Stopped into Twin Peaks on Polaris for dinner on a Sunday. The place was busy but I was able to…read moreget a seat at the bar right away. The staff is nice and this particular location seemed larger than others that I've been to. Food was just as good as I've become used to. Chips and queso dip while the Masters was on TV is a great combination. Their chicken and shrimp basket is also really good. So much going on that I forgot to take any photos of the food. But I'd definitely go back.

If a ski lodge and a sports bar had a baby, you'd get Twin Peaks - Polaris Parkway -- and honestly,…read morethat's not a bad thing. During our recent visit up on Polaris Parkway in Columbus, we decided to sit on the heated patio (which is clutch in Ohio). The vibe inside? Rustic wood, stone accents, mounted TVs everywhere -- classy lodge energy with a side of game day chaos. The staff rock the signature red-and-black checkered flannels, jean shorts, and Ugg boots -- think "sexy lumberjack chic." It's playful, but the atmosphere itself feels more polished ski retreat than dive bar. Our server, Sydney, was friendly and efficient. She stayed on top of refills and check-ins even though the place was buzzing. Now... small rant. We unfortunately sat under a speaker, and it felt like I was eating dinner at a rock concert. I'll never understand the volume war: music plays to drown out conversations, people talk louder, then the music gets turned up again. Next thing you know, I'm basically yelling my sandwich order to my wife. Sorry -- rant over. Speaking of that sandwich... I ordered the Turkey Smashed Avocado Sandwich -- basically an upscale club. Turkey breast, Swiss, smashed avocado, bacon, tomato, red onion, arugula (nice touch instead of basic lettuce), and spicy mayo on potato bread. It came with waffle fries and one of their famous 29-degree beers in a frosted mug. And let me tell you -- that ice-cold beer absolutely hit the spot. The sandwich was fresh, stacked high, and packed with flavor. My wife ordered the Smashed Avocado Burger with fries and said she'd happily get it again. Twin Peaks sometimes gets labeled as "upscale Hooters," but don't believe everything you hear. Yes, the uniforms are on the sexy side, but the decor is classy, the food is scratch-made, and the menu goes way beyond burgers -- steaks, meatloaf, skillet green beans, loaded chips... it's more elevated than people expect. So if you're near a Twin Peaks, stop in, grab an ice-cold 29-degree beer, order a burger or sandwich, and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Just maybe ask not to sit under the speaker

Fiess is normally alive music club, but on Viking game days, they become the ultimate Ohio Viking bar. Erik and the local Ohio purple people eaters club doing amazing job of transforming the place into your Vikings home away from home. They do the SKOL chant and they sing the fight song whenever the Vikings score. They give away prizes during commercials. They have a 50-50 raffle. It's like you're at the stadium. The staff is super friendly and very attentive, even though the bar was packed. Never missed a beat when your drink is empty or if you needed some food. The food is just OK. It could definitely be better in my opinion. I had the sliders and the beef just had no seasoning or flavor on it, but it was still OK. They do allow you to bring in outside food and there is a pizza joint next-door That had very good pizza as I got to try a piece of somebody's. I personally would recommend getting the pizza from next-door over the food inside. My only sort of gripe is that I wish the TVs were bigger and newer and brighter. Since the place is not typically a sports bar, I sort of get it. But they definitely need bigger TVs. Still totally watchable they just feel really small in the big space.

Service was lacking from the start. One of our meals, a grilled chicken sandwich, came out incorrect and had to be sent back. When it was remade, the fries were cold. My husband ordered a supreme pizza and said the dough had no flavor at all--he didn't even finish half of it. My daughter had the chicken Parmesan, and while it was edible, the sauce was very runny and she rated it a 5/10. The only positive was my toddler's chicken tenders, which she did enjoy, though they reminded us of Dairy Queen. At that point, we honestly felt we should have just gone there instead. To top it off, the lemonade was extremely tart, and no refills were offered. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and not worth the time or money. We likely won't be returning for a few years!

It came cold. I ordered a deep dish personal pizza and I was afraid it would take awhile to cook and might hold up everyone's food. But not to worry, everyone else got their food ok. Waiting as long as I did, I should have had a hot one, but no! It wasn't even close to warm. We may try this again with just my wife and at a slower time, but I'm not in a hurry. Service was good.
