Loved the atmosphere here! We wanted something light after a concert nearby. We ordered the Insalata Mista, and the Margherita pizza. The salad was DElICIOUS! Come for the happy hour, stay for the ricotta. A quaint and whimsical spot nestled in the eccentric Atwood neighborhood, we went to celebrate a recent promotion at work and try their happy hour, which is Sunday through Thursday 4pm - 6pm and ordered Spritz for $6 and shared a Quattro pizza. One word: WOW! I made reservations a few days before which were easy to get. Inside is super trendy and makes you feel like you're stepping into an interior designers trendy hangout with patterned walls. The food is SO GOOD. This was my first time at Bar Corallini. We sat on their terrace. I recommend making reservations if you'd like to be indoors as it was full! I had the ricotta gnocchi. The gnocchi were homemade! The sauce was absolutely delicious. ... But I'm here to sing praises about the antipasti board! For $22 this could be a whole dinner for two (see pics if you don't believe me!) The cheeses and charcuterie were to die for. It is worth noting that Bar Corallini also offers a vegan/veggie version of their antipasti board! My fiance and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was probably half full, not too busy to be annoying. Service was a little lacking based on how many people were there, maybe they were understaffed. We ordered a pizza and the braised octopus. The pizza was good and the octopus was too charred for our liking, both were quite pricey compared to the quality we received. The affogato, on the other hand, was a completely different story. Bar Corallini is first and foremost, a gem. The taste and quality if great Italian food, without all the unnecessary gimmicks or feeling like a good food experience is only for the elites. Been here a few times, got something new each time (dessert notwithstanding because I can't not get the uh-mazing cannoli!), and have always left full, satisfied, and wishing I could fit more in my stomach! Not sure what's going on with this place, I used to love it. Went there last night (6/4/25) and had one of the worst meals. Started off with bad service, no silverware or napkins. When the appetizer came, still none. After we finally got silverware we had to ask twice for napkins. The tagliatelle was so incredibly bad we didn't eat much of it. The noodles were clumped together, sauce was like water. I should have sent it back but I didn't want to make a fuss, for the price they should have a competent cook even mid week. Fresh and plentiful with Prosciutto di Parma, soppressata, grilled eggplant, marinated zucchini, roasted red peppers, marinated artichokes, heirloom cherry tomatoes with pesto, stracciatella, whipped ricotta, toasted ciabatta. The Rigatoni Alla Bolognese was perfection with beef & pork in a delicious sauce. The calzone was one of the best we've had. The crust was perfectly baked stuffed with Ricotta, mushrooms, cotto ham, house-made mozzarella, San Marzano tomato sauce, and fresh basil. The fresh spaghetti with prawns was al dente and delicious. I've been here three times, and I'm obsessed! Great drinks, attentive service, and romantic environment. I came here last night with a few friends. We started with drinks and the charcuterie board. My friends and I agreed that this board is one of the best we've had in the area. The board wasn't covered in random meats and cheeses; there was a beautiful combination of soft spreading cheeses, two meats, and roasted veggies. I would come back just for the board alone. I had the rosemary vodka infused martini with olives. The drink was strong but tasty. For entree, I ordered the smoked arctic char. The char was perfectly smoked with a delicious crisp paired with puree. I will definitely be having the fish again. Italy or Atwood!? Bar Corallini is such a fun date night place or girls night adventure. I love when restaurants provide a cultural experience like you might have while traveling. Not everyone is able to travel and have experiences in other countries, yet some of those amazing travel experiences I believe can be cultivated right here in our own neighborhood when artists open restaurants. Wow! We've been hoping to stop by here for a long time but we've been so busy and so has Bar Corallini! 5 stars for service, atmosphere, and amazing food and drinks! Our server was super helpful with suggestions and recommendations. We ordered cocktails, apps, entrees and dessert. I saw they have special house infusions - the Blackberry infused Tito's sound excellent, I asked if I could get that in one of their house cocktails and the bartender made it happen! Caipiroska with blackberry Tito's! Yum. We enjoyed the Gnocco Fritto - an excellent, well balanced appetizer with delicious bread, prosciutto, tomatoes, burrata, provolone and more. Everything you love about meat, cheese, and bread all on one plate. For entrees, we had the 8 Finger Cavatelli and the Chicken Picatta. Bellisimo! The cavatelli was creamy with perfect noodles, just the right amount of seafood flavor. We finished the night off with an affogato and a cannolo. The espresso with vanilla gelato was wonderful, and the cannolo was unique and flavorful with a strong orange taste. Excellent all around!! We can't wait to come back. read more

