The whole nurse team treated me incredibly kind throughout my stay, especially when I told them I was nervous about some testing they were about to do. They kept me calm and treated me with the utmost care. Every person that I interacted with did honestly - the anesthesiologist, surgeon team, front desk, cafeteria workers (who went above and beyond to get me something to eat when the ordering system was down!) and even the person transporting me to the pre-op room! They were also incredibly knowledgeable and cared about me personally. I was in a room in the new tower apparently, which was very spacious and comfortable. There was a couch that converted into a makeshift bed for a visitor as well. I believe visiting hours are 9am-9pm. Coming back in for a post-op appointment was great as well. The front desk was helpful and pointed me in the right direction, and the medical assistant and doctor were professional and friendly. I would absolutely recommend UF Health North to anyone! Great experience.

I'm not saying that doesn't happen, but I am saying that not everyone who comes in for treatment is seeking drugs. What I appreciate most about the team here is that they always treat me with kindness, respect, and compassion--no matter how many times I've had to come in for care.

I've been a patient here for over a year and they've always had an issue with communication. But…read morenothing as bad as these last 2 months. I went in late February to be prescribed weight loss medication as the thyroid/b12 combo wasn't working. I specifically told them on the phone that's why I was coming in. Yet the first question my doctor asked me was why was I here and did the stuff for the last 6 months work? Then I paid a $40 copay for a 5 min "apt" with the doctor then told to get blood work. I do. Then I don't get calls back for three days when I'm asking specifically about the blood work. Finally I'm prescribed wegovy, which of course I can't afford. So I figure that's the end of it. Flash forward two weeks I get a call from Walgreens saying my prescription is ready and it's for a similar injectable like wegovy. However I wasn't even aware they were sending something over. I try to call to find out what it is but of course no call back. In that time they then CHANGE the meds and again don't even tell me. I finally am prescribed Saxenda (not covered by insurance) but I decide to take the chance and pay the $260 for a pen to try it. I get my pen on 3/14 and go up to their office (at the doctors request a month prior) to show me how to use it. I see there for an hour before she comes in. And low and behold she can't do it because she forgot to send the NEEDLES over too. How do you forget that? Then they tell me I owe $120 difference cuz my insurance didn't cover the visit. First off, why didn't you say that a month ago? Second off, they then tell me they put in a "code" and it brings my bill down to $70 something so I pay the $30 whatever difference and think that's the end. A couple weeks later, I'm having no luck on the Saxenda and I'm also about to run out. The doctor didn't realize the dosage went up a week. In fact, the Facebook group I was in was the only way I knew that. I call multiple times saying hey I'm bout to run out of this please call me. No call back. Meanwhile I'm playing telephone with my insurance trying to get a prior authorization for the meds to try to get it covered and guess who's not filling out the paperwork? You guessed it, the office. It took 2 weeks for them to fill out the paper cuz the girl who does it had Covid. I'm sorry you don't have anyone else who works there? Then it's another game of me calling them and no call backs for days and days. The last update I got was from Jenn on 4/7 stating they were giving her the run around for the number to call. I've called multiple times since then to no call back. They say they will tell their supervisor yet their supervisor must suck too. Finally today I call AGAIN only to be told by some rude lady that they told me that the insurance denied it three times and they won't try again. I told her lady I haven't been told it was even denied ONCE. Why would I keep calling and wasting my time? Then she had the nerve to bring up the bill THAT THEY TOLD ME THEY HANDLED ON 3/15 WHEN I WAS THERE. So not only do they not communicate with patients, they lie. I'm a teacher, I don't just call places just to be like "hey did you fix my problem?" I'm the reason the prior authorization even started because god forbid they called the insurance. Don't go here they are the worst !!

He's in and out in no time! I needed a referral for a kidney dr. I was very specific that I did Not want a particular dr, so who did they refer me to? Yo got it, the one I did not, Will Not see. I called, spoke to Tiffany who said she'd take care of it and call me back. NOT! No call, nothing! I finally got a shot at having knee replacement surgery and needed Dr Logronio to fax over his ok for the surgery. I walked the paper into the office on Monday morning and handed it to, of all people, Tiffany! She recognized my name and told me she had been too busy to call me back, but at least she had actually changed the dr! On Thursday after not hearing from my orthopedic about the surgery, I called the office of Dr Longronio to see if the paper had been faxed. 1st call, 10:22 am, 2nd call, 2:17pm. 3rd call, 4:30. 0 satisfaction on any of the 3 calls. Promised call backs after each call, Never Happened! No clue if it got faxed no freaking clue about ANYTHING. Oh, and did I mention I was once again dealing with Tiffany and someone named I believe, Jeanie, neither one had the first clue. And if Jeanie wasn't throwing Tiffany under the bus, albeit deserved, she was throwing the Dr under it!! WORST FRONT OFFICE of ANY Drs office I've ever seen! The ONLY saving Grace this place has is a woman named Jan! Wonderful front desk lady, but not enough to make me keep this Dr. If he doesn't care enough to fax over a desperately needed piece of paper, it shows he just plain don't care at all. I need a Dr that cares! Not finding that here!!! Please avoid at all costs!!!!

The provider prescribed antibiotics and specifically suggested I might need to miss work Wednesday and Thursday, advising me to rest and return if I wasn't improving. By Wednesday I was still very ill, so I called to ask for a work excuse note. Shockingly, I was told they could not provide one since it had been "two days" since my visit. When I asked if I could come in for reevaluation to get a note, they said yes--then immediately called me back to say that even if I came in for another sick visit, they still would not issue a note. I was left with no choice but to go back to work, feeling terrible and contagious. The next day, my daughter spiked a 102 fever. On Friday, I took both kids to their pediatrician (NOT this clinic) where they both tested positive for COVID. That means I was almost certainly positive at Amelia, despite their negative test. At the time, I had already suspected the swab wasn't done properly since the staff looked hesitant to get close enough for a proper sample. Turns out, I was right. Because of their poor testing and refusal to provide a simple work excuse--something their own provider suggested--I ended up working nearly three days while sick and unknowingly spreading COVID to others. This was not only negligent for me and my family, but also unsafe for the community. I will not be returning here and cannot recommend this clinic. If you're sick, I strongly suggest going elsewhere for care that actually protects patients and the public.
