Still love Aji Ceviche. But yet again the service isn't great. Luckily we know what we want. We ordered repeats Antartico Roll for me and Tallarine Verde with Chicken for my husband. Still very tasty and filling. I really like the male server with the glasses. He's a great server. We had a female this time who wasn't that great. She just takes our order and doesn't check on us or refill our water. I think next time I'll check the St. Pete location since that one is newer. read more

The Peruvian food here is elevated and top notch. I was just in Peru last year and I've experience the local and high-end cuisine there - and I can confirm this is authentic. Love the bright flavours and fresh seafood!! We ordered the: -AJI EXPLOSION (fish ceviche in a cup with its fresh sweet & limey juices, layered with avocado & Peruvian corn, and topped with smokey grilled shrimp & steak skewers) -CONCHAS BRAVAS (scallops with crushed nuts & Peruvian corn) -PESCADO A LO MACHO (delicious fried fish fillet with soft fresh calamari, shrimp, scallops & mussels drenched in a creamy sauce with rice) All the dishes we got were bangers and plated beautifully. I can not find enough words to described how pleased we were with this establishment. Place is stylish, modern and inviting. From service to the last meal everything was fabulous. Food was fresh and tasty. Friendly atmosphere and attentive employees added to the whole experience. One person in our party had food restrictions and the kitchen was going over and beyond to make them happy and prepare something they can eat, even though that dish was not on a menu. We started of with couple ceviche and picked different items for entree so we can taste variety. Every bite bursts with authentic flavors. And do not skip the cocktails, these are a must! I've always loved the food at your restaurant and visit at least once a month. Over my last few visits, the service has not been good. On one occasion, our server did not bring the Peruvian corn or leche de tigre shots to stary. we had to request them. He also brought me the wrong drink, and when I pointed it out, his response was that if he fixed it, it "wouldn't be as good," which was surprising and Very disappointing specially because the drinks are not cheap. Today, I made a reservation to celebrate my birthday and invited my family because I wanted them to experience how amazing the food is. Unfortunately, the service again did not meet expectations. Our server rarely checked in, several drinks were forgotten, and the meals took over 30 minutes to arrive. Throughout the evening, we had to actively look for staff whenever we needed anything. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was unbelievably bad. From the moment we walked in, the place was heavily fragranced--so overwhelming it made me feel physically ill. It took 20-30 minutes just to get our drinks, and when the appetizers and entrées finally arrived, they didn't even bring us plates. We had to track someone down 20 minutes later and practically beg for them. I also ended up canceling a beverage for myself and my friend because we had assumed they had just forgotten it after it had been 30 minutes... The service only got worse--after asking for the check, we waited a full hour for them to return our credit cards. We genuinely considered walking out because we felt completely abandoned. To top it off, I paid $26 for a "steak" meal that had barely any steak. I left hungry, frustrated, and baffled by how a place could operate like this. Absolutely would not recommend & I have no idea how anyone has left a good review here. They must've been paid. read more

A hidden gem in Sarasota in a strip mall next to the Chili's. It's beautiful inside, with a lovely bar area, and the waiter was very nice and very knowledgeable. I had seafood ceviche, which was excellent, and my husband had a very flavorful chicken dish, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten. Wow!!! This is THE BEST Peruvian restaurant we have been to in a long time. We have now been there twice in the past week and both times were excellent. They remodeled the restaurant and it's beautifully decorated with a large, vibrant bar area. The menu is extensive with lots of Peruvian favorites. We have had the ceviche, lomo saltado, causa acevichada, pescado a la chorillana, seco de carne with white beans, pisco sours, chicha morada, jugo de cherimoya and chocolate cake with manjar blanco. They nailed it. EVERYTHING was delicious. Great service too. If you like Peruvian food, THIS is the restaurant to go to!! Best Ceviche that I have ever had, the one with pulpo had such an amazing smoked flavor. The Lomo Salteado is packed with great flavors and tender. the Seafood rice is a paella meet a risotto . they ask you for a higher price than their website when you order on the phone, the food is good but it's getting expensive for a pasta, was $23 now when I tried to order 2 the girl told me the total was $64 dollars. I had to Oder for another Peruvian restaurant called Peruvian Grill and did not spend $18 dollars for the plate and it came with a side salad. It is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. Have been at this restaurant already 4 times since it opened. The service is very good. The food is very tasty and feels like you are in a restaurant in Peru. It's a clean nicely decorated place. The only fault that I have found in this restaurant is that they make their ceviche with sway, which is one of the worst fish there is out there. I have mentioned to the waiter every time I go and until they change it I will not have ceviche. I would rather pay a few more dollars and eat a better fish such as corvina (sea bass).
