The jerk chicken is some of the best I've ever had! It os seasoned just right and chopped up just like it is elsewhere. It's a rather casual place that is located on a main road which is the reason parking is in back. I dined twice over a two week period and was left with the impression that most patrons order carry out. The rum punch packs a punch. The address on yelp wasn't correct so I called the listed number to get the new address and I'm glad I did. I was in town visiting for a few days stopped here to get dinner to go, the food was oh so delicious. I had the curry chicken with rice/peas and cabbage my son had the oxtails both plates were full with enough for leftovers the following day. I wish we had gotten plates to take back to Georgia cuz I'm wanting some more right now! The gentleman who took our order was nice and friendly. read more

Food is amazing, customer service not so much. They, for some reason, don't know how to answer the phone. No matter how many times you call. I went about a week ago and I called around 8pm to see if they're still serving food. They closed at midnight so I wasn't sure when they stopped serving. No answer. I called 4 times after that still no answer. I drive all the way over there to go order the food and they want to tell me they closed. It was 845ish when I got there. The grandpa wants to tell me "you should've came earlier or called us to place your order" well if mfs knew how to pick up the damn phone I would've placed an order. Get some better people working here. Maybe younger folks because last time I went here the customer service was amazing but at the same time it was NOT an old cranky grandpa working. read more

I was visiting Holmes Beach, AMI in December 2024. We found this amazing restaurant driving by it. Our family did takeout one night here. OMG!! The food was on point! Authentic and delicious! It took us back to the US Virgin Islands! The Restaurant is a little hidden off the main Road. The vibe you get going to pick up the food was not far from those on the islands. Extremely Chill with Reggae music jamming. We are still thinking about our meal at Rodney's.(back in PA-and it's February 2025) We can't wait to go back and have more good eats from Rodney's!!! Great Jamaican spot. It definitely has the Caribbean vibe when you go in. There's Reggae music playing along with Jamaican decor. We ordered oxtails and jerk chicken. The oxtails were tender and well seasoned. The jerk chicken had a little heat initially but the more you ate the heat dissipated. The sides were: rice and peas, callaloo, plantains and cabbage. Ya man, this Jamaican food is the truth! Seasoned to perfection and the portions will make you smile. When you step in to the restaurant you can feel the island love. Caribbean music is playing, and the restaurant offers ample seating to dine in, a bar as well as take out. My fav was the jerk chicken, rice & peas with a side of callialoo (greens) and fried plantains, all of which were authentic. Our server had Jamaican charm and made sure we we were well taken care of. This place was amazing!! Came late on a rainy night. Our server, Lovely, was delightful, upbeat, attentive and kept us updated on our food's status ( it took a while to cook). The shrimp kabobs were delicious-almost like a sweet and sour sauce, but tastier and filled with peppers and a good number of decent sized shrimp. We ordered the jerk chicken with coleslaw, plantains and an (extra) side of beans and rice. Fantastic, well cooked and a HUGE portion of chicken. Although we shared both, we took home a good amount of our entree. They have live music, but we went on an off night. I had the Jerk pork and the Curry chicken plates. I think the meats were pretty solid but I have to rate a 4 because of the Mac and Cheese. As good as the food was the Mac and cheese failed the plate. It was like a velveeta Mac cheese or box. read more

I had the jerk chicken wings for my starter and I had the Pork tenderloin dinner with rice n beans and cabbage medley. Everything was delicious. The wing sauce was to die for. And the wings were perfectly cooked. The pork dinner was huge. 3 3/4 " pieces of pork tenderloin, and lots of beans n rice. His own scotch bonnet pepper sauce is very good and not overly hot. I have only been 2 Rodney's once & wasn't there long enuf to eat. The smell was so horrific, I had to leave. I have no idea what it was?? Sort of a uriney, sewage, cleaning coverup sort of smell. If you are remotely near this restaurant you have to find your way to it. This was some of the most authentic Jamaican food I've had since leaving Negril last October. The food came out fresh and piping hot and the portions were so big that I felt I was getting a Big Bang did my Buck. I had the combo plate that had curry goat, jerk chicken and oxtails.