This place was booming on Tuesday and I understand why! My boyfriend and I had Food Fight gift cards and decided to spend them at a restaurant neither of us had tried. We started off with the antipasti board and water to drink (Dry January...). I would have liked a nice virgin cocktail and probably could have asked for it but thought I'd spend my calories elsewhere. The antipasti was fantastic, although I wish they would have supplied more bread for the leftover items we had on the board. Great selection of treats and all served on a cool wooden board. We also ordered the pennoni alla norma pasta to split. The pasta was different than I expected, but was tasty. Huge portion. Would have maybe liked a little more toppings. Finally, we each got dessert. I got the cannoli (tasty orange flavor) and boyfriend got the chocolate sorbet (super rich and good portion). Bar Corallini is easily my favorite Italian spot in town. You start the night with a fantastic classic Italian cocktail selection. As someone who is both gluten and dairy free, they are SO accommodating from the appetizer course through dessert. My friends ordered the Antipasti Board. Given I am gluten and dairy free, I expected to just snack on the charcuterie and vegetables. To my surprise, the server offered to bring sides of gluten free bread and vegan ricotta. My favorite dish is their vegan cacio e pepe, which is made using their house-made vegan ricotta (which is a slam dunk even just on a piece of bread). Their vegan offerings have to be the best I've found both in a restaurant and at the grocery store. I love to end the night with a chocolate affogato (they use chocolate sorbet) or the house-made limoncello. I truly have no complaints! read more

The very first Italian restaurant I have eaten at since my return from Italy Dec 2019. This being Napolise vice cuisine of the FVG region of Italy, it was different then what I had while living there but I knew this going in and welcome the comparison and novelty of the dishes put out by Chef Giovanni. I even got to have some small talk with him as he worked his magic in the kitchen the night we came in. In Italian too! Magnifico! I was with a party of 9 so we all got to get a wide choice of drinks and entrees from the menu but I can only report on what I got and tried. Sicilian red wine good, cocktail good! grilled octopus and potato appetizer solid! entree of chicken piccata was on point! generous portion of flattened juicy chicken breast, lightly breaded and seasoned, crisp and delicious. topped with an amazing traditional gravy with capers. served with a side arugula salad that paired well with the meat main. finished every last bite of this dish. our serve was professional, attentative and quick to our needs. the GM Richie even came out to say hello to us all and check on our group. like to see management out front and center to engage with customers like that. my dining group all seemed to enjoy their pizzas, daily specials and muffeleta as well. from the looks of it no one was dissapointed one bit. i see why the hype has kept this place a buzz around madison now. legit place for drinks as the bar area is well designed and inviting. the booths and dining area is also set up well. the kitchen is open to see the action going on live as is traditional in Italy. meeting the chef and GM was also a treat for me to see the people behind the food. ill be back again soon. read more

First experience at Bar Corallini for me. Were surprised to find the parking lot already full at 430pm, so had to find street parking. As a table of 10 they squeezed us into a round table that really should be meant for 8 max, as we had no elbow room,but we made it work. Every single dish and cocktail was thoughtfully crafted, pleasing to both the eyes and the stomach. You can tell the items were made from scratch and they take real pleasure in their work. The appetizer board was a lot of mushy vegetables and super spicy pepperoni, I think that's the only item I would not order again. read more

