The service is inviting and friendly, ambience is tasteful, but the drinks are mind blowing! Unique, flavorful, well-balanced and delicious. We loved our first visit so much we made a reservation for the next night before we left the table.

The Poitín Mecca in Ireland if not the world with a truly world class and award winning cocktail menu. This has been on my must visit list for over 3 years now and I finally made it. Bonus time was meeting the Poitín King of Ireland himself, Dave Mulligan, and feeling the passion for our native spirit ooze from his every pore. They have the biggest selection of Poitín on the island of Ireland along with a great Irish whiskey selection. Food offerings are as well curated as their drinks with lots of fantastic small bite offerings which are a must, as some of 28 cocktails on the list pack a punch! The team are rock stars with great attention to detail and impeccable service. Get in here. Enjoy great drinks. Tip well.

An absolutely impressive cocktail experience in Dublin that you have to taste to believe. I wasn't familiar with poitin prior to my visit to Bar 1661 and I felt like I learned so much thanks to their incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff. The place is a little out of the way if you are staying in South Dublin but totally worth traversing across the river for what you'll find at 1661. The cocktail menu is a literal book with thoughtful writing and beautiful photos. If you have trouble making decisions like I do, don't be shy in asking the bartenders to decide for you. I was so happy with the two cocktails that were recommended to me by the staff. I will say though, pace yourself if you're not familiar with poitin. That stuff is strong and two drinks was more than enough for me! You don't even realize how strong the drinks are because of how expertly they're mixed. I sat at the bar which was a great spot for getting to know fellow patrons. The rest of the bar includes cozy booth seating and the whole place is just a vibe. Every detail has real thought put into it and it shows. I can't recommend this spot enough!

Made a reservation and got a secluded table near the door. Cocktails are phenomenal. The Belfast Coffee was light and delicious - it's not what an American Irish Coffee comes close to!! The menu is one of the best I've ever seen - photos and a very simple explanation of every cocktail.

My absolute favorite spot for cocktails. We came late evening and were lucky to get an open table. It was romantically lit so it could be hard for some to read the menu. We didn't order food/snacks as we had already eaten but I believe they do have food service. They have a small booklet containing a menu of their drinks. We ordered quite a few. They were well balanced and thoughtfully created. We were given a small sample of a special fall punch (Dingle punch) that was exceptional. I ordered a Sliding Door and my buddy ordered an Island Donne and an 'Irish Coffee'. I ordered a Sliding Door and a full size Dingle Punch. We were very happy with our choices.

We LOVED this bar. These are the best cocktails me and my husband have ever had. We went back multiple times on our trip. Our favorites were the Belfast coffee and the woven stone for me and his were the Irish coffee and the woven stone for him. We also really liked the other drinks I think we tried almost all of them. The staff there were also great both times our waitress was very friendly and helpful. They also explained what each drink was like which we both appreciated. We would 100% go back next time we are in Dublin.

The staff and drinks were great! One amazing note - when my husband stepped away briefly, the bartender swooped in and put his cocktail into a fridge so it wouldn't warm before he could drink it.

Visited early Friday evening. Given one hour at the bar table, but actually stayed for about 80 minutes without issue. As always, very friendly and knowledgeable bar staff, great selection of whiskey, and fun experience. The chicken liver pate was a great companion for any spirit or drinks. Gamey, savory, rich mouthfeel with the sweet fruit bread, but not too oily or overwhelming.

Hands down the best cocktail experience we had while in Ireland! We came here based on the recommendation of a friend as well as a tour guide we had at a distillery. We didn't have a reservation and would recommend you make one, but they were able to fit us in as someone had cancelled and the others were running late. The menu is like a story book with 32 different cocktails all made with local spirits! Everything was so so good! The wait staff was also extremely knowledgeable on each drink and were able to give recommendations based on what we like. My favorite was the Harvest! Would 100% recommend.

Sooooo good. Drinks super unique and a long, explanatory menu. Don't skip this place! Service was 10/10, with little sample drinks coming out due to the wait. We loved it here and recommend to all in the area

This was a good spot. It is on par with other high end, high quality cocktail bars in other major cities. We liked it but we weren't blown away. We visited around 4 PM on a Sunday without a reservation and they were able to seat us at the bar. Their menu is a legit book -- actually bound like one -- with descriptions and photos. All the cocktails sounded interesting. Staff was very helpful. We got four cocktails total and a cheese plate. All was quality. The space is medium-sized, kind of dark, an appropriate atmosphere for a cocktail bar.

