This was one of the worst visits I have ever experienced. Upon arrival, attitudes were dismal, yeah they sucked, very unprofessional. Nurse MeMe, was sweet and attentive. Derek was okay, until he wasn't. T. Woods, was having a very uncertain experience, although he is a "student." I disgress! I'm here now past three hours. NP Kisha Pickford, was very professional and thorough. I didn't receive the lunch I requested. I've had two EKG's performed and a CT scan. Everything done was successful. Now it's time for me to be discharged. Now my vitals were re-taken and IVs were being removed. Nurse Codie, was explaining my discharge paperwork as well placing clean bandages. As my blood drip on my arm, I thought that she'd get a alcohol wipe to clean it. Oh heck no! She didn't clean it off, nor did she replace the bandage that is full of blood. Yes, I left with blood visibly on my arm.I understand that the ER was busy, but making sure your patient(s) are properly attended should matter. By the way, my blood pressure was still stroke levels when I left. What was visibly noticeable was the entire staff with the exception of a few. There were many of them who wasn't certain as to which way to go, or what exactly they ahould be doing. This was an all time new. The employees were doing more complaining about how certain room's should arranged and used for. Too much politics going on in the presence of their patients. They had multiple patients in one room, like myself waiting for whatever purpose. I'm still not sure, I know that I didn't feel safe. Everyone was being shuffled around like puzzle pieces. There didn't seem to be any organization or proper communication amongst the staff/employees. I was just ready to go home after being there for half a day.

I have stomach pain after eating due to ischemia can the ER fix it?

No the ER is only a temporary fix. This is a go to your primary care dr and have them schedule for a specialist

On October 10, 2024 I walked into the emergency room at Saint Francis-hospital Bartlett Tn…read more I walked to the emergency entrance, admitting desk and spoke with a young woman who asked me why I was there. I informed the woman that I had a terrible rash on my eye and my forehead, and it was hurting. I explained to the young lady that I was from out of town and on vacation . She asked me if I had Insurance and I said yes, and I gave her my insurance card and my ID.. within minutes Especially the nurse asked me to step inside to get my vitals. She asked me what was going on, and I explain to her it was an irritation that had been bothering me for a few days and I feel that I need to see a doctor because it doesn't feel normal. The nurse said a doctor would be in to see me momentarily. Within five minutes. Doctor came and spoke with me. Very kindly the doctor asked me to explain to him what was going on as I pointed to my forehead. He immediately said I know your symptoms follow me. I walked to the other area with the doctor and he explained to me what my condition was. It wasn't long before the attending physician came and gave his synopsis. Very quickly and with care the two doctors explained to me what my condition was and how it worked and then explain that the medication I would receive would be for pain and infection. With all of that being said, the young doctors care and attitude and mindset was just so remarkably amazing. The staff the cleanliness I would give this hospital an A + immediately, and I would advise anyone that is visiting the Bartlett community in Memphis, Tennessee had an emergency or had to be hospitalized to visit this care center. Doctor on staff who assisted in my care name is Dr.Cardwell. An amazing physician, caring person and beautiful soul.

My husband did not feel safe in the hospital so he left against medical advice and died 3 days later. They did not tell anyone he had to be fully resuscitated or that they gave him medication he was allergic to. They put it in his file he had no known medication allergies knowing he did because they were told numerous times by my husband, myself and our daughter at the time of check in. The care quality they give is horrible and I believe they try to cover their mistakes by putting incorrect incorrect information in the patient's chart. Now I am left with a shattered heart and I doubt I will ever get over what they have done. I cannot find anywhere to file a complaint for what they did. This hospital's stall ruins lives in the worst way possible.

As a first-time mom, I was nervous about delivering at any hospital given the many horror stories…read moreI've heard about patient care. However, I decided I wanted to be surrounded by professionals with expertise in both baby and mom care, and I'm so glad I chose Baptist. Arrival & First Impressions: When I arrived, I wasn't sure if I was in active labor or not, but I quickly learned I was. After being checked, I was immediately moved into a labor and delivery room. My first nurse, Paige, was incredibly encouraging. She reassured me that I could deliver without an epidural, especially since I was already 5cm dilated and not in much pain. Nurse Transition: Paige let me know her shift was ending and introduced me to the nurses who would take over. By this point, I was 8cm dilated, and the new team--Lisa (Charge Nurse), Sierra (RN), Lindsey (Unit Manager), and Dr. Owens--made me feel confident and supported. I didn't experience pain until they had to break my water at 9cm. Delivery: Dr. Owens and her team delivered my baby. I labored for 6 hours, and after 3 pushes, my baby was born. They were very clear with instructions, guiding me through the process by counting and telling me when to push. My husband was able to cut the umbilical cord, and they immediately placed my baby on me for skin-to-skin. I was also able to opt out of having my baby bathed right away, which meant a lot to me. Post-Delivery Care: After birth, I was transferred to a new room and introduced to my new nurses and lactation specialist. Kacee, the lactation consultant, was fantastic in helping me get the baby to latch, and Amy, the nurse, assisted me when Kacee wasn't available. I also want to give a shoutout to the other nurses during shift changes--Dakeila, Lanitra (who provided amazing resources and support, especially after my baby had to go to the NICU), and Patient Care Assistants Denita and Hieu. NICU Care: My baby had some low oxygen levels after feeding, so the nurses transferred her to the NICU. Heidi, the nurse, was wonderful and made my husband and I feel at ease during a stressful time. Her empathy and positive energy helped us through a scary situation. Follow-up: We were discharged after three days, and the doctors called us after two days at home to check in and make sure we had everything we needed for our baby, while also ensuring I was recovering well. Overall, my experience at Baptist was incredibly positive. While I know every nurse and situation is different, each of the nurses I interacted with made me feel comfortable and never like a burden, even when I had many questions. I am truly grateful for the care we received, and I hope that all families receive the same level of care that I did. It took away all of my fears and anxieties about delivering in a hospital. Thank you, Baptist!

Recently, a family member was admitted, so now I'm part of the journey that most never even want to imagine could happen to them. In the midst of the grief and anxiety, I've learned many things, most of which will go unreported in this review. For yelp purposes, I'll note: 1.) I never have met so many compassionate and competent people in one day, and I visit medical-care settings as a regular part of my work. The chief example is the surgeon who spent more than one hour with my family in a post-surgery consult. Who does that? Most procedures for family, I'm lucky if I get a phone call that lasts up to sixty seconds. The kindness extends all the way to cafeteria workers and valet-parking attendants. 2.) It's really true that the family does not receive a bill. Sure, the hospital will pursue every insurance reimbursement possibility. But, in the end, the family will owe $0. If we could make this happen for every life-changing medical crisis in our nation, I can't help but believe there would be so much less grief, and so much more energy released for healing and productivity. 3.) As I've shared our story, I've found many people in communities near and far support St. Jude with regular donations or special fundraisers. From the grandfather of current patient, please know how impressed I am by the breadth and depth of support. Those of you who support SJCRH are doing a great service to children from near and far. Thank you!

There was just one doctor out of all the wonderful doctors, he made me uncomfortable, he come in and tried to be intimidating, but only If my husband wasn't in the room, he was odd, but I hardly even had to see him, he didn't have any specific thing (that I know of) he was a doctor of, other than of the hospital.
