Awarding winning restaurant and so deserved! A group of us made the 20 minute drive to little town of Waitsburg with very high expectations (that were surpassed). I guess I will start with the fresh bread that they make daily - even a gluten intolerant person can't stop eating it because it's that good! The fresh homemade pasta - oh my heavens. The drinks - specialty cocktails made by a mix master! Anyone who knows me ...knows this about my foodie ways...Oh my panna cotta! Yes, I am still dreaming about the creamy richness. Best ever panna cotta! I was so wrapped up in the culinary experience- I forgot to snap pics of the dishes. So good you forget to do what you normally do...you'll see what I mean if you are fortunate enough to snag a res!

The restaurant is now on permanent hiatus so others may not have the opportunity to go but I had the pleasure of being able to dine here in May and it lived up to the hype so I still wanted to share my review. We have been a fan of Mike Easton since Il Corvo as that was my favorite spot to go in Seattle. We then went to Il Nido which was also excellent and when he announced this restaurant we wanted to try it but it took us some time to make our way to Waitsburg and we made it just in time as little did we know after dining there it would close! Everything is excellent but the highlight is of course the pasta. We got the foccacia, the sardines, the kale salad and three types of pasta. We tried an arugula pesto pasta with asparagus which was delicious and it was my first time trying fresh truffles and not just an oil in a tagliarini alla tartuffo pasta and they were very good but my favorite pasta was still the rigatoni with prosciutto amatriciana topped with burrata. It had spice, saltiness, creaminess, texture and really there was nothing to not love about it. Not sure when we will next be in the area but I of course want to try Easton's next two projects when I can.

Extraordinary menu - when it's limited like this...you know it's going to be truly amazing.

What an absolute gem of a place... my heaven is pasta with any trace of a fingerprint. Everything here is on purpose - the food, the kindness, the absolute love of filling people up and creating joy. 10 stars. I would put Bar Bacetto in my pocket if I could!!!!

Fabulous food, drinks, staff and service. Best meal in a long time!! The pastas of the evening were fresh and delicious. The heirloom tomato and watermelon salad was outstanding. The bread and olives and oil melt in your mouth.

Food, service and ambience were all outstanding. Erin was so fun and Mike is an amazing chef. We ordered Spaghetioni, Radiatore, and Pappardelle pasta dishes. All tasted great, but our favorite was Pappardelle.

The day's menu: Both the testaroli and gnocchi were fantastic. And that prosciutto...

Changed how I think about prosciutto! Great meal, great service. Worth the effort of finally nabbing a reservation.

Outstanding! The reviews for Bar Bacetto are real and quite accurate. No doubt about it! After eating there tonight there was no doubt at all! We (there were four of us) arrived at our appointed reservation time and we were quickly seated. Service was impeccable, for example, our water glasses were always full in a very unobtrusive way and the wait staff superb and very knowledgeable about the menu. (Note: The menu changes daily and is handwritten on a large chalkboard on the wall, I took a picture of the menu so I could refer to it readily not only when ordering but also when the dishes arrived at our table. We ordered everything on the dinner menu because the wait staff said the portions were more than enough for sharing and also three of the items from the antipasti menu. All the pasta dishes were delicious and cooked just right. The octopus salad with chickpeas was superb with the octopus itself very tender. Overall a delightful evening of great food with great friends. Make sure you make reservations! It is a must! Definitely a must visit place for great food!

Food, ambiance, customer service, location: all was four stars! Limited menu offerings BUT what they offered were stellar! Make a reservation FOR SURE! Small spaced but lots of love and thought put into everything

Appetizer, cabbage with the most amazing dressing and Parmesan cheese.

Worth. The. Wait!!! We've been trying to get a reservation here for months and it was so worth the wait. The pasta table is highly recommended. You get served the entire menu and get to try it all. The beet salad appetizer, sweet Jesus, take me home. That changed my life. The pastas were all so different and good! The drinks were spot on. The service - amazing! Can't wait to go back!

A lot of places don't quite live up to the hype but Bar Bacetto is not that kind of place. As hyped as it is, it still manages to exceed expectations. It's a small, intimate and lovely space that makes you feel special and welcomed. Everything is perfectly executed. Drinks, wine, food and service. The chef owner checked in with us after our first two courses and when I told him everything was excellent he responded "well it's early and we have plenty of time left to disappoint". Ha! Not so! The pasta is as good as anywhere in North America and rivals the best in Italy. Simply put, it's the best restaurant in Washington state.

No they do not have gluten free pasta. Having dined there just last month, we asked and at the time none was available. Great food though!

