The Peruvian rotisserie chicken, cooked over a giant charcoal oven, is both impressive and incredibly delicious. You can really taste the flavor from the cooking method. The vegetables were just as good--perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The carrots and mushrooms were our family favorites. The staff was very nice and helpful, which made the experience even better. The place is spacious and very clean. And we couldn't leave without trying the churros... absolutely out of this world! Came in here around lunchtime after seeing BAPA Pollo A La Brasa pop up on TikTok a few times, so I wanted to check it out for myself. When I walked in, it was pretty busy and I'm not sure if it was the owner behind the counter, but he was moving FAST, like really overwhelmed trying to keep up with the rush. There was only one other worker I saw, and he was mainly handling the register while also trying to prep food. You could tell they were getting hit with more customers than they were staffed for. A lot of ingredients were actually missing at the time I came in, and I watched him kind of run back and forth trying to replace things as orders were coming in. Honestly, it was painful to watch him struggle under that kind of pressure. It felt like they just weren't prepared for the level of traffic they're getting from going viral on TikTok, especially during a lunch rush. Food-wise, some of the sides were being rushed back out and didn't seem fully consistent. One item looked like it got put through a heat/steam situation when it probably should've been roasted, and it just didn't come out evenly cooked. The guy on the register was also assembling bowls, and I think portion control needs a little more attention so everything is more balanced. I got a burrito bowl and overall it reminded me of Chipotle but with more of a homegrown, local twist. The flavors are there, but I just wish the ingredients were portioned a bit more evenly so you can actually taste each component instead of it all blending together. Overall, the biggest thing they need right now is more staff and better prep for rush hours, especially since they're getting more attention online. I'd probably give them another try in the future once they get more settled, because the base idea is solid--it just needs smoother execution read more

My wife and I live now in St. Pete but we have been looking for good Peruvian rotisserie chicken since we moved here from northern Virginia, where multiple restaurants specialize in it. We finally found this place, which is a 26 minute drive from where we live. We loved it so much that we bought a catering package that included eight chickens and multiple sides for a July 4 fireworks viewing party for our friends. Everything was fantastic, including all the sides and traditional sauces. In case you have never had it, unlike some other Latin American chicken available, the Peruvian chicken is marinated in spices for 24 hours before being spitted and roasted on a moving carousel right in front of you. This place does an excellent job and what it sells is perfect for wowing your friends at parties. Make sure to order enough so they can take some home, which is what we did. read more

For lunch today, we hit Bapa Pollo in Palmetto. This is a new Peruvian rotisserie chicken spot that caught our eye. They roast the chicken over premium Fogo charcoal and the smell that wafts out of this place was amazing. We all grabbed a half chicken and it came with two sides. I rolled with rice and beans and the beans were a sleeper. Some of the most flavorful black beans I have had in a long time. The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned throughout. It didn't need any sauces, but they surely enhanced the experience. We had aji Verde, aji Amarillo, honey bbq, and Bapa sauce which was like a spicy mayo based sauce. All of them were great. Our total was less than $20 with tip and we were all very happy with our lunch. This is a new spot that is worth checking out if in the area. read more

I went there yesterday for the first time after seeing a TikTok video. Yes I went to this restaurant because of a TikTok video. I got half a chicken with white rice and beans for my meal and then I got some churros for dessert. Everything was so delicious. The chicken was well seasoned and not dry at all. The sauces that came with the meal were also yummy. You get to choose whatever sauce you want. I chose the one that's the most popular, the green one, I forgot what it's called but it was delicious. But omg the churros were amazing. What made them out of this world was the biscoff sauce that you could dip the churros in. I also got a scoop of vanilla ice cream so it was the perfect combination. I liked it so much that today I'm going back to get the churros again and this time I'm gonna tell them not to dip them in the cinnamon sugar topping. I'll just ask for that on the side so I can control the sweetness myself. And then I'm gonna ask for two little cups of the biscoff sauce because honestly, I think that's what made the churros out of this world amazing. Very happy that I tried this place out. read more

I would have given this place five stars if the cashier girl was any good. I asked her if she had anything in the drink case that wasn't sugary and she faced the case and started telling me, but I couldn't hear her, so I asked her, please face me and tell me I can't hear you, so that she turns back to the case it starts talking again, and I said again I can't hear you when you face away from me, and we did this about 567 times, to the point of frustration on my part. Then I said, are you doing this on purpose? I don't understand why you can't adapt the same play face me when you're talking to me, so I can hear you properly. The chicken was good. The french fries were absolutely wonderful. The black beans were wonderful and very flavorful and both the sides were really quite large in size. The most fabulous thing of it all was the condiment counter with all their different Peruvian sauces. OMG. The most flavor is gonna be in all those sauces. I took some of each and OMG! No, I did go to my car to eat because I just couldn't stand to be there in that place one more second because of this cashier girl. I hope they fire her and get somebody else. She's bad for business.