Beautiful space! Reminded me of a place in Little Italy in NYC. Also kind of reminds me of Ancora downtown in Madison now that I think about it, lol. Excellent food! I've enjoyed everything I've had here so far, as have my dining companions. And the portions are more generous than I expected. A pleasant surprise. Definitely in my top three for Madison pasta. Cocktails have been a little hit or miss for me. Hard to put my finger on what exactly it is but some have just fallen a little flat. The wine menu wasn't anything to write home about. Service has been near perfect. Slightly over attentive for my taste but that seems to be the norm with food fight restaurants. It'd actually be better to let the staff be more themselves, I think. This was my second visit and I confess, I just love this place. The ambiance, the service, the food and drink- just fantastic. We were seated at the exact same table as our first visit, haha. Hoping to sit near the bar some time. :) We started the night with cocktails: Take it Easy and Goodbye Stranger. Both were well-made, tasty drinks that we thoroughly enjoyed. Tonight we ordered the appetizer special which included olive oil poached salmon on an Italian tostada with shaved asparagus and stracciatella. The poached salmon was unbelievably good. The flavors in this dish complimented each other very well- BC knocked it out of the park with this one. Our dinner entrees included the ricotta gnocchi as well as the 8 finger cavatelli. The cavatelli was a beautifully made pasta with shrimp, pink vodka sauce, cherry tomatoes, walnuts and parsley. The gnocchi dish contained peas, asparagus, pine nuts, Parmigiano Reggiano, mint, lemon butter. The crunchy asparagus and pine nuts were a nice contrast to the gnocchi. I am still dreaming about the Cacio e pepe from last night. The combination of the cheese sauce and peppercorn was so flavorful. The homemade noodles were absolutely perfect! I also got the warm olives and bread. The olives had an orange zest marinated in the olive oil. It was so refreshing and unique. The bread came out warm and soft with a crunchy crust. The food was a 10/10 for me. The ambiance inside is so cute! It has dimly lit and is decorated with unique light fixtures and neon signs. The decor is super cute as well. It's so fun to dine in because of the vibe. I was very impressed with the service. It was very quick and our waitress was extremely nice. After coming here twice, it's time for a good review -- this place is delicious and a must-eat for Madison foodies. I've been for lunch, dinner cocktails and dessert. The cocktails are wonderful, their drink selection is outstanding. One night they had a guest bartender and I absolutely loved my drink. All recommendations were from our amazing server, Isabel (who I had both times I visited!) We got the cheese board and it's incredible and filling for a table of 2-4 people. The prosciutto is still on my mind. The gnocchi is funky and really cool -- I've ordered it twice as a table sharer. The pizza and gluten free bread are excellent. Then the orange cannolis and tiramisu -- holy crap. I brought my Sicilian aunt here and she was impressed. It's damn good. Definitely come visit this restaurant. Our son suggested this place, which is a few minutes north of his apartment in Madison. Good suggestion. Parking is a bit of a challenge - they do have a small lot to the north of the building. We found a space there. We had a reservation right at opening time, and the restaurant opened the doors a few minutes early to let us in. We started with two appetizers - warm olives and Eggplant Fritters. My wife remarked she had never seen eggplant prepared like this, and it was really good. The warm olives met the menu's intent - a good selection of various olives, served in warm oil. Yummy! My son and I both went for the Gnocchi alla Romana which was on special, while my wife went for their Paccheri. The food was marvelous - tasty, served hot and fresh, and just splendid! For desert, we split 2 cannolis between us. The mixed drinks we tried included their HH Negroni, a Negroni Picante, and a Paper Plane. All were quite good. If you are looking for a nice place to get dinner, picking this place would be a darn good choice. The restaurant atmosphere is casual chic - it's quite trendy and nice looking. read more

We had heard the hype about the newest Food Fight restaurant and had seen the strong reviews so we made a reservation (over a week in advance and all we could get on a weeknight was an early bird slot). Loved the vibe on this Thursday night and the decor of the space. My partner ordered the pasta bolognese which was good but nothing special. I selected their take on the New Orleans speciality a Muffeletta sandwich - it had very good flavors with some good spice. The only downside is that the "bread" of the sandwich was made of pizza crust. The crust was good but it was too much bread - too dense and too filling. There weren't that many things on the menu I would order so I am not sure I would rush back. read more

If you are staying near the capital, you are going to need a car to get here unless you enjoy very long walks or long distance running. it turned out that parking was really difficult due to their fully occupied private parking lot. I drove around for 20 minutes and finally found a United Way spot. We had a somewhat poorly located high top table with a great view of the dishwasher station. We liked the food. We had a sausage and olive pizza, some fried pizza dough, and a fennel salad that we shared. The restaurant was totally full on a Tuesday night so I think you will probably need reservations. We called after we tried to make a reservation online earlier in the day and it said they were completely sold out for the night unless we wanted to come in around 9 PM. read more

The food was really good! We did not have a reservation, so we had to wait about 45 minutes for a seat at the bar. (Which is exactly what the hostess predicted.) I like that they take reservations for the tables and use a waitlist for walk ins to be seated at the bar. We actually really liked sitting at the bar! The bartenders were friendly, attentive and made excellent drinks! Beware though, they keep the lights really low so be sure to bring your reading glasses! lol read more
