I've been to Bar Botanico many times, and it's always one of my favorite spots. I absolutely love the vibe and how clean and inviting the inside feels. One of the best features is the garage door that opens when it's warm outside--it gives the whole place such a great atmosphere. I also love the green vines throughout the space and the funny dog portraits, which add so much character. The drinks have always been good. I usually order an espresso martini with tequila, which I really enjoy. This time I decided to try something different, and while it was definitely a little odd, it was still good for one drink. The only downside this visit was when I tried to order another drink with a different fruit mixer, the bartender let us know that the cocktails are premixed now, which was a bit of a bummer. Overall, still a great place with an amazing atmosphere and consistently good drinks.

Lovely atmosphere with plants, fun decor, and sunlight everywhere, one of the prettiest places to grab a drink! And the drinks are also just as pretty and delicious, with a bunch of of different flavors and combos, they also can craft something for you, but the specials are so varied that you can def find something you like! Also the staff was great and made sure to check what flavors and strength you would like to steer you in the right direction, would definitely recommend!

I came here with girlfriends on a really lovely, temperate Monday evening. We definitely didn't expect it to be as busy as it was, but alas. We were seated right away and were brought water pretty promptly. The menu is eclectic and fun and boasts of something for everyone (mezcal & gin girl over here). I started with the Dainty Dame and will be honest that it wasn't my favorite, but was drinkable. I also had Da Rockwilder, which I liked much better! My other friends had beer and a mocktail, so nothing to really comment on there. Service was fine. Nothing overly amazing but adequate. Would return!

I love Bar Botanico! Their drinks are super creative. Definitely always recommend the bartender's choice - it's usually a hit for everyone! The vibes are the best; dimly lit, plants and disco balls, good music. It can get a little overwhelming when it's packed, but the host is really good about managing the crowd. It's a Lawrenceville staple!

I asked for an extra filthy gin dirty martini and this certainly delivered! We went late on a Saturday night and were able to get a table! The vibes are so cute in there. Definitely would go back!

Bar botanico makes you feel like you teleported to a cool city bar in NYC, Miami, LA - it's so unique The perfect bar for a drink before dinner, a nightcap or a visit for a while. The bartenders are true mixologists. I thought they had such fascinating skills. I loved the fresh plants throughout the bar, it added such lovely detail.

Met friends here around 6pm. Street parking is available, but leave a little extra time to find a spot. The vibe is light and bright. Casual and modern. There is both bar and table seating. We had a group of eight and had a table in the back. The drinks are creative, strong, and fresh. There is truly something for everyone (vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, wine, beer lovers). I ordered the White Whale and loved it. Our table ordered nearly one of everything on the menu and gave kudos to the drink quality all around. Service was very good. Waters were filled. Cocktails served quickly. While we didn't eat, I would definitely order the snacks next time which are perfectly paired to their cocktails.

Love a place with bartenders choice options my friends and I all have very different preferences and wee given perfect cocktails. The inside is very small but decorated in florals and greenery. Hugeeeee alcohol selection. Small bites from a kitchen in the back.

My friend and I went here for cocktail and had a great time. It is super boujee but the cocktails are great. Also definitely a good place for a date.

I really love the vibe of this place! I was able to sit at the gorgeous bar this time and loved it! This was during dry january and I love that they had multiple zero proof mocktail options! I started with the zero proof espresso martini! It was beautiful, presentation is super important to me for my espresso tinis! Tasted good too! For my second beverage, the bartender offered to make me something off the cuff because they had a lot of zero proof spirits! It was a n/a whiskey based mocktail, and I found it really refreshing!

Cute place to stop in for a drink! Love the plants and concept for the space. The drinks were creative and well made and also had some mocktail options! Bartenders were helpful and attentive on drink options. Overall, crafty cocktails and a fun atmosphere, so give it a try before or after your next dinner plans!

I was blown away by the atmosphere, the efficiency and organization of the staff, and the drinks were incredible. Both of the gin martinis (which are sometimes hard to find) were delectable in their own very distinct right - one being fruit forward and one being more herbal, oily. I had an incredible experience here and would 1000% go back.

Lovely time with evening drinks at Bar Botanico. Super clean and I love the nature aesthetic. Bartenders were really knowledgeable and attentive. All our drinks were delicious! I started with Spirited Away since I prefer Asian flavors in cocktails and it was strong and tasty! Then tried one of their hot cocktails, the Bolivia Rodrigo, and it was a perfect way to warm me up. It is very spiced so if you're not looking for that don't order it. Can't wait to go back!

The bar serves cocktails, wines, beers, and mocktails. For dinner and late-night bites, the restaurant focuses mostly on small plates and shareables, including charcuterie, chicken wings, pizzetta, steak, and salmon. They also have a Sunday brunch that serves lox bagel, shrimp and grits, French toast, mimosa, bloody Mary, etcetera. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The best aspect of The Finch was its beautiful views of downtown Pittsburgh's skyscrapers, Monongahela River, and subway trains. The foods and drink were a mixture of quality, and my husband called them "garbage" (eek!). Here are my ratings for them. Berry Mint Spritz - 4 stars - This mocktail (I could have ordered it with alcohol to turn it into a cocktail) contained strawberries, mint, lemon, syrup, and soda water. All of the flavor had settled on the bottom of the glass, so I could have used a straw to mix the drink, but I did enjoy the flavors. Summer Crab Cakes - 2 stars - I received two crab cakes, and they were some of the worst crab cakes that I have ever received anywhere. They contained too much breading and too little meat. I did not even like the flavor of the cherry tomatoes on the side. I usually love crab cakes, but with these ones, I could take only a couple of bites, and then I had the waitress throw away the rest. Hawaiian Pizzetta - 4 stars - This small pizza consisted of four slices that had cheese but no gooey cheese-pull. Other toppings were BBQ sauce drizzle, pineapple, ham, and red pepper. I thought that it tasted good. Ember Steak Skewers - 4 stars - My husband said that the steak was not the highest quality. At least the chunks of steak, peppers, onions, and mushroom (we counted one piece of mushroom!) were marinated and seasoned nicely. The total cost for this one mocktail, three foods, and one soda was $79 *plus* a 3% credit-card surcharge, tax, and a minimum tip of 18%. We asked the waitress for a receipt, but she did not bring us one, so we walked up to her to ask for it again, and we did receive it.

It came with BBQ chips, and when our bartender--the same guy from that morning--noticed how much I loved them, he brought me extra. Such a thoughtful touch. The rest of our drinks were equally inventive and well-crafted. I admittedly had some doubts about whether the creativity would translate into cocktails that actually tasted good, but they completely proved me wrong. A fun concept backed by genuinely great drinks and hospitality.

The best part about this place is the cocktails but don't expect them to be strong. My drink was absolutely delicious but with the mood effects of a mocktail, meaning nothing. I ordered two because why is this almost $20 with no buzz in sight, are we not a lounge? The menu was plentiful though I think the chef may be a little off about the origins of some of the menu items- just be Greek, friend, it'll be okay. I didn't try the pizza, which is almost half of the menu because I wasn't impressed by the small plates. How can you get pickled cauliflower wrong in Pittsburgh. That should be a sin. The hummus was okay but could use a little more ancient influence... like maybe 4,000 years worth, idk. Overall, I wouldn't be back and wouldn't recommend. It's trendy in it's ambience but doesn't deliver anything better than 25 other spots along the same street. AVVA in Aspinwall is a better option. I came here based on reviews by Elite's and this place was incredibly misrepresented.
