Came here for happy hour and had an ok experience. The drink menu was quite small but the happy hour prices were decent. I got a spicy marg which wasn't really that spicy. The place itself is nice but they didn't have A/C and it was extremely warm inside. The service was average but the server was nice. Overall it was very average. read more

Witnessed one of the most racist bartenders I've ever seen. The man behind the bar was belligerent and began to yell at these two ladies. Then, he threw away these two ladies drinks because he wanted a tip from them. It ruined the mood in the establishment and everyone's night. He did not give them their money back either. "If the Serbian mafia owned a restaurant" This place is cringe decor and crowd with a pretty decent wine list. Hard to believe a place like this still exists in 2025, but yet, here it is. It has that old world Eastern feel of new money without the glass. Gold, over-the-top marble, glittery shininess abound. Overly formal and pretentious waiters. Maybe it's your gig but not mine. Came in for a brief moment because I saw the happy hour sign outside. (Arrived at 6pm on a Friday) and the vibe of the wine bar was very welcoming. I will admit that the bartender was slammed and alone but he definitely was hustling! My sister and I initially ordered the happy hour mule but couldn't finish. It tasted like it was made with some sort of sour mix and was not agreeing with our palate, so we went for the house Chardonnay instead, which also was underwhelming. I may return to grab a bite because the music and staff were great, but I'll be sure to stick to a simply tequila soda. read more

Wanted to check out this bar for it just opened. Upon entering, I got such a good homey vibe with a bunch of Christmas decorations throughout. The music choice(pop) was also great. The bartender was friendly and provided prompt service. I ordered the skinny margarita and they did not skimp out on the alcohol which I appreciated. Definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere casual, but not too casual to meet up with a friend or date to get some drinks in a classier environment than what you would find in your typical pub. To Vero Social Management, I live in the residence directly above your establishment and am writing to formally document an ongoing and entirely unacceptable issue with excessive noise originating from your venue. Despite repeated complaints from myself and other residents, the music and crowd noise on Friday and Saturday nights routinely continue until 5:00 a.m. This is not a minor inconvenience--it is a blatant disregard for the people who live above and around your business. Expecting residents to tolerate nightclub-level noise through the early morning hours is unreasonable, disruptive, and indefensible. The fact that this behavior continues after multiple complaints suggests not ignorance, but indifference. It is difficult to understand how a business operating in a mixed-use building can so consistently fail to respect basic standards of coexistence. Let me be clear: the next occurrence will result in immediate noise complaints being filed, and I will continue to report each incident until the issue is resolved. If this pattern persists, I will also escalate the matter publicly and through all appropriate channels. This situation should have been addressed long ago. Yesterday, we popped into this spot called Vero Social in New York for a glass of wine. It was a rainy day, so we thought, why not grab a charcuterie board while we're at it. To be honest, the place was nice, but a bit pricey, and the menu weren't all that impressive. The charcuterie board, which cost $29, had a few pieces of cheese, bread, meat slices, and jam. The only edible things on the board were the bread and jam. When the bill came, we paid $47ish and added a $3.47 for tip . So, the owner/Bartender came over with the bill and asked us, "Hey, how was the service tonight?" I gave him a thumbs up and said, "Yeah, everything was great." So, he kept going on and on about why we didn't tip 10%. I didn't have a chance to say anything until he said ."I curse you" and I responded. What did you say? He said , " I curse you" out loud to remind you I am walking out the door and he's all the way in the front next to the bar . Then he repeat it and yelled at me to "get the fuck out " " get the fuck out" That bill was a total rip-off, and the customer service was a complete disaster. read more

Perfect ambience, perfect service - Marko is the absolute BEST! I was waiting for the bus right outside Vero Social, when some crazy man started harassing me. Marko saw it immediately and came to my rescue. He invited me in to wait for the guy to leave. As I was waiting for the crazy man to finish his rant, I decided to check out the menu. Highly recommend the white wine and Mai Tai here - very talented and friendly mixologists that know how to make a tasty drink, and staff that know how to create a safe space for women. The owner is absolutely disgusting. I went to enjoy their happy hour by myself, chatted with the bartender and was having a nice evening. As soon as I went to the bathroom is when the issues started. I was in the bathroom for NO MORE THAN 2 Minutes and heard a banging on the bathroom door. As I was exiting I said "who banged on the door" since there was a woman standing there smiling awkwardly. The owner said " I DID, because YOU WERE TAKING TOO LONG TAKING PICTURES IN THE BATHROOM". I replied "how do you know what I am doing in the bathroom and how dare you rush me for another customer. I proceeded to say " don't ever do that again". He replied he absolutely would do it again. I told him he was disgusting for talking and treating me like that after patronizing his business. His reply was "thanks". I will never go there again. He is a disgusting human. read more

After recently hosting a Holiday party at Vero Social, it is safe to say we will for sure be hosting our future events at this beautiful establishment. For starters, setting up the arrangements for the party (scheduling a date, food and cocktail menu, allergies, dietary restrictions, payment, etc.) were all beyond professional, accommodating, and effortless. What a relief this was! The restaurant itself ascetically is beautiful! Exceptionally clean as well to add. They even contacted us a few days before the party to finalize all accommodations and make any changes necessary. How professional! The ornate Holiday decorations were stunning and all attendees were in awe of just how beautiful the restaurant looked which was also an amazing touch! The tables at which our party was seated were decorated gorgeously with candles, fresh rose pedals, and ornate glassware. The holiday menu we decided on between us and management served an over abundance of food. All of the food served was top notch and delicious; each dish was excellent. Needless to say, all guests left full and happy. We started with appetizers which were all more delicious than the next. Dinner we had a choice between three entrees; meat, fish and chicken. This was also amazing as our guests had different taste palates so Vero Social best accommodating us all was amazing. They also provided us with Gluten Free options for the pizzas and pasta which was also a wonderful, thoughtful addition. The drinks flowed the entire time, with no one ever having an empty glass. Also a great service as there was no drink they would not accommodate for our guests. The dessert was amazing as the owner especially ordered a cake that matched the Holiday celebration we were there for. It's the little touches. Honestly, we are beyond happy that we celebrated our Holiday party here at Vero Social with our loved ones. It was definitely worth every penny spent and we were treated like VIP from start to finish. Our guests loved every second as did we. Thank you to all the wait staff, bar and kitchen staff for all of your hard work. You definitely helped us to make memories to last a lifetime. Wish I could leave 0 stars. The owner/manager harassed us and yelled in our faces when we asked about a discrepancy between the menu price and the check. From the reviews it looks like this happens often. The waitress was uneducated about the menu when asked simple questions like what type of vodka was in the happy hour martini or what was in the croquettes. My cousin and I closed out our Tuesday (ahem) night with a cocktail at Vero Social. We loved our time there - the bartender Marko in particular. We don't usually meet in that area of Manhattan but as we were leaving we said we would actually come back because of the atmosphere, the fact that it's opened late, the cocktails, and the staff. AND THEN I LEFT MY BAG THERE - realized at 1am and when I immediately called them it went straight to vmail. All of a sudden, Marko was PROACTIVELY calling me to let me know it was safe (and i went back to retrieve it immediately). The care (he found my name in the bag and GOOGLED MY PHONE NUMBER) and customer service and overall just HUMANITY that I felt after last night compelled me to write this. Thank you. He physically brought in the sign from outside and yelled in our faces that we should have known what the price was even though it was different on the menus that were provided. Everyone in the restaurant turned to watch and some people asked if we were ok. I have never been treated this horribly at a restaurant.
