On October 10, 2024 I walked into the emergency room at Saint Francis-hospital Bartlett Tn…read more I walked to the emergency entrance, admitting desk and spoke with a young woman who asked me why I was there. I informed the woman that I had a terrible rash on my eye and my forehead, and it was hurting. I explained to the young lady that I was from out of town and on vacation . She asked me if I had Insurance and I said yes, and I gave her my insurance card and my ID.. within minutes Especially the nurse asked me to step inside to get my vitals. She asked me what was going on, and I explain to her it was an irritation that had been bothering me for a few days and I feel that I need to see a doctor because it doesn't feel normal. The nurse said a doctor would be in to see me momentarily. Within five minutes. Doctor came and spoke with me. Very kindly the doctor asked me to explain to him what was going on as I pointed to my forehead. He immediately said I know your symptoms follow me. I walked to the other area with the doctor and he explained to me what my condition was. It wasn't long before the attending physician came and gave his synopsis. Very quickly and with care the two doctors explained to me what my condition was and how it worked and then explain that the medication I would receive would be for pain and infection. With all of that being said, the young doctors care and attitude and mindset was just so remarkably amazing. The staff the cleanliness I would give this hospital an A + immediately, and I would advise anyone that is visiting the Bartlett community in Memphis, Tennessee had an emergency or had to be hospitalized to visit this care center. Doctor on staff who assisted in my care name is Dr.Cardwell. An amazing physician, caring person and beautiful soul.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Dr. Elias was my husband's doctor while in the hospital…read more He gave my husband medication he was deathly allergic to causing him to have to be full resuscitated. My husband did not feel safe in the hospital so he left against medical advice and died 3 days later. They did not tell anyone he had to be fully resuscitated or that they gave him medication he was allergic to. They put it in his file he had no known medication allergies knowing he did because they were told numerous times by my husband, myself and our daughter at the time of check in. The care quality they give is horrible and I believe they try to cover their mistakes by putting incorrect incorrect information in the patient's chart. Now I am left with a shattered heart and I doubt I will ever get over what they have done. I cannot find anywhere to file a complaint for what they did. This hospital's stall ruins lives in the worst way possible.

This hospital saved the life of one of my family members, two times…read more Is this place perfect? No. Could certain aspects of the organization be improved? Yes. But, what else is new? Perfection is a elusive goal and cannot be expected or achieved at all times. That's why it's called the medical arts. The bottom line is that after many months of direct involvement advocating for my family member, I found this medical institution to be full of caring and competent professionals, who try very hard to do their very best. If I ever had to be hospitalized, I can think of far worse places to be.

I recently spent some time at Baptist Hospital Memphis, arriving on a Monday night, and I have…read moremixed feelings about my experience. **Medical Staff:** One of my main concerns was the lack of cohesion among the doctors. It seemed like they didn't communicate well with each other, leading to rounds at all hours without much consideration for patient comfort. This inconsistency was frustrating and affected the overall experience. **Nursing Staff:** On a brighter note, the nursing staff was outstanding. I had several nurses who truly stood out, including Pam, Monica, Sam, Jada, and Michelle. Their dedication was evident, and they made a significant difference in my care. Even the trainee, Autumn, impressed me with her professionalism and attentiveness. While there were a couple of nurses who didn't meet my expectations, the majority were exceptional and really made my stay more bearable. **Housekeeping:** Housekeeping services were also commendable, particularly when Michelle was on duty. Her work ethic and attention to detail were evident, and I believe she deserves recognition, possibly even a promotion, to help train others in the department. **Dining Services:** Dining services, however, left much to be desired. Although the manager, Camille, made efforts to address issues, it felt like some staff viewed their roles merely as jobs rather than a calling. That said, one staff member, Nisha, stood out for her commitment to customer service. She went above and beyond to meet my requests with a genuine smile. **Patient Care Assistants:** I must also highlight the amazing PCAs, Kierra and Jasmine. Their passion for their work was palpable, and their interactions with patients were warm and caring. In summary, Baptist Hospital Memphis has a lot of potential, especially with its dedicated nursing and housekeeping staff. However, improvements in doctor collaboration and dining services could enhance the overall patient experience. If the hospital focuses on these areas, it could significantly elevate the quality of care provided.

The Little Clinic in Arlington, TN is EXCELLENT…read more During all of my visits, I experienced thoroughness, professionalism, expert medical advice and empathy. This is my go-to medical clinic when I can't get an appointment with my primary care physician, or when I just need a "little medicine" for an ailing sore throat or bothersome cough. I've never had to wait. I've always been seen within 10-12 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. I highly recommend this medical clinic without hesitation based on the outstanding treatment I've received on my past five visits over the last 15 months.

She had a TB test and was told to come back 2 days later after a certain time so we did another provider was there then the one who did the test . she was absolutely horrible. she told my daughter she wouldnt see her unless there was a appointment available in the kiosk. there wasn't one available, there also was nobody waiting to be seen either and it was 30-44 mins before they closed. The privider also said my dayghter would also have to make another appointment to have the test redone . she was very rude and I hope she doesn't treat all the people who come to see her that way. my daughter was very upset becouse they told her to come back in the date and time and then to be talked down to like that . We will never go back to that location.

As a first-time mom, I was nervous about delivering at any hospital given the many horror stories…read moreI've heard about patient care. However, I decided I wanted to be surrounded by professionals with expertise in both baby and mom care, and I'm so glad I chose Baptist. Arrival & First Impressions: When I arrived, I wasn't sure if I was in active labor or not, but I quickly learned I was. After being checked, I was immediately moved into a labor and delivery room. My first nurse, Paige, was incredibly encouraging. She reassured me that I could deliver without an epidural, especially since I was already 5cm dilated and not in much pain. Nurse Transition: Paige let me know her shift was ending and introduced me to the nurses who would take over. By this point, I was 8cm dilated, and the new team--Lisa (Charge Nurse), Sierra (RN), Lindsey (Unit Manager), and Dr. Owens--made me feel confident and supported. I didn't experience pain until they had to break my water at 9cm. Delivery: Dr. Owens and her team delivered my baby. I labored for 6 hours, and after 3 pushes, my baby was born. They were very clear with instructions, guiding me through the process by counting and telling me when to push. My husband was able to cut the umbilical cord, and they immediately placed my baby on me for skin-to-skin. I was also able to opt out of having my baby bathed right away, which meant a lot to me. Post-Delivery Care: After birth, I was transferred to a new room and introduced to my new nurses and lactation specialist. Kacee, the lactation consultant, was fantastic in helping me get the baby to latch, and Amy, the nurse, assisted me when Kacee wasn't available. I also want to give a shoutout to the other nurses during shift changes--Dakeila, Lanitra (who provided amazing resources and support, especially after my baby had to go to the NICU), and Patient Care Assistants Denita and Hieu. NICU Care: My baby had some low oxygen levels after feeding, so the nurses transferred her to the NICU. Heidi, the nurse, was wonderful and made my husband and I feel at ease during a stressful time. Her empathy and positive energy helped us through a scary situation. Follow-up: We were discharged after three days, and the doctors called us after two days at home to check in and make sure we had everything we needed for our baby, while also ensuring I was recovering well. Overall, my experience at Baptist was incredibly positive. While I know every nurse and situation is different, each of the nurses I interacted with made me feel comfortable and never like a burden, even when I had many questions. I am truly grateful for the care we received, and I hope that all families receive the same level of care that I did. It took away all of my fears and anxieties about delivering in a hospital. Thank you, Baptist!