We were seated quickly and it wasn't too busy so we were able to get a booth seat. The inside was nice and the booth was comfy. I decided to try a few items from the happy hour menu. Got an IPA for $8. Started with the k-pop wings. They were delicious and juicy and had a great flavor, and I enjoyed the sauces it came with. Also got the lamb burger. Honestly pretty disappointed. It was pretty dry, with barely any sauces and the bread made it more dry so it was hard to eat. The lamb was pretty good but wasn't the best. I also wish it came with fries or something else as a side. Finally got the Bibimbap with tofu. It was beautifully plated and had a lot of toppings but the rice was inedible. It seems to be at least a day old, not fresh, and it was not warm at all. The rice made it hard for me to enjoy as that was majority of the dish. The tofu was pretty good but overall I wouldn't return here unless for the k-pop wings. After dropping off the bill our waitress didn't come back at all so we had to wait a long time to get checked out, even another waiter had to come in and check us out because he realized she didn't come back. Kinda disappointed :/

The ambience is modern and clean, but the restaurant is in a large space, and the tables are nice and spread out, so you don't feel like you are on top of one another. Even with the open kitchen, the restaurant is not super loud over overwhelming. The food was amazing! It had unique dishes and and staple dishes so there is something for everyone. The appetizers were my favorite. We tried both the ahi nachos and the savory panna cotta with some pita. Both are must tries, but if you have to choose only one, get the panna cotta. The sweetness of the berries and honey with the saltiness of the cheese and pistachios is perfection. For my main I had the New York steak which was cooked great. I was in the mood for steak, and while my steak was delicious I definitely want to go back and try more of the entrees. Then for dessert, we had their take on a sticky toffee pudding and it was the perfect way to end meal. Salted Mill is a must try in Walla Walla.

The first thing is coming in you get that rustic lodge feeling from the woodwork and decor as you get hit with that smokehouse aroma. No better way to get you hungry and set the mood for BBQ. Just yum! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. She was attentive and checked in but never intrusive, hovering and did not ignore us once served. Tried a flight with Huckleberry, Berry, Cinnamon, Espresso and Walla Walla Sweet Onion (they "tree in" the espresso). Could take or leave the berries espresso and cinnamon were fantastic while the onion was interesting. Had a Bloody Mary with the onion and it was good. One table mate had the loaded potato with Mac and cheese and pulled pork. The noodles were bigger than skinny boxed and very tender. The cheese was creamy and flavorful and the pulled pork was tender and juicy and jam packed with flavor but could have been a bit more smoky. For the food: I got a small BBQ platter which came with 3-meat choices , a dinner roll and a single side choice. I chose baked beans for my side. Tri-tip, ribs and brisket for my meats. I tasted the beans nothing special but tasty. Same for the roll. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, juicy and meaty! I got three 3"-4" ribs. I also had a small pile of super thin sliced tender juicy and flavorful tri-tip and three 1/4-1/2" thick slices of brisket. The brisket was moist and had a good smoke flavor as well. I ate all the ribs, half the tri-tip and a slice of brisket. The rest went home with me as this was a hearty serving. We had to keep telling people the same things over and over. Things like "someone already said they were getting that for us" not that we needed to keep asking for things! Important difference.) The manger, I think, kept saying he would get things then ended up over committing to tasks and someone else would end up doing it. This isn't a complaint just something I'd suggest having a discussion with with staff and change- lots of business do this because they want to be attentive but it comes off sloppy and messy and just ends up interrupting the meal more than anything. Everyone was doing this with the best intention though. Only love and advice here! The drinks were very good. Loved seeing all the holiday themed stuff everywhere VERY VERY cute!!!! we loved the heart napkins and the whole vibe was 10/10. I thought my food was bland, everyone else loved theirs, so I won't dock starts for that. Excited to visit this place again next time we are in town. Edit: docked it a star over the owner passive aggressive immediate reply. Comes off like "shut up I'm right you're wrong." I've been in the industry over 20 years and have seen many place fail, flail, and have great success. The successful ones never have a manager or owner that is passive aggressive over a pretty nice review. I hope you learn to take criticism and your business thrives though! (If you were so busy you wouldn't have, or at minimum KNOW you wouldn't have, time talk to every one. I never once saw you "delegate" a task to someone else. I saw you repeatedly say you'd do a task then someone on staff notice it wasn't done the do it for you. You told the boss you'd seat us then wandered off to do whatever behind the bar and she sat us- her job you didn't need to butt into btw. You did say you'd get cheese and did it yourself. You came by a bunch to make sure our table, and every table we could see, was happy but it seemed more for ego than anything because you kept repeating how but YOU are from the second we walked in until we left. You said you'd get my father in law another drink then it simply never came but whatever we just left without another high priced cocktail on our bill, your loss. Trust your staff, take accountability, much love.) Edit again: the owner refuses to stop lying and saying he's "defending himself" more to that over on the google reviews. Staff is great, food is below mid, owner is beyond help. Edit again: just noticed he EDITED HIS REPLY TO ME to try to change the story that he wasn't as rude as before! So I added a screen shot. Talk about "MESSY." Do NOT support this clearly narcissistic owner! Lying, manipulating, gaslighting, and all over what was originally a four star review!!! Wow!!!
