground pork, no corn starch, no garlic, no nothing except for green peas and some water chestnuts. So disappointing. Why you ask ? Because. Because this restaurant, possibly a previous owner, was featured in a movie called "In Search of General Tso". I believe it's free on Youtube. When that movie came out some years ago, maybe 10, I immediately recognized the store front and sign. People thought I was nuts, but I'm not. So I assumed, from the movie, and from the amazing shots of General Tso Chicken from Jade Palace, that the food would still be good, like old time NYC good. The shrimps are fresh and big, but the lobster sauce, the lobster sauce, is more like, let me quote a Big Bang Theory episode, Mobster sauce, because all the proper ingredients are missing, stolen, gone. This is our take out spot but we decided to cater a family get together from them. We placed the order a few days ahead of time with a pickup time 30 mins after they opened. I showed up at the exact time and everything was done and packed. The food was fresh and hot and amazing as always. They also didn't forget anything, which we know is so rare. Probably some of the worst Chinese food I've had. Even grading on a curve, knowing that this is American-style Chinese food, it was seriously underwhelming and overpriced. They say they're Sichuan and Cantonese (very different cuisines) so I ordered the quintessential Sichuanese kung pao chicken which is normally a spicy dish but this one was so bland and didn't even have any peppercorns or chilis in it - just that generic "brown sauce" that you see in a lot of Chinese takeouts, and even that was kind of congealed and relatively cold. For what we paid, we could've had way more authentic Sichuan fare at Jinli in Marlboro, but they were closed this day so we gave this place a try. Wrong move. Never again. read more

We live in Jackson and made the trip for take out because Google gave it 4 out of 5 stars. We ordered mushu pork, cold sesame noodles and chicken with black bean sauce. Cold Sesame noodles were tough and hard , mushu pork was lackluster and bland and the plum sauce that came with the pan cake was thick and you had to use a knife to spread it. The chicken with black bean sauce was bland and the black bean sauce was thin like motor oil. $37.00 in the garbage! Beware I would give it zero stars if I could read more

I drove 20 minutes because we heard great reviews about this take out. BOY WAS EVERYONE WRONG!!! Please keep in mind that my family orders Chinese food once a week. Let's start with the chicken rice soup. 1- there was no chicken at all in it. 2- It looked like it was soaking in pure milk. That's how white colored it was. So I threw that out. My wife ordered wonton soup. Same milky broth but the wonton were like eating gummy bears. They actually stuck to our teeth. so we threw that away as well. My wife ordered 3 pork egg rolls. Guess what? No pork at all and it was pure white on the inside!!! How is this possible??? The rest of the food was just ok at best. Nothing to write home about. Fyi, I never post negative things about a business and this is the first time I'm on yelp. What really turned me off was when I called the restaurant and spoke to a woman about my concerns. She wasn't helpful at all and chose not ro make it right. Instead, she said (you no like my food? No problem, bye bye. Ladies and gentlemen, I can't make this stuff up. Well we are in Corvid 19 stay at home. So we thought we would try the Jade Palace takeout. Here's what we got! Fried Dumplings were spot on! Awesome! Chicken and Broccoli with white sauce and brown rice. Delicious. Order of Broccoli in brown sauce was excellent. Delivered by a cheerful woman with a PPE mask and gloves. Our table was decorated with different lo meins and soups all cooked with asian authenticity. Each and everyone was to die for. 4/5 Service: Our waitress was one of a kind. An older Asian woman took our food order and waited on my party. She was entertaining as well as insightful. I've only ordered take out here during the last few years. The wonton soup is "ok", their steamed dumplings are good, but what I really find very good is their chicken with broccoli. In all the years I've been taking out from here, I always thought it was odd how there was hardly anybody eating there (well before Covid). On occasion I'd see a couple of people eating there but never more then a table or two. I've noticed that they are renovating the place. Maybe the new decor will help. read more

If you're planning to dine-in at this small Chinese restaurant, don't expect to have too much company. Only one other couple was there when my friend and I had dinner here on a Friday night. While we were eating, we did see several people come in for take-out orders, so that is probably where most of their business comes from. We ordered hot and sour soup and the egg drop wonton mix soup, which were both good. The main dishes we shared were shrimp lo mein and Mongolian beef. They both hit the spot, with the perfect amount of shrimp in the lo mein and beautiful presentation of the thinly-sliced beef. The portions were huge, so we had leftovers as well. I enjoyed the food a lot, but boy was I thirsty after! This is the perfect place if you're in the mood for lots of food and quiet company. read more

I've never been to a Chinese restaurant before where every dish had absolutely no flavor. From the eggroll to the soup to the fried rice to the chef special triple crown( which was supposed to be spicy and made even more spicy for me) not only was there no heat/spice but no flavor. And the grand manier shrimp was nothing special to ride home with that either I can also say I won't be returning but the choice is to you. The gentleman behind the desk was very nice and they weren't seating anyone inside it was take out only, but I could probably name half a dozen. less than three star restaurants that have more flavor in their Chinese food then this place Don't waste your money on gas or the meals Not unless they get a chef that can cook read more

Dropped in for dinner Saturday night. At 6:15 we were the only two people in the restaurant. Several other diners arrived during our meal. Hot and sour soup was tasty. We ordered egg rolls, ribs, dumplings, house lo mein and Triple Crown. Our meal was just average. Portions are enough to share. The restaurant is in dire need of updating. The staff was cordial. Well....we walked in tonight two tables in there. The lady at counter was on a LONG personal call, never looked at us, we waited 5 minutes for her to tell us " sit wherever". TWO tables in the place had patrons.....two dirty tables, so we sat at a table for 15 minutes, one waiter, counter woman again on a personal call, we asked for menus and were ignored. 20 minutes spent......thank God no money spent......we found an AWSOME place instead. Placed and order for a egg roll and wonton soup by phone was told ten minutes. I arrived in 10 minutes to find the hostess at the desk trying to sort out a missed order. She was running back and forth to the kitchen. Never even said anything like I wasn't there. After 10 minutes and getting to know the upset costumer next to me who placed an order online that they didn't have. I finally get to ask for my items. Well she looked at me puzzled and said oh well you to wait 10 min. I was completely off put and told them to cancel. Now 25 minutes into getting two items I went the place down the street and I was in and out in less then 5 minutes.... And I ordered at the counter I didn't even call ahead.. NEVER AGAIN read more

Not bad, not great. Pretty standard suburban Chinese food. Some of the dishes (family style tofu and others) come drenched in hoisin sauce, which is strange. Vegetable dumplings seem to be filled with the same sauteed cabbage that is in the vegetable spring rolls, so that was disappointingly repetitive. Vegetable chow fun was better than expected, though! Chow fun is tricky, because it's so delicate and can fall apart as you stir-fry it, but Jade Palace does it well. Ambiance is casual. Service is very good. read more
