    Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes

Service was fine, nothing special. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is dark and creaky, but I think fitting for a supper club vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is expensive and disappointing. I had the prime rib which was not hot and overcooked. Not worth the price. The chicken Parmesan was really big. The chicken was good, the pasta was mediocre. The mashed potatoes were bland. The Brussels sprouts were the best thing - crispy, salty, sweet, and delicious. I would literally only order the Brussels sprouts to go in the future and wouldn't return to the restaurant otherwise.

This is one of our favorite restaurants! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We love coming here on nice days to sit on the patio, for Friday night fish fries, and for special occasions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu seems to have something for everyone, and the portions are generous. There are so many great items on the menu from salads, to burgers, to pasta, to fish and more. The manager is incredibly accommodating and welcoming and our servers are always super friendly. The food is so good that I always forget to take a picture before we dig in.

Chicken Alla Parmigiana really god huge portion fed me and my 2 kids 4 and 2 with leftovers.

I really like this place. Came early at 5:30 for a table and we did t have to wait at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio was open and they have an upstairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have two bars up and down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They got really busy by 6:30 and you could tell the servers were moving but they still provided my table with great service. I'll come back!

The historic aspect of dining at the Stamm House unfortunately did not outweigh the disappointing and over-priced meal we had there. Our group of six arrived exactly on time for our Saturday night reservation. Still, we had to wait for our table despite the fact that much of the restaurant was empty. The group that arrived after us, with no reservation, was attended to and seated before us. We started with drinks and appetizers. The cocktail I ordered was pretty watered down. When the appetizers we ordered arrived at the table, our server completely forgot to bring plates and silverware. He walked away from the table and we assumed he'd be back with them shortly. But when he returned to take our entree orders, he did not have plates in hand and we had to ask him outright to bring them. The truffle fries were alright, nothing spectacular. The calamari was a teenie tiny serving size. The Brussel sprouts were undercooked but probably the best thing I ate the whole meal. All three apps were served with nondescript mayo sauces that basically tasted the same. My husband ordered the chef special, which was bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin and shrimp. It wasn't bad, but very very salty. The mashed potatoes were incredibly dry and the salad was the best thing on the plate, despite the weird inclusion of avocado. I ordered the chicken piccata, one of my favorite dishes... it was inedible. $25 got me hard, undercooked, boxed pasta (none of the dishes we ordered featured fresh pasta), incredibly overcooked and dry chicken, and a nonsensical array of mushrooms, tomatoes and canned artichoke hearts. I ate about two bites of food before deciding it wasn't worth it. Overall, a super disappointing meal. I don't think we'll return or recommend to others... I really wish we would have gone downtown for a burger instead.

The ambiance of the outdoor seating drew me into this place every time I drove past it. Finally was able to try it out with some friends and we enjoyed the seating outside. The cocktails and fries were delicious, as well as the very refreshing Caesar salad. Unfortunately, our main dishes were lacking flavor and quite bland. I almost wonder if they forgot the sauce on our risotto (which is made with rice). I plan to go again and try something different or this may be more of a drink and app spot in my book.

    Cheese Curds

food came out super fast but they actually forgot about us in the beginning so it took a while for a server to help us. we got the cheese curds which imo tastes better than the old fashioned's cheese curds (juuuuust by a bit tho), the complimentary bread was so warm and the butter melted right into it!! the fish fry was good but i wish the truffle fries were thinner. we got the the bacon aioli on the side which was an interesting concept. can't say i'd get it again. the server recommended the salmon pasta but this was my least fav dish actually. felt like i could've cooked that up myself at home. my second fav part of the meal after the cheese curds was the creme brulee, it was everything i've been craving and the PERFECT end to dinner. service was otherwise really good once we actually had a waiter lol interior of the restaurant is really cute, it's really just the inside of a house!!

Have been by several times when visiting Middleton. Finally stopped in for drinks and dinner on a Saturday night. Seated immediately upstairs so we could enjoy the cool decor and setting. Love the history of the place. Had capable hostess and wait staff. We had tenderloin bites/toast for half price appetizer as we were there early in the evening. My husband had 12 oz. Prime rib with potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Very good! I had the salmon salad-fresh and tasty. Good wine & beer selections also. Recommend and glad we finally stopped in. Outside area looks very nice for warmer weather.

I love this place. At first we thought we'd have to wait because the parking lot was full. But we were surprised as almost no one was sitting at the cute outside area. (By the time we left it was full and the parking lot was still full). As we walked through the restaurant to get outside, the aroma was delicious. We ordered the grilled perch, with two sides. I had the beans which had a nice salty crunch. (Think weight watcher fries). Our server was prompt, brought water and refills without our asking, and got our orders right. I can't ask for more. Btw the fish was good too and we will be back not only for the fish but to try the other delicious sounding things on the menu.

Is their Wis Fish Fry any good? I heard it's very pricey for average fare...

I agree with pricey for average fare. Would not go back again but glad we went once because it is an interesting building.

We made a 12:00 PM reservation, which was definitely necessary because the place was full. Right off the bat, our server asked if anyone had food allergies or dietary restrictions. When I mentioned I have celiac disease, he confidently assured me they could absolutely accommodate it, which immediately gave me peace of mind. I ordered a strawberry spritz and we shared the gluten-free donuts to start. A huge win for the celiac community is that they have a dedicated fryer, so we also safely shared the truffle fries. For our main entrees, I had the fried rice which was excellent. My husband ordered the skirt steak hash with gluten-free toast and loved it, though it is worth noting for others that it packs quite a lot of spice. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive regarding the allergy protocols. The overall service ran a little slow, but it was understandable given how slammed they were for the Sunday rush. As an added bonus, the restaurant has its own parking lot, making the logistics seamless. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot, especially fellow celiacs looking for a safe and delicious meal!

A solid 3 stars…read more Arrived around 1130am on a gorgeous Saturday. The parking lot was full, which is a great sign. I was able to easily find a spot at the bar, another great sign. The bartenders were personable and competent (I watched them deftly make multiple drinks at once). The space is large and well lit, and the outdoor seating looked nice. I'm sure it's a vibe when the temps are a little warmer. I ordered 2 drinks. Haley's Comet - tasty, albeit a little sweet for me. Call Her Daddy - def my favorite, better balanced imo. I ordered the brunch fried rice and it was a letdown. It was advertised as having bacon and there was none to be found. The food was not hot, leaning towards cold. Like it had been sitting out. Oddly the poached egg was perfect. The rice itself was clumped, as if they didn't use dried out rice (what I'm used to for fried rice) As a rule, I tend not to send food back, so I ate the shrimp and let it be what it was. I was sorely disappointed though. I saw people ordering the brunch burger and honestly that looked way better than what I ordered. I'd be willing to give it another go, as the service and drinks were lovely
