We were a group of 8 and did a birthday dinner here! It is a great spot to grab a couple good drinks and share some good appetizers. We got the roasted garlic and gruyère fries which are a MUSTTT they are absolutely delicious. Another good one is the crispy sprouts. The service is always great. For entrees we got the Ravioli with grilled chicken which was good, but for the price there is not a lot of ravioli. The only disappointment was the steak. What a great restaurant/speakeasy in the Strip! There aren't a lot of vegetarian options to choose from, but the ones that I chose were delicious. The grilled halloumi and pesto sandwich was amazing and the size of the sandwich pretty decent. The watermelon feta salad was also delicious! The grilled asparagus was nice and crunchy as well. We had a private event here the other week and it went really well! The private room is a cool vibe and spacious. Our servers did a great job of checking in on us at appropriate intervals. I was a little wary when I realized our food would be buffet style instead of individually plates but each dish was delicious and there was plenty to around. Cadence Cellars was one of my family's favorite stops in the Strip. They had some of the most excellent drinks and food, and we spent so many wonderful days there over the years. This was our anniversary restaurant choice. The ambiance is very cool. It's fairly large inside with tables spaced nicely apart. A cute sign said "Happy Anniversary." Our server was nice. No conversation, no recommendations, and no well wishes on our anniversary. The bread was spectacular, and needed more butter, but our waitress rarely checked back. Ordered pork schnitzel. It was tasty with nice breading and, although it looked o recooked, it wasn't. I had probably a tablespoon of mashed potato's. They were very good.. I think... gave hubby a taste and I had about 2 tastes left. They compensated by giving e tea carrots, I think. Nice idea, but I love my carbs. The "sneaky" moves (like adding carrots so someone didn't have to do proper mashed potatoes) continued into dessert. My gelato has 4 choc chips... in total. It was sent back and we were told they ran out of chips. In that case, DON'T PLATE IT!! Checked the desserts to go and there was no sauce w the cheesecake. Apparently they ran out and tried to pass it off hoping we wouldn't check (I'm guessing). They did remove the desserts, but we had to say something, which is awkward to begin with at an upper class establishment. Desserts were comped, but again, that just feels weird to complain!! Overall due to the sneaky moves, I gotta give 3 stars. Why plate something that obviously isn't right or is missing items? Either management screams at the Expo/server playing dessert or they totally don't care. We won't make a return trip. read more

Came in on a Thursday night for some happy hour drinks and apps before going out for a friends birthday. For myself I had the tuna tartare appetizer which was incredible and then we all shared some French onion dip. I'm not usually a fan of French onion dip but I could not stop stuffing the chips and dip down my mouth. I didn't try any of the signature cocktails but my friends that did all really enjoyed them. We are DEVASTATED that they're getting rid of Sunday brunch because it was the best dang brunch this city has to offer. We got the chicken and biscuits, breakfast bowl, and French toast. The chorizo gravy for the biscuits and bowl was phenomenal and we hope to replicate it at home. The French toast was light and fluffy, plus the syrup and fruit compote were top notch. The speakeasy vibe is everywhere you look in the room. We were impressed that even the restrooms kept up with the theme. Our server, Ian, was GREAT. I checked out the new fall menu and yummm. We got the braised short rib and the filet. The short rib the meat fell apart and was so good. The filet was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. I had high hopes for our dinner tonight, but it was an average experience at best. We had a reservation at 5:30 and didn't get seated for over 20 minutes. There were parties who came in after us (and also appeared to have a reservation) and they were seated first. The server was good, but the pace of the meal was not. Our appetizers came out quickly but then it was a solid hour wait for our entrees. When they finally came out, they weren't even that hot. As far as the food, the tuna tartare was tasty and plentiful but the fried burrata was a very small portion for the price. For entrees, we had the butternut squash ravioli, which was pretty good... but the chicken we added to the entree was dry and overcooked (burnt in some spots) and actually detracted from the taste of the ravioli. We also had the short rib, which the meat portion was plentiful and tasty, but the risotto, zucchini and cauliflower that accompanied the dish were a bit gross to be completely honest. The restaurant itself was nice and I like the re-purposing of the building. The lighting was nice and the decor was warm. Definitely a speakeasy vibe. I would not come back for dinner, but would return for happy hour perhaps. read more

Did not love my experience here unfortunately. The server did not seem very knowledgeable about the menu options that were gluten free. My table of 4 struggled to get the server's attention to order and it took a long time for our food to come out. The fries are in a shared fryer. You can have a few meat entrees and salads but would have liked to see gf labeled. I had the beef kabobs without the naan. I would rate it average unfortunately. Great drinks though! Celiac note: I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2023 and have been on the hunt for safe and delicious gluten-free spots around Pittsburgh ever since. Got a reservation here for New Years Eve and was so excited! They were upfront about offering a limited menu when I made the reservation but they still had plenty of options to choose from! And this really helped their service to run quickly and smoothly! They had the space decorated beautifully for the holidays, it feels like you're in a cave, but a really warm and cozy cave if that makes sense. For starters, we ordered the beef Wellington eggrolls. I really was excited to try these, I thought it was a really unique menu item. They were VERY good, but a little dry and we were scraping the plate for aioli. We ended up asking for more on the side to dip and it made all the difference. I enjoyed a couple Arsenal Snowbound Cinnamon ciders, one of my favorites! I adore anyplace that keeps Arsenal cider on hand, especially the seasonal varieties! My entree came with a salad and option to upgrade to a Caesar which I opted for! This Caesar was excellent! Perfectly dressed with real parm shavings! The star of the night was the chicken Marsala. Served on a bed of mashed potatoes and green beans. This is one of the best Marsalas I've had. They added golden raisins to the sauce, which sounds crazy, but it works. It works really really well. I cleaned my plate. The chicken was tender and there was a generous amount of mushrooms in the sauce as well. I can't wait to return and try more of their menu items! read more

The entrance to Cadence is a bit odd, but once you get down to the cellar, the vibe is great. They had a lot of cool rooms down there for events, too. The menu options are very interesting. Picky eaters can always order from the bar menu, which offers some more standard bar options. The calamari was some of the best I've had in a long time & came with crispy asparagus, of all things -delicious!
