Fantastic find of a place! Excellent BBQ and reasonable prices. Not a full service cocktail place but drinks made with their spirits were good. The first thing is coming in you get that rustic lodge feeling from the woodwork and decor as you get hit with that smokehouse aroma. No better way to get you hungry and set the mood for BBQ. Just yum! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. She was attentive and checked in but never intrusive, hovering and did not ignore us once served. Tried a flight with Huckleberry, Berry, Cinnamon, Espresso and Walla Walla Sweet Onion (they "tree in" the espresso). Could take or leave the berries espresso and cinnamon were fantastic while the onion was interesting. Had a Bloody Mary with the onion and it was good. One table mate had the loaded potato with Mac and cheese and pulled pork. The noodles were bigger than skinny boxed and very tender. The cheese was creamy and flavorful and the pulled pork was tender and juicy and jam packed with flavor but could have been a bit more smoky. For the food: I got a small BBQ platter which came with 3-meat choices , a dinner roll and a single side choice. I chose baked beans for my side. Tri-tip, ribs and brisket for my meats. I tasted the beans nothing special but tasty. Same for the roll. The ribs were fall off the bone tender, juicy and meaty! I got three 3"-4" ribs. I also had a small pile of super thin sliced tender juicy and flavorful tri-tip and three 1/4-1/2" thick slices of brisket. The brisket was moist and had a good smoke flavor as well. I ate all the ribs, half the tri-tip and a slice of brisket. The rest went home with me as this was a hearty serving. To end our evening we were sent on our way with well wishes and thanks for patronage from our server and the bartender! read more

A fine place for a quick meal in downtown Walla Walla! Walla Walla's charming Main Street offers many wine tasting rooms but apparently few restaurants. We were pleased to find that Cedar Rain Spirits, while focused on cocktails & spirits, will happily serve food and beer and coffee. This is a great place to eat! The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We had a service dog with our party and they went out of their way to make sure we were seated where the pup had space on the floor. Our server was so great! I am usually one who needs a chaser for any kind of hard liquor but these are very good! Just a nice warm feeling on the way down. The baked potato is massive!! We went to Cedar Rain for the BBQ. We were in WW for a three night get-away and were very glad to have found this place. The BBQ was stellar. We've never had try-tip sliced so thin, and so mouthwateringly good. We split the large BBQ platter, added a side salad, and had the smoked peach crisp, which was divine. Great chatting with the son of the owner. This is a family run operation that deserves every bit of business they can get. read more

Me and my father's friends raymond and ellie took us here last weekend and the staff, drinks, and the food was AMAZING! When you find a little place does things right, it's a rarity. Food is good. Service is friendly. But the star of this little place is the drinks. I am personally not a fan of White Russians, but their version is great. It has that hint of chocolate that just does it. And if you are a 80s kid missing an Orange Julius, try their cream cycle. Wow!! We came in and ate the 3 brisket tacos recommended by our dear friend - mark. It was so delicious, moist and flavorful. The bartender Bri made me a huckleberry mojito which was refreshing after I told her what I liked. Mark had the Pilsner, hubby had the Bloody Mary with their vodka and then a Collin's cutie with their house distilled green tea vodka. Robert (the distiller) gave us an incredible experience. We had a tasting, and every vodka and liqueur was incredible, we wanted to buy every bottle! They make amazing cocktails. But they aren't restaurant ready. The BBQ platter contained ribs (room temperature, but tender and tasty), pulled pork & brisket - both cool. The mac and cheese was a gelatinous blob of microwaved pasta. Pork and beans nothing special. They seemed to be in a hurry to move us along. At first I was a little reluctant to take the recommendation of the front desk of a nearby hotel. I was in town for work and wanted to walk somewhere for dinner. I was hankering for BBQ, so I took the stroll to Cedar Rain. And... Oh so glad I did. The technique on the menu from the proteins, beans and coleslaw was such a pleasant and fresh surprise.