Great new spot with a creative and fun menu. My girlfriend saw this spot on tiktok as "one of Europe's best cocktail bars" and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was very moody and calm a great spot to sit down and enjoy your drink with a conversation.

This is the best bar we've been to in Dublin for cocktails! We didn't have a reservation and by the looks of things I'd recommend one, but they let us sit at the bar and still took incredible care of us. They give a mini welcome cocktail that tastes like a cinnamon roll. The bartender had great recommendations and helped us pick drinks. I didn't get a single cocktail I disliked and overall had a great experience.

Tucked down Dame Court just off Dame Street, The Stag's Head is one of those rare pubs that feels genuinely historic rather than designed to look old. The building dates to the late 1800s, and the interior retains the ornate features of a classic Victorian "gin palace"--rich carved wood, stained glass, brass rails, and a warm, glowing bar that feels wonderfully preserved. We stopped in around 4:30 pm, which turned out to be a perfect time to visit. There were other patrons enjoying drinks and food, but the atmosphere was calm and relaxed rather than loud or rowdy. It felt like the kind of place where locals drop in for a quiet pint on their way home from work before the evening crowd arrives. The staff were excellent--friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good (we failed to take photos because we were too busy enjoying it). As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the Impossible burger front and center on their menu; it was deliciously prepared with guacamole on a brioche bun, and not an afterthought on the menu. My companions both chose the Irish Beef Burger, and said it was excellent. One thing to know: this is a traditional Victorian pub, so cocktails aren't really part of the program. Expect beer, wine, or spirits rather than mixed drinks. In a place like this, that actually feels exactly right. Other pubs do serve mixed drinks. Between the history, the ambience, the quality of the food, and the wonderful staff, The Stag's Head is the kind of place that makes you feel like you've experienced a real piece of Dublin.

They are situated in the base of a sister restaurant, so from the main entrance the only give away is the neon "shhh" sign that sits over the stairway. Once at the base of the stairs an unassuming bookcase/shelf appears. This honestly got us, as we had no clue this was the entrance at first. We wandered around and into the bathrooms expecting some cool bathroom stall entrance. It wasn't until someone came out from behind the bookcase that we figured it out! We did let the "door" close and played with the art on the wall, including the bronze pig head, which turned out to be the hidden lever! Legit already wowed before entering! Upon entry, you are legit transported into a small speakeasy with a few high tops, a cozy bar and a small dining room beyond the second archway. The walls are stone, the lighting is dim and moody, the woods are heavy, and the vibes are immaculate! We sampled a few house-made cocktails, got an appetizer and a few main dishes. Spent a total of close to 2 hours, which is standard and actually timed. Which makes sense and I like, it keeps things moving, on time and allows plenty of time to soak it all in! The Jolly Roger and Espresso Martini were my cocktails for the night. There was a clear theme with both, as stout and espresso were highlights in both. For the app, we went with the fritto misto, which is a combination of fried cheese and veggies. Our mains were both pasta dishes. They were light and simple, yet complex and robust. They were tasty and impressive! Service was stellar from entry to exit. The host's, bartenders and our server were all top notch, friendly, helpful and a joy to interact with! Oh, I do highly recommend reservations! They are a small and very in demand spot, so trying to walk-in is a bit risky. Overall, we absolutely loved our evening at The Blind Pig! It was one of our best times and meals on our trip around Ireland...memorable for all the right reasons!

It is believed that 'Temple Bar' street's name originated from 'Sir William Temple' from the 'Temple family (you can see the same on the outer wall of the pub) The most iconic pub in Dublin, the Temple Bar Pub, sits proudly on the corner of Temple Bar and Temple Lane South. With live music from 10:30 am every day, this is a pub with a party atmosphere all day long. I was amused at how many people popped in, snapped off a quick photo or a 30-second video, and then left without stopping for a drink. Then again, at €8 a pint, and it's one of the more expensive drinks in an already expensive city ( and I did the same in 2-3 pubs), and that's fine. Doesn't matter whether you wanna have food or drink here or not, but I would definitely recommend (in capital letters), have one drink here. Yes, it's expensive (just 3-4 euros more, come on), but the vibe, that's totally worth it. I truly believe, though, that if you're going to experience Dublin, then you can't leave without experiencing Temple Bar. I had like 4-5 drinks at different pubs, and though it's touristy and "trap"- I would come here again and again. No other place has a "temple bar pub ' vibe.
